A rival designer arrives in town, bent on stealing Violet's business. It's a case of two ghouling designers. Will it be a fight to the death?
It’s a witchly case of ghoulish duelling designers, when rival interior designer Cookie Castleman shows up in town, and sets her sights on taking over Violet’s territory.
Between wooing Violet’s clientele and plagiarizing her designs, not to mention, playing up to Sotherby—the ghostly host of Murder Manor—Violet’s about to off Cookie herself. But somebody beats her to it.

“I tell you, Violet, sometimes I think your stubbornness is a sickness,” he snaps. “Or one of my greatest virtues, depending on the day.”
What will happen when a rival designer blows into town threatening Violet and Sotheby both. Yes, she sees ghosts, has more money than anyone, an ego the size of New Hampshire ànd will do anything to anyone standing in her way... Be careful Violet! Between her and the Coven council you're spreading yourself awfully thin.
But love will find a way to find a way to get everyone to get what they deserve... including Cookie Castleton!
Without a doubt, this book is a winner. And I understand it's not the end of the series? Bring on #6 please! Highly recommended 5/5

This series is such fun. The characters are great: Violet the main character, but especially Sotherby the ghost. The overall vibe is fun! The story is fun! Really entertaining, and a good book to escape into. There were a few times that I LMAO! Do start with book 1 though, because while this story stands alone perfectly fine, the overarching plotline and the characters make this work better when read in order. This book is not a mystery, BTW. Lots of witchy fun, mayhem, a ghost, a murder; but it’s not a whodunit. That didn’t take away from the fun in any way though. Five well-deserved stars!
Cookies are supposed to be sweet right? Well someone forgot to tell Cookie Castleman that. When a new and famous interior decorator blows into town not only does Violet have to fight for her place in town as the local designer, but there's just something about Cookie thats got Violet on edge. When Sotherbys home is threatened, it's up to Violet to save it, but what's a girl to do when the owner is a ghost and can't very well stake a claim to it.
Awwwww! This is one that gets you right in the feels…especially at the end. I did enjoy how Violet put a stop to Cookie Castleman. That woman was a nightmare. I also think that Violet and her Cousin Viv come to understand each other better. All in all a very satisfying mystery! I loved it and am off to read the next book!
A page turner that you cannot put down! excitement, anticipation, and of course sprinkle in murder and top that Sunday off with a cherry of romance. Again, Viv's crazy family come to the rescue. I laughed so hard at Vivs' first broom ride.
The next in the series. Violet does everything she can to save Murder Manor from the evil clutches of a fellow designer. Will she succeed? Does she end it with Jeremy? Auat read to see how it all plays out.
Violet faces off with a new competitor in town...this time, a big-time interior designer. Is Hex Falls big enough for the both of them. Will Cookie also uncover Violet's big secret? This is my favorite book so far in the series.
