Every Dolphin Has His Day

Rate this book
For over three decades, the Miami Dolphins were considered one of the elite playoff contender teams of the NFL, but have only returned there twice in the past seventeen years. So what gives? Award-winning writer Dan O'Sullivan uses both Miami's 2017 losing season and his own quarter-century's-worth of fandom experiences to analyze a question that asks why as a society some of us continuously support our favorite sports teams that only ever seem to deliver disappointment on an annual basis - because the Miami Dolphins could just as well represent YOUR favorite team.

Definitely geared towards die-hard Dolphans, “Every Dolphin Has His Day” is a decent read with a few flaws. The passion of being a fan of the Miami Dolphins is clear and the juxtaposition of being said fan in Western New York makes it interesting. However, the story deteriorates as it goes. Throwaway lines that are on the raunchy side don’t end up adding to the narrative, but taking away from it.
