Coffee Shorts- A story short enough to finish with a cup of coffee, good enough to warm the cockles of your heart.
Ram vanishes into thin air one fine night and leaves Sunila gasping for breath. Will she survive? Will she ever find out what happened to Ram? Where has he vanished?

Her TDH hero is her partner for life, her husband Rajiv, who supports her in all her endeavours. When she is not doing either, policing or writing, she is busy dealing with her two bundles of naughtiness, the K brothers, her sons. I found the writing style to be very interesting. Like a monotone yet the heaviness in the voice will keep you glued you to the book. A woman abandoned. Why? Will she ever find out why her partner left her? It's a very short read and you will finish it in one go but that does not mean that when you close the book, the story is over. It's then that your brain starts churning. Questions like why were this topic even in a short story. My mind started conjuring images of what could have happened. One thing that this book lacks is the play around with emotions. The author has touched abandonment to realization without even once changing the voice of the narrator. Punctuated with a few scattered dialogues, this book kept me glued till the end.
Indeed Vanished Is Another Short & (Bitter) Sweet Gem That Comes From Esha Pandey. It Maybe Just 11 Pages Between The Covers But The Impact It Leaves On The Readers Is Far More Thought Provoking And It Is So Much Closer Home That One Simply Cannot Help Putting One In The Shoes Of The Perturbed Sunila Who Is Literally And Figuratively Left Holding The Baby And That Is What’s Truly Disturbing. Harsh As It May Actually Sound Compared To Death Of A Loved One Vanishing Into Thin Air Can Be Far More Excruciatingly Painful As Death Brings About Final Closure But Going Missing A Shroud Of Uncertainty Prevails Haunting Those Left Behind Not Knowing What Lies Around The Next Corner. Vanished Is A Gripping Tale Woven Around Sunila & Ram Who Fall In Love But Opt To Get Into A Live In Relationship Over Marriage. Little Realising That An Unforeseen Nightmare Is Round The Corner Waiting To Play Out When Ram Steps Out For An Errand For Their Baby But Never Returns With Nobody Having A Clue About What Became Of Him Leave Alone Why. The Pain & Trauma Of Not Knowing What Happened To Her Partner Ram That Night On One Hand And Bringing Up Their Daughter Minus Her Father Is A Nightmare. The Climax Is As Shocking To The Readers As It Leaves Sunila Stunned When Harsh Reality Dawns Upon Her.
Excellent coffee read. Very possible story with our Indian society which is in transition between the modern and the old. Also gives a view on how life can become unstable in a matter of just a few 'lamhe'(time)
