There are plenty of stories out there begging for a shot to be seen by the world. Stories that paint worlds in your head. Stories that would have you hearing the sounds of the birds, or the voice of an angel. Stories that would entice you with the familiar aroma of your favorite meal on the table, or turn your inside with the stench of rotting flesh. Stories that would love to have your heart racing, wonder, “will they make it out of this situation” or have your heart sink as you realize there’s no hope. This is just a few of them brought together on a small collection with that one goal in mind.

Seven inventive stories exploring peculiar universes.
The feather project is a collection of seven fictional stories issues by Ibis Publishing. Each tale with a fascinating atmosphere, take the reader by the hand to explore amazing realities.
Starting with a tale about an odd uninvited guest, whose presence and aura will intrigue his host. Followed by “The Black Hood” a dystopian story that not only explores anthropological and social issues but also adds a warm romantic feeling. We then witness a very personal chat between friends in “Let’s leave this place” followed by “The Island” a story full of mystery. We leap to “The kitchen girl”, a narrative with quite a plot twist and “Living a lie”, where we follow James and his friends to an unprecedented journey. We wrap this diverse anthology with “Don’t mess with Mikey” an anecdote about a friend many of us wish to have.
In general it was an enjoyable book, I find it hard to rate since every story was different and possessed their author’s personal style. I do have my favorites (the first and last stories) but I must say that all of them had a comfortable pace and were easy to read. I could sense the hard work behind all of them.
I would recommend this anthology to people that are into different kinds of fiction, especially to the young adult audience and those looking for a light reading.
