In July 1947, something crashed in the desert near Roswell, New Mexico. What that object was, as well as what happened in the days following the crash, has been hotly disputed ever since. Did the United States government cover up the existence of an extraterrestrial UFO? Were alien bodies recovered from the crash site? Or was it all nothing more than the failed launch of a weather balloon?

As part of the Syfy Channel’s ongoing mission to separate fiction from fact, the network has sponsored an unprecedented, comprehensive archeological investigation of the crash site. Utilizing modern-day forensic tools, scientists from the University of New Mexico have explored deeper into the Roswell incident than anyone has before.

Now, for the very first time, discover the exclusive complete archeological report, including the final scientific conclusions of this landmark excavation and never-before-seen maps and photos of the crash site. This groundbreaking volume also takes you behind the scenes of the investigation with exclusive day-by-day personal journals and private company emails. You think you may know about Roswell, but now you’ll know the truth.

The prose here is truly breathtaking, every sentence crafted with such care. The characters were complex, and I found myself completely immersed in their world. The emotional highs and lows felt so real. I couldn't put it down once I started. This is one that will stay with me for a long time. Absolutely worth the read!

I participated in the archaeological dig and really like this book. The dig team diaries are accurate and overall the dig was fruitful. The only issue with this book is with Tom Carey's participation. Tom is an awful writer, pompous and full of himself. The star of that duo is and will always be Don Schmitt. It's unfortunate Tom Carey is the hanger-on that continually brings down their research.

This book promised to dig up the truth and offer a solution to this great unsolved mystery. Well, even though there were many e-mails, statistics, letters, personal opinions and discussions it failed to give proper answers. The book started strong but soon came up with too many information hard to filter while reading. It was okay but nothing new here. Only for fans of this channel.

A good attempt, but it left me with mixed feelings. There were some brilliant moments, but they were overshadowed by a plot that felt too predictable. The writing was solid, yet the characters lacked depth in places. I finished it, but I wasn’t as satisfied as I hoped. It’s enjoyable, but not unforgettable.

An emotional rollercoaster in the best way possible! The story is both heartwarming and heartbreaking, with beautifully crafted characters. The writing flows so effortlessly, making it a joy to read. I felt completely immersed in the world the author created. Highly recommended!
