A Fast-paced Thrilling Read filled with Car Dangers, 2nd chance, forgiveness,& Love!

I loved the personalities of Stella & Jason! Her stubborn & his protective self are lovable❤
Stella & Jason are both investigators, Her more into the numbers & him into the security.
Imagine their surprise, when they meet 5 years after..
“You know what happened, we were hot & heavy for 3 days & then he disappeared.”
“Yea, & now he's here, in Miami, & he just happens to work for your father's competitor & he just happened to be assigned to your 1st case *here*? Seems one hell of a coincidence.”
Or Fate. Though, This about sums up the situation!
They'd seem to have connection & that's why she's hurted all the more, so she's obviously angry now, but he's had his reason (Fool-in-love) & when they get revealed.. game changer!
As they work to find the money thief from tech firm, they find that their physical & work chemistry hasn't lessen (Hot🔥)
As They near to breakthrough, from the near death experiences(Accident & bomb!), it's evident that Stella's being targeted. The enemy knows what they're doing & is hell bent to stop them.
Jason's got a 2nd chance with her & he Won't lose her. She's EVERYTHING.
They'll find the Thief.
*Omg, as the truth get revealed I devoured the story! The epilogue was perfectly woven to tie it all up❤ loved it *

Fantastic story! Characters that will steal your heart. A storyline that keeps you on the edge of your seat and glued to your kindle! For me it was a love- hate deal as the characters face their demons. You will feel their emotions and struggles. A definite must read.

Disentangling the Twisted Paths of Love
Stella Graham kicked the sand off her sandals and wiped the perspiration from her brow as she turned her back on her humid hometown of Miami, Fla. Her move to Washington, DC was a move to elegant townhomes and the sedate avenues of 200 years of sophistication, a far different vision from the turquoise blue and flamingo pink of Miami’s bungalows, art deco buildings and Bahamian cottages. Washington, DC was a place she loved, but she loved her dad more. So, after 10 years of Washington elegance and sophistication, the slender blonde-haired, blue-eyed native Floridian was home. Jillian has done it again. Her characters have drawn me into their lives and would not let me go. Even the minor characters come alive with personality. There is intrigue, danger, sexual tension that will have you fanning yourself, and a mystery that will have you scratching your head. I loved this book!
Stella has spent the last five years trying to forget Jason. After a hot weekend, he ghosted her. Now they are thrown together to solve an embezzlement at the firm of her father's oldest friend. But does Jason have an ulterior motive? Jason cannot believe it when he sees Stella again. His feelings for her have never gone away. Too bad he his cheating ex tricked him. But they have to work together, so feelings have to take a back seat. Of course, things don't work out as planned. Their attraction is as intense as it is inevitable. In the mean time, as their investigation makes progress, someone tries to kill Stella. The action ramps up, secrets will be revealed, and they find a love that will not be denied. HEA is assured. Oh, you are going to enjoy this book!
This book contains adult themes and language, hot sex, and is intended for mature readers only.

Stella has returned to Miami to help her ailing father with his investigative business. They’ve just been asked to team up with another company to help one of his old friends try to uncover who was skimming his business accounts. A brilliant forensic accountant, Stella would be able to read the numbers, but Jason’s business was more security. An ex-JAG officer, Jason was an experienced investigator who was moving to Miami for a new start after a bad break up. But when they came face to face, they realised they knew each other. They’d shared an intense, passionate weekend together, five years ago. But he’d left her high and dry, ghosting her. Stella was angry to be working with him, but she also suspected that his company were trying to buy her father out. Despite their reservations, they begin to work well together, although Stella’s stubborn. They’ve got a lot of work ahead, in more ways than one. This is an excellent story which has an interesting plot throughout. The characters have a good rapport and Jason is as determined as Stella is stubborn. Loved it

Fate always works!
When two people, that meant to be together at D.C. five years ago, were reunited in Miami to work in the same place this time, there was no coincidence. Fate worked and there was a chance to amend anything that went wrong before. However, Jason and Stella should make their best effort to bring their relationship to life against the odds, against jealousy and within an ambiance of suspense.
This is a great PI romance, with two well-structured characters, that shows us their inner conflicts and long-lasting fears, to be shared and let them work on them, and finally grew as human beings well-worthy of love and be in love. Jillian Riley had made a great job to bring us to this detective scenario, with unexpected twists and sweet performance. ¡Wonderful and enjoyable reading!

Thoroughly enjoyed this one but then this author has yet to disappoint...
I loved the reignited spark between the main characters. They admired each others' skill sets & remembered how well they complimented each other on a previous case they worked together some 5 years before. A great celebratory weekend in bed together followed & then he skedaddled with no connection since. Fate had a way of stepping in & they find themselves in a different city working a new case together. As they came closer to solving the crime the danger levels went up as did their undeniable sexual attraction. Well written as we've come to expect from this gifted author, great dialogue, humour & sizzling sexual chemistry. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.

Short mystery and second chance romance
This was a really good short second chance romance and mystery. I really liked Jake and Stella, I liked the mystery and the who is the embezzler aspect,. Seriously, I couldn't decide who it was of the three main suspects or multiple players involved! I liked the second chance romance. Do to the length of this book, you didn't get the chance to develop a strong connection to the main characters like I enjoy. You also didn't get the chance to immerse yourself in the story.
What you do get is a good short story with decent characters, mystery and romance with some mild heat. Free with k.u. Hea, mystery solved no cliffhanger. 2.5 stars

This is a wonderful story about second chances, serendipity, and true love. The tale flows with realism and it's easy to find oneself in the world with the h and H. My take is that since he's been kicked in the n#*s he's more relatable and forgivable for messing up their first time around. Yes, she forgives him rather quickly but the story is a short and her train of thoughts back up her decision. I'd read more about these two as they keep pursuing cases and I'm not normally a mystery/suspense fan! I'll be recommending this book to my friends who like a little suspense with their developing love story.

Stella returned home to help her dad and his investigation business, and a family friend with an internal business problem. Little did she realize she wasn't the only one arriving to help with this case. A 'quick blast' from her past would be there to serve as her security while investigating this case. Jason couldn't believe he would be working with Stella, the one he couldn't forget from D.C. As they work on this case, their history becomes important in solving the mystery of the investigation. Will Stella's past come back to haunt or help her? Will Jason's indiscretions help the case?
This book was an awesome read. I recommend for those you enjoy a love story with some mystery, twists, and turns.

Given a Second Chance & Not Letting Go This Time
An interesting novella with Stella & Jason. Both worked together undercover as investigators 5 yrs. ago. Miscommunication & having 5 yrs. to stew over on being used & being ghosted, Stella & Jason find they will be working together once again on someone within a successful company is embezzling. They rekindle their romantic feelings & are able to solve the mystery crime in record time. A good story to read, as is. I would have liked to have seen more in-depth information on the characters. The mystery surrounding the theft was really good, as I didn't clue into the guilty party until it was revealed.

Fortunately or unfortunately, fate brought them back together in the professional lives and it takes stolen moments and dangerous occurrences, for them to acknowledge they still had feelings for each other. This is a fantastic book, written by a talented author, which I couldn’t put down once I started reading it. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great read.

Great team with second chance for love
Jillian Riley gives us not only a second chance with romance but she adds a little mystery and suspense along with this storyline. I really enjoyed this book the storyline flowed really well and the main characters were absolutely amazing in my opinion. It had one of those who done it kind of vibes with an alpha male who went for what he wanted. Jason and Stella make a perfect team and I really liked Stella because she doesn’t take anything off of anyone. Jillian did a great job all the way around on this book

This book was a very good read. It features Jason and Stella. They met a while ago and had a one night affair. Stella is a forensic accountant and comes home to help her father's friend who's business is in trouble. She finds out that low and behold that another investigator will be joining her - and that is none other than Jason from her one night stand. As soon as they work out the situation that they are in, they become good partner and work together. However, it becomes apparent that they are still feelings involved by both of them. I highly recommend this book. I did receive an arc for an honest review.

Jason and Stella had a history but he broke her heart however he was not aware that he had broken her heart. She was a whiz at numbers and he was the strong arm for the case they would be working to solve. They were working undercover. Lots of mystery, danger, and drama. If you like romance with suspense you will love this one. It is intriguing, enthralling, and entertaining. I urge you to read Second Chance Seduction by Jillian Riley.

When the past comes back to haunt you
Sometimes it can be a good thing. For Stella, seeing Jason again after five years was a shock. Their magical weekend together ended suddenly and she never heard from him again. Now here she was, having to work with him and no way out of it. The sexual tension is more than either of them can stand but they have a job to do. Sometimes it can be a good thing. For Stella, seeing Jason again after five years was a shock. Their magical weekend together ended suddenly and she never heard from him again. Now here she was, having to work with him and no way out of it. The sexual tension is more than either of them can stand but they have a job to do. When two detectives work to find an embezzler, all the while dealing with unfinished personal business, the fireworks are dynamic! Great story with more than just a romance. Well done.

Jason and Stella had a one night stand five years ago and there was a mix up and they never saw each other until five years later expectantly. Sparks fly and they have to work with each other. He's the muscle, and she's the brains. Surely they can work with each other's strengths? It was a short and sweet story with a bit of spice and a bit of romance. Totally wasn't expecting that bad guy. You can't go wrong. I enjoyed this read for sure.

Jason and Stella spent three days together five years ago and Jason thought they parted on good terms. When they get paired up on a job he finds out that's not the way she remembers it. This story captures the attention of the reader from the beginning and keeps the pages turning to the end. There are many tense episode not only due to the mystery but for the vibes flying back and forth between the two. After the last showdown with the bad guys life ends up heading toward a happy ending.

I love a HEA as much as the next reader (especially in times like these), but I felt like bits and pieces of the story were missing to help pull me in and make the ending that much more satisfying. A substantial read with smart characters and dialogue, but would've been perfect 4-5 of 5 stars if had a more in-depth explanation of the development of characters and relationships. A quick, enjoyable read.

Ooooooh your gonna love the twists and turn in this one. Not to mention the insane heat. Great characters, with an awesome storyline.

Stella and Jason spent a hot weekend together and then he supposedly disappeared without a word. Stella and Jason are well developed and engaging and have lots of chemistry will it survive the danger that is directed at Stella? The storyline has drama, suspense and danger and most definitely steamy chemistry between the couple.

An absolutely fantastic second chance romance! The story-line is well written, well developed, witty, funny, emotionally deep, and engaging. It is an on the edge of your seat read that is packed with drama, intrigue, action, suspense, danger, shocking twists, and mystery. The characters are likeable; their chemistry is off the charts! Definitely recommended!

Second Chance Seduction is a great romantic suspense story that will have you on the edge of your seat with each turn of the page till the end. Stella and Jason's story started heat and passion only to end abruptly, 5 years later while working together again to see if they can not only find the their but their hearts again.
