It all begins with a precocious dog. Pepper Jack gets all the credit, not only for stealing the adorableness in this story, but he is the reason for bringing Kiernan and Caroline together--well, at least to their meet cute. Add in oily muscles, a delicious training session and wowza--this book has it all.

Okay, so Pepper Jack may be the class clown of his obedience training class, but he's only taking on the traits of his owner--most likely. Kiernan is known for levitating situations with humor and back in high school he was voted class clown a time or two, so it certainly seems fitting that the dog he rescued is just like him. While he's one of the best in intelligence at MarxMex, now bringing down the criminals who try to hurt others he was known as someone quite different when Caroline knew him.

When Kiernan walks into Caroline's clinic and doesn't recognize her, she shouldn't feel hurt considering she's basically been invisible her entire life, but she's a different woman than she was years ago. Caroline has worked hard at shedding the skin of the invisible girl back in school or the girl her family doesn't appreciate. She's now a highly sought out veterinarian, hence why Kiernan is standing in her clinic, so when she tries to turn him away she digs deep down searching for vindication, unfortunately she doesn't. Good thing for her, Kiernan is stubborn and shows up for her class even when she didn't want him to.

Caroline's life takes an intense turn when she's pursued by a stalker and her safe life suddenly is violated. Thanks to the company where Kiernan works he's able to help, but more so for his own peace of mind, he's able to insert himself into her life and get a second chance at winning her over. Caroline and Kiernan grow closer while he tries to catch her stalker, but will they catch the man before things take a turn for the worse?

Filled with suspense and steamy romance - bring a fan to cool down because Emma brings the heat - Vow of Worth has it all!

This was my first time reading this author, and while I didn't realize this book was part one series, I wasn't lost at all. Kiernan and Caroline (and of course Pepper Jack!!) have a beautiful relationship, and while there was definitely some suspenseful moments, I just really adored their relationship!

So Caroline had the biggest crush on Kiernan in high school, but she's never been the girl that stands out. Not at school, and definitely not in her family. She's used to being overlooked and talked down to, and just felt like she would never be good enough for anyone.. But now that she's a veterinarian and feels like she's slowly making her life her own, her old crush comes back in her life in full force -- only he doesn't remember her.

Kiernan may not remember who Caroline was, but he definitely wants to know who she is now. With the help of Pepper Jack (his pit bull mix!) And all of his issues with listening, these two start spending more and more time together, and quickly becomes the best part of their days. But when Caroline is the target of cyber stalking, Kiernan and his company vows to protect her at all costs. And with hearts on the line, it could be deadly.

I saw so much of myself in Caroline and I LOVED how much Kiernan *saw* her and championed for her. He loved her in such a beautiful way, and never wanted her to question her worth ever again. This poor man also has a heartbreaking background, and I loved how these two just fit together and helped one another overcome their pasts. I just love this book so much!!

I will definitely be going back and reading the other books in this series!!

**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!**

This is the kind of book I love to read and gobble up every word to find out what happens next. It snagged my attention from the first sentence and had me laughing out loud on the first page. And it’s all due to Pepper Jack, the pit bull mix. I adore animals in books, when they’re done well, and I’ve met some pretty memorable four-legged friends in my romance reading. But Pepper Jack? He makes all those other furry friends a distant memory as he leaps off the page, sprawling out to demand belly rubs, and grinning charmingly at the reader.

Since I’m new to this author, I can’t give you the background on the series, but Renshaw has a new fan for life, because this book is utterly, heart-stoppingly amazing!! First we have the endearing Dr. Caroline Conroy, veterinarian extraordinaire who was invisible in high school, never met her parents' unrealistic expectations, and has worked diligently to now be a highly sought after animal vet and trainer. Then there's Kiernan who was always the laid-back life of the party, now a topnotch security specialist, along with his unruly pup, Pepper Jack.

Caroline knew who Kiernan was in high school but he never knew she was alive, so when he brings Pepper Jack to her vet clinic, she does everything she can to dodge and avoid Kiernan. And the more she tries to brush him off, the more determined Kiernan is to spend time with Caroline. All for the sake of Pepper Jack's social training and doggy discipline, of course. (Spoiler alert: some tiger stripes can’t be changed, and PJ hilariously steals every scene he's in.) But when a cyber stalker targets her, Caroline has no choice but to trust Kiernan and his expertise.

Y’all, this book had me right from “once upon a time” all the way through to “and they all lived happily ever after” and every single word in between. My heart went from joyful laughter to dropping into the pit of my stomach, then soaring on wings to being stuck in my throat, and finally settling with a euphoric happy sigh. This story is one heck of an epic emotional ride and I loved every second! It's by turns poignant and endearing, hot and steamy, hysterically funny, and grippingly nail biting. This is one of the best books I’ve read this year, and you absolutely won’t want to miss it!

This is the first book that I have read by this author I had not known that it was the 6th book in a series. I have to say that I am in love with this book.
Caroline always thought that she was invisible and due to that she is now a successful Vet. She is strong and worked hard to get rid of her insecurities. One day when Kieran and his dog walk into her work she is taken back by him because he was the one that she had a crush on, and he never noticed her. Well that was until he walked into the vet. He then signs up to take puppy classes so that he and PJ can get to know Caroline more. Kieran was adorable, he knew just how to make Caroline feel better and to make sure she feels protected. Just loved him.
I for sure need to read the other books in this series if there anything like this one.

I've loved Emma Renshaw's books with every release, but, Vow of Worth...I more than loved this book. I freaking super love this book on a level that is probably not healthy. Caroline and Kiernan are hands down my favorite couple from Emma ever! These two are so freaking perfect together it is not even funny. To see a man put so much into not only telling, but showing his woman how important she is and how beautiful she is..*sigh, swoon, fans self* it was magnificent!
In between all my happy sighing and swooning I was on edge with the suspense that was building right along with the heat between Caroline and Kiernan. I found myself anxious to see what was coming and where it would come from next.
Then Emma went and brought Pepper Jack into things and my heart was forever and permanently lost to this book. The antics of the bookworld's most adorable pupper added in these extra lighthearted moments that had me cracking up more than once. Emma Renshaw hit all the boxes on my must read favorites list with this book!

Pepper Jack stole the whole book. Honestly Kiernan is one of my favorite character in the series and I was so excited for his book. He was funny, sweet and protecting over the people he loved. Caroline had toxic people in her life but that didn't mean she ever forgot who she was to please those people who the only thing they could do was judge. She was amazing.

Oh, how I already adored Kiernan and his gruff demeanor. Add a seriously troublesome dog and Caroline to the mix and it’s a match made in heaven. He needs help, she’s there. She needs help, he’s there. They both manage to make their family of choice fill all of the cracks and dings created by their families of blood in the end, which is part of the huge appeal of this series.

Of course, no Emma Renshaw book would be complete without my heart wrenching a little (or a lot), and Caroline REALLY struck a chord in me. She’s so much more than she ever gives herself credit for because she lets others’ pettiness sink in, so Keirnan is absolutely perfect for her, in every way. These two made for such an enjoyable read that I find myself hoping to revisit this group again soon.

For the longest time Caroline was the invisible girl. But she's shed that and is now a successful veterinarian and trying to live her life without the negative voices trying to bring her down. Then Kiernan walks into her clinic with his dog and suddenly her old doubts are back. He was the crush from high school that of course never noticed her. Well, he notices her now, and he wants her. He's darn persistent, too, showing up at the obedience class she teaches even though she specifically told him he wasn't welcome there. When a stalker starts harrassing her, though, she turns to him, and the heat between them sparks. Will Kiernan be able to protect her?

This is a top notch romantic suspense. I loved Caroline, how strong she was, how hard she worked to rid herself of her old insecurities. Kiernan was perfect for her - fierce in his protectiveness, and love. How he stood up for her, and was there for her. Their chemistry is HOT, and the fast pace and action kept the story moving along nicely.

This is the first book that I have read by this author and this book has a the suspense and the steamy moments that you need. This book is part if the series ans is the sixth book in order.

Kieran and Caroline are both meant to be and you can see it from the get go, even though its been a while this is the second chance that they both need. They are both what each other needs and the journey that they go on is a nail biting one.
Caroline doesn't feel like she has enough been at all and all and all her life has felt this way but she has worked hard to be different and to not be invisible any more. She is now she is working as a very sought after vet and when a familiar face walks into the clinic she's stunned.
Kieran is a guy that has always acted the joker and when he walks into the vets he doesn't know why the vet is acting a certain way and he decides to join the class for his dog and he is more than willing to find out what and why Caroline doesn't reciprocate his feelings. But she needs his hep now more than ever.

This book is a great read and I didn't actually realize that it was part of a series but I didn't feel like I missed out on anything though. Kieran and his dog will have you laughing out loud and you will just love Caroline and feel for everything she is and has been going through. The way that this author has written these characters was awesome and there chemistry was electric they are totally hot together. I really felt for everything that was going on and I was rooting for them both. This book will really have your emotions all over and you will feel it all, the suspense is totally captivating and you wont be able to put this book down its a real page turner.

Vow of Worth is only my second book from Emma Renshaw, but I'm really enjoying her stories so far!! In this one, we get the story of Kiernan and Caroline, who meet when he brings his dog into her vet clinic. What Kiernan doesn't know (or remember), is that they went to high school together and he never noticed her back then - but he sure does now. Kiernan not remembering Caroline hits at the insecurities she feels that have been placed upon her by her family (who are downright awful), but he sure works hard to make sure she knows she's beautiful and wanted. And when a stalker sets his sights on Caroline, Kiernan will do anything and everything to make sure she's protected - even though it could cause issues with his partner at MarxMen. But the chemistry they had was HOT and intense, so the risk was definitely worth it.

This one is part of a series (which I didn't know at the beginning), but I didn't feel lost at all and now I'm going to have to go back and read the rest of them because I'm definitely curious about how MarxMen started and how all these other characters met and fell in love!

Vow of Worth is the 6th book in the Vow series by Emma Renshaw. This is Caroline and Kieran's story. Kieran meets Caroline when he takes his dog to her and she's the vet. He doesn't know her but she definitely remembers him. They attended high school together and he never noticed her back then but guess what? He sure does now. With Kieran not even remembering Caroline, it hits upon her insecurities that have been given to her by her family that have caused this. Kieran wants to know her and show her how sexy, beautiful and smart she is..but someone else is lingering in the background, stalking her, wanting to cause her fear and pain. Will Kieran be able to keep her safe? Great story with chemistry, heat, feels, secrets, twists, danger , action, suspense, romance and HEA.

My Rating: 4.5 stars *******

I have been a massive fan of the Vow series by Emma Renshaw since the debut book. There is such a level of passion, intensity and suspense in this series and with Vow of Worth, we are not disappointed with Kiernan’s story. With the level of hilarity with Pepper Jack and the connection that Caroline and Kiernan have, I was blown away by every word of this story.
With threats looming, you get the real feel for the alpha level of the Marxmen again in this series but also the comradery. I was completely blown away at the lengths Kiernan went to get Caroline’s attention even with the past haunting them! Between the threats, a flirty kilt and so much more, you really delve deep into this connection that these two have. Caroline is the perfect level of sass and bite back but her caring nature had my heart aching for her with everything she endures thanks to her family. With Kiernan, I was always intrigued about his background and what we get is just as heartbreaking.
Overall, I am completely in love with this story and I was so sad when it ended. It has the perfect amount of everything you need. The fluidity and the character build was mind blowing and I found myself devouring this book! Every word leapt off the page as it plays out in front of you! If you haven’t given Emma Renshaw a try yet, you are totally missing out on epic leading ladies, sexy alpha men and quirky moments that will have you giggling. All the swoon, all the feels and all the passion rolled into one!

I have admired Kiernan from a distance since his introduction in earlier Vow books and I am so happy that we are now able to read his story! Emma Renshaw knocked this one out of the park, it was so worth the wait!
Everyone has something from their history that they would rather leave behind, so what happens when it is your entire childhood? Kiernan is the finest example of "rise above your raising" but his past keeps trying to bring him down. He has some tough decisions to make, both in working with his best friends and in his personal life.
Dr Caroline Conroy is the best of the best in her field, so why does she feel so unworthy? Maybe its because she's been told that she's not good enough over her entire life. Caroline feels duty-bound to continue subjecting herself to the family that has sabotaged her confidence to a point that she either needs to surrender or learn to fight back.
Kiernan and Caroline come together when a stalker targets her. Now she has to put her trust in a man who didn't even know she existed when they first met years ago. Everyone has a past, but can these two have a future? I recommend this book and the entire Vow series.

I've enjoyed this series so far. I started Emma Renshaw on a whim and I've liked the romantic suspense of this series. While this series had ups and downs it was pretty enjoyable. So we finally get Kiernan's much awaited book. If you've followed along he's generally been in the background in the other books. A jokester, easy going, fun loving guy and a good uncle.

He never found the one he's intrested in till Caroline. He needed help with his dog Pepper Jack, that dog was mischief. Caroline has her own esteem issues due to her family and constantly being unnoticeable in her eyes. They did start of well but when Caroline needed help with a stalker/hacker they became closer. I really disliked Caroline's family I would have cut them out sooner they are so toxic. But Kiernan was a big help in that he saw the good in her. She was also good for the chaotic dog.

I had my suspicions early on who the stalker would be and I was right. I had no idea he would target more people though. He seemed fishy from the start. Kiernan was definitely more than his fun nature he's dependable and a good guy. I enjoy this series and excited to read Maddox.

So excited that Emma brought us back to this book world! I loved every book in this series, so this installment was right up my alley! After Kiernan adopts a dog that turns out to be his match, he takes him to the best vet in town who just happens to be Caroline. When Caroline walks into the room and finds out that she actually knows her patient’s parent, she has a full range of emotions. Kiernan is immediately attracted to Caroline and doesn’t understand why she doesn’t reciprocate the feelings, and it makes him pursue her even more. But when Caroline has a stalker and Kiernan is the best in town to figure out who it is and save her, she reluctantly agrees, and it starts the process of letting him into her life outside of her job. My heart hurt for both of the main characters in this story, for similar reasons being their past/home lives with their families. I was so extremely happy that these two found their way to each other and that they both made the others better people in their past situations. The suspense per usual was amazing and I didn’t see it coming at all who Caroline’s stalker was although I should have! I loved the storyline and can’t wait to see what’s next from Emma!

This is the 6th book in this amazing series and is Kiernan and Caroline’s journey. Caroline is worth so much more than she gives herself credit for, and is now a vet, and Kiernan was her high school crush even though he never knew she existed. Kiernan has always been the clown and the life and soul of a party, but underneath this is just a façade, and when he walks into the clinic, he cannot understand why Caroline is not interested in him. No worries though he joins her puppy training class with his precocious new baby called Pepper Jack. When Caroline ends up with a stalker she knows to turn to Kiernan for help, and he will protect her no matter what. This is a brilliant story which is humorous, entertaining, sweet, and a steamy read which had me totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I look forward to reading more from this gifted author whose work I highly recommend for all.

This is my first read of this author and the series. The book can easily stand on it's own. We meet Caroline and Kiernan and follow their road to an HEA.

They new of each other in high school but both have changed a lot since that time. Kiernan and his military buddies run a security firm now. Caroline has broken away from her stressful family and made a name for herself as a veterinarian. I loved how Kiernan wanted so badly to get to know Caroline but didn't want to cross professional lines. I also appreciated how much Caroline wanted to protect her heart.

Great secondary characters. The best of which was Pepper Jack. He stole every scene! I would definitely read more of this series. Great HEA with minimal angst. Just a bit of suspense to make things interesting. Good book!

Y'all who knew a dog could still the whole book but Pepper Jack sure did! Kiernan is Pepper Jack's owner and he needs a vet and some definite obedience training in comes Caroline who is the best at both only problem is she doesn't wanna deal with him. These two knew each other in high school but Kiernan doesn't realize it. When Caroline runs into some trouble Kiernan is the guy who can help. These two work well together and the chemistry is definitely there. He is super protective and I was completely shocked when he missed small things that may have pointed out who was behind the stalking. Pepper Jack's stealing makes for one heck of a ending.

This was a good read. Kiernan gets a dog and takes him to vet. Here he meets Caroline and is instantly attracted to her. However, she tries to ignore him until someone is trying to hurt her. Then they spend lots of time together and fall in love. I'm glad that they found happiness because both of their families were terrible people and they deserved better.

Emma Renshaw writes pure gold! Vow of Worth completes the Vow series in the best possible way! Kiernan and Caroline come to life in this beautiful love story with the perfect amount of mystery. There was plenty of passion between these characters and enough twists and turns to keep me on my toes. Emma proves, yet again, that she is a master of the suspenseful romance genre.

Loved this book...it checked off all of the things I love in a romance...mystery, murder and mayhem but also learning that things may not always be what you see until you dig deep. Just when they think Caroline is safe things go haywire and Kiernan prays he will get to her in time. ❤❤❤❤❤ I volunteered an honest opinion for this book.

Vow of Worth is the sixth installment of Emma Renshaw's Vow Series. I've been a massive fan of Emma and the Vow Series...anything she writes is pure gold but I can honestly say, Vow of Worth is her masterpiece. There isn't anything more you could want from this, it had me hooked from the first page and I couldn't have put it down if I wanted to.

Kiernan and Caroline both have their own set of demons, but that doesn't mean they both can't have their HEA. The character building was honestly, a beautiful thing. I don't know how else to describe it. I felt their highs and I most definitely felt their lows. Their love story is a beautiful story of past hurts and adulthood redemption found in one another.

If you're a Vow series fan, you're going to get to see all of your old favorites *coughROMANcough*, but let me tell you....Kiernan is just as swoon worthy in his own way. I couldn't help falling in love with him, and I know you will too.

Be ready for the epic ride that is Kiernan, Caroline, and Pepperjack!

Overall Grade: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 1/2

On finishing Emma Renshaw’s Vow of Worth, I felt replete. Renshaw’s newest book offers up more of what we’ve come to love with her Vow series: seriously alpha-men who protect their heroines at any cost, heroines whose strength is drawn from the love of their heroes but also from personal experiences that have changed their lives, and a story grounded in suspense. There is all of this in Vow of Worth plus a lot more to love, making it a perfect weekend read.

What is there to love?

★ There’s a dog named Pepper Jack. Pepper Jack is one of the best parts of this story. When everything feels serious, leave it to Pepper Jack to bring in levity. If you have ever owned a dog with a mind of its own, then, like me, you’ll love Pepper Jack.

★ Renshaw’s hero, Kiernan, is everything you love about her brand of hero. He has a lightness to himself which actually covers the hurt of his past. He’s gorgeous and insightful. Even more, from the moment he lays eyes on the heroine, Caroline, he’s gone. Like every hero in any romance book, he makes his mistakes and threatens his relationship with her, but he also loves her beyond herself, speaking truth into her soul when she needs it. The way that Kiernan loves Caroline will turn you into the heart-eyes emoji.

★ Renshaw’s heroine, Caroline, is one of my favorite types of heroines. She is not perfect. In fact, she has self-esteem issues that Kiernan lovingly notes and pours into her to change. That being said, she’s a professional woman who is successful. She’s a perfect match for Kiernan, and her relationship with Pepper Jack makes you smile.

★ The Vow family is in this book, and it illustrates one of the biggest truths of Renshaw’s story. What we learn through their relationships with Kiernan and Caroline is that family can be created, brought together through mutual love. This is an important message that Renshaw carefully tends to as the story progresses.

★ And of course, there is some romantic suspense here. It wouldn’t be a Vow book if there isn’t some type of intrigue to solve. This draws you further into the story. I’ll be honest, though. I figured out the person wreaking havoc in the story. I’m not sure if Renshaw intended it to be difficult to figure out, but I determined it early on. That being said, it didn’t dissuade me from reading because Kiernan and Caroline’s journey has elements of sweet, $exy, and sassy to keep you engaged.

Emma Renshaw’s ability to grab her reader and offer up characters that ingratiate themselves into your reading is what calls to me. I love it when I find out that she’s writing a new book because I know she’ll bring a story that tugs at my heart. Vow of Worth is more of that. When Kiernan protects Caroline from strangers and her family, my heart became his. Grab this one today!

When I first read the book description of ‘Vow of Worth’, I knew this was a book I wanted to read. So when I got the ARC to read, I was super excited and started reading as soon as I could. ‘Vow of Worth’ is my first Emma Renshaw read.

In ‘Vow of Worth’ we meet Caroline. Caroline grew up thinking she wasn’t good enough. Her mother always let her know what a disappointment she was. But now Caroline is a vet, and she loves her job. And she is determined to make something of her life and be more confident. Than one day Caroline comes face to face to her high school crush Kiernan. But Kiernan doesn’t remember Caroline. And he is immediately charmed by the woman she is now. But Caroline tries to stay away from him. But when Caroline is threatened, Kiernan is the only one who could help her.

This book started a little slow. We read the book from both Kiernan and Caroline’s point of view, and it takes some time for the story to really start. But both these characters had something about them, that made me wanted to keep on reading and before I knew it I was hooked.

I loved that this book was a romantic suspense. There was plenty of romance, but there was also enough suspense to keep me guessing and siting on the edge of my seat. I loved getting to know the two main characters and I loved reading how much Caroline slowly grew in her confidence. But what I did hate was her family. I mean what a terrible people. And I wished Caroline would have stood up to them earlier.

The romance between Caroline and Kiernan was definitely my favorite part of this read. I loved these two characters, and I loved how Kiernan was with Caroline. There where definitely some fun and sexy moments, and it was just overall a very nice read.

When I started reading ‘Vow of Worth’ I didn’t know this was a part of a series. But fortunately this book is a standalone, and I didn’t feel like I was missing something at all. If you looking for romance, mystery and suspense.. than this book is definitely for you.

I've been waiting to read Kerinan's story since we met him in Roman's book! Let me tell you, it didn't disappoint!

Kerinan and Roman have been friends since their time in the Army together, and since Roman and Harper rekindled their relationship, Kerinan moved to Texas to be close to his best friend. He adopts a dog named Pepper Jack, who is a little trouble maker, so he decides to get him enrolled in some training classes.

When he takes Pepper Jack to Caroline's vet clinic and meets her, she notices him right away from high school, as she had the biggest crush on him. She's use to being overlooked and talked down to and has never been the type of girl to stand out before. She's shocked to see Kerinan after all these years and she still is attracted to him. After she tells him who she is and they went to school together, he still doesn't remember her much in school, but he definitely wants to know who she is now. After being targeted by a cyber stalker, Caroline goes to Kerinan to get help protecting her and he vows to protect her at all costs. With Pepper Jack's help and his bad behavior problems, they spend more time together and get to know each other.

I absolutely loved Caroline and Kerinan together. Kerinan was the ultimate book boyfriend-- I felt like he was more in tune to his feelings and emotions and he saw Caroline in such a beautiful way and helped her see her value, beauty, worth and kept her safe. They both had heartbreaking childhoods/ family lives that are still ongoing as they grew into adulthood, and I thought it was beautiful to see them help one another with their support and advice throughout the book. Together they overcame their pasts and this book was so beautifully written!
