Cet ouvrage montre qu'il y avait au coeur de la passion d'amour qui animait une Eglise en révolution, une illusion et une perversion de la charité, dans sa nature même. D'où la nécessité de présenter une conception, nouvelle dans sa forme, qui offre à la foi le terreau où elle peut s'enraciner.

this is def. his chef d'oeuvre, not only delivers a scathing (and at time quite poetic) critique of modernism but also develops a whole metaphysic. ezly one of the most important theological works of the century.
