When Davina stumbled on an injured stranger in the private section at the venue of a celebratory dinner, she had no idea he was Cadáin Mikaël Ramses, a professional soccer player who lived a reclusive lifestyle. The consequences of their one night of a passionate encounter exhumed deeply buried scars and a traumatic past Cadáin was forced to bury for twenty years. Will she be able to help him conquer his demons, or she should have taken his advice to walk away?
An engrossing and beautifully written story of two people with a past that has a strong grip over them.
Davey, is a strong independent woman, or aspires to be. But yet she wants her family's to just understand her. Ramses is facing his own demons, a past full of death and mistrust has left him scarred for life. But when their fate collide, both of them have to face their worst nightmares in order to have a future.
The story reminds that the only way to overcome fear is to face it. A perfect rom com for a weekend.
This is a romance with a difference. I must confess, I had to look up what tokophobia meant! Davey is a privileged young woman living a life dictated by her father...until she goes to a party with her friend, Sandra. She sneaks away from the action to the private quarters and meets Cadain, who she didn't recognize. Cadain is a world famous soccer player, with demons of his own. I liked that the story switches between Cadain's and Davey's perspective. It enables you to get inside both of their skins. That first meeting resulted in Davey getting pregnant. The story jumps back and forward in time to explain the key characters positions. Cadain suffers from tokophobia, a fear of pregnancy caused by events in his childhood. Will he overcome his fear and allow love to blossom? This is a romance, but you'll have to read the story to find out...giving birth early on an airplane is one of the twists.
This is one to add to your to-be-read list...an enjoyable read, and I plan to check out the author's other books.
He's terrified of pregnancy but for love of her he overcomes his fear to be the man she can love. Sabrina Oyinloye writes some of the most amazing romances. Yes you get the love story but she also Janeiro teach you something of human nature while you read.
I found this book difficult to put down once I started. It had me in tears one minute and smiling sweetly the next. It's a deeply emotional book, which explores how traumatic death can be and the lasting impact on a person. Sabrina carefully explores this as a romance unfolds before us. This book is beautifully written, balancing many different emotions with a real sexy edge.
