An anthology of Battletech stories ranging from the Succession War through to the Dark Ages and everything in between. It was an enjoyable nostalgia trip, and I'll be reading the rest of the Shrapnel issues for sure.

Not every story is a hit (but that's expected in a community sourced anthology project, and the stories are interspersed with game information, be it the RPG or the miniature combat game. You've got equipment stats, campaign touchpoints, and I'm given to understand future issues detail mechs as well.

All and all, enjoyable!

Good to see new Battletech fiction.

If you remember the old Battletechnology magazine from the 80's and 90's, then you should enjoy Shrapnel. There are stories for most eras, unit descriptions and even a modern version of the old Cobalt Coil bar on Solaris VII, so if you want more quality Battletech fiction, you need this magazine.

If you like Battletech fiction, you'll count this as a win, if not, maybe not so much.

Loved this. Mix of stories, facts and scenarios. Battletech at its best.

Good stories. A few errors that could use correcting but over all not as bad as some of CGL’s recent offerings.

At 175 pages, this is less a magazine and more a full-fledged BT anthology— a typically mixed-bag one at that.
