Faithful Cowboys #1
Falling for the Bronc Rider
A bronc riding confirmed bachelor,
a chaste barrel racer full of hope,
and the rodeos that push them together
Beth is fine being friends with Jake, but she won’t cross that line, even when circumstances push them to share the same living space.
Jake proudly wears the badge of confirmed bachelor. It suits his bronc riding career just fine. When Beth needs help, he offers her to ride along with him.
Who knew the one girl he couldn’t have, would be the one to finally reach his heart.
Falling for the Bronc Rider is Book One of Faithful Cowboys, a series that inspires hope, faith, and, of course, belief that love conquers all. Each book can be read as a stand-alone though characters are tied-in throughout the series.

A little slow
But then again, the story jumps right in. It starts with Jake and Beth already bunking together. We gradually get the background to their situations, but it is a little confusing at first.
By the end of the book, it was annoying that Beth kept assuming things. She said that was the lesson she was supposed to learn, but she didn't seem to. She threw me off a few times with her assumptions, because they seemed random. And not once did Jake and Beth just have a conversation about expectations and relationships. So much of their angst could have been handled by talking to each other.
Also, this is book 1 in a new series. It is supposed to be a stand alone. But there were several characters that were in another series. It didn't feel like they just tied into the story. It felt like you needed to read the other stories to understand why these characters were brought up. (There was also a very unnecessary spoiler about one of the couples. It didn't flow with the story and could have easily been left out.)
One more pet peeve. Two characters names changed. At first, Jake's brother was Matt. Then it was Jimmy. And Derek was later referred to as Deter.

Very good book. I loved them both. Jake really liked her but ge was scared to enter a relationship for fearing of losing her later on. And Beth was a sweetheart, she wanted things out of life too. In the end, they both got to a mid term so they both could get what they needed and wanted. I loved that each one solve things separately, to try to do better

I liked how patient both Beth and Jake were. Neither of them wanted to rush the other into making a decision they would later regret. There were some cute bits and I found myself smiling at their banters at times. Loved seeing Ryder, Savannah and Maci again. I absolutely loved their story.
I liked that Beth had a moral code however I did think she was too preachy. For such “high moral standards”, all her preaching and Bible reading, it was unbelievable that Beth would agree to be with Jake without a commitment or hopes of marriage in the future. It was hypocritical and I could not get passed it. Its baffling that someone could love you so much and want to spend the rest of their life with you but not want to commit.
Although this story had a happy ending there were just some things that didn’t sit well with me.

The story was ok and enjoyed that it was a Christian book but did not captivate
my attention as other books have. Nothing exciting or suspenseful.

It was a wild ride that led her to where she was supposed to be; falling for the bronc rider.
Beth and Jake's love story unique and romantic. They are both in the rodeo circuit, Jake as a bronc rider and Beth as a Barrel Racer. While on the circuit, Beth's truck breaks down stranding her and her horse, Faith. Jake comes along and offers to let her stay with him in his camper, which has 2 bedrooms, and a horse carrier that will fit his horse and Faith. As they get to know each other, Beth falls in love. Jake has commitment issues from his past, which he has not dealt with so when he tells Beth he loves her, she talks about marriage and kids and he cannot commit. He opens up to her and she helps him deal with his past. I love their banter and flirting. I also love a book with a beautiful wedding and this one has 2, first for their friends Ryder and Savannah and then in the epilogue Jake and Beth's wedding.
All in your plan, God, I'm following you.
Jake said Beth was innocent, smart, funny, and beautiful in the wholesome natural way. Like this morning freshly woken up...she was more beautiful than ever.
Beth told Jake; Burdens weigh a lot less once they are shared and they disappear completely when you let God take them.
There was peace in Jake's arms last night--a peace that made her believe everything would be all right. God had His plan.
Jake and her being together had to be God's will, and she felt it in her soul. Saying a little prayer she ended with a smile. She would rein in her cowboy.
Her prayers had been answered. This promise was all she needed to allow herself to fully fall for Jake.
Danae has written another blessed story about being a bronc rider, bein a barrel racer, having your truck break down, living in a camper together, breaking through a persons commitment issues, and of course, falling in love. I recommend this and all of Danae's books to everyone.

My thoughts about this book:
• The opening scene, in which Jake prepared to be let out of the chute on a bronc, caught my interest right away. My interest was captivated from the beginning until the satisfying sweet ending of this novel.
• The character development of Jake and Beth was thorough and deep. The author made them truly relatable and I was totally invested in their story. Their romance touched my heart.
• The descriptions of locations and emotions were well done, easy to visualize, and to feel. I felt a part of the rodeo circuit scenes and Jake's and Beth's life.
• There were lots of witty banter and fun situations for this couple. Their banter put a smile on my face as I read.
I was given an advance copy of this book. My review was voluntary and my opinions were my own. I highly recommend this book to western romance fans. This was another great book by Danae Little and I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Jake is a commitment phobic bachelor but he helps Beth out by letting her bunk with him when her truck breaks down and she can’t make it to the rodeo. It was interesting reading about the rodeo lifestyle. I would love to travel more, but I don’t think I’d like living out of a trailer even a tricked out one with a nice shower. Jake has a playboy image and by staying with him by default it reflects on Beth. She was lucky she wasn’t propositioned by other rodeo guys. I liked that they were friends, but he pushes the boundaries at times. I loved that she enjoyed barrel racing, but it wasn’t her life. She used her winnings to pay for expenses and further her education by becoming a physical therapist. My niece is going to school for that and working the rodeo as a physical therapist sounds like a cool niche. I was disappointed that there was no follow up about Jake reconnecting with his family. It was great to catch up with Ryder and Savannah from Her Wounded Cowboy.

An Unexpected Love -
Jake stopped believing in God and family after his painful loss, which led to him living his life as a playboy on the rodeo circuit. Even though Beth lost both her parent’s when she was very young, she never lost her belief in God and led her life in accordance with his teachings. This is a story about the different ways these two dealt with their faith in God, as watched Him reveal his plan for their lives. The characters and the storyline were entertaining and enjoyable, but Danae’s did an awesome job making the story come alive. I really enjoyed reading this story and I couldn’t put the book down until I finished it. I urge to to get this sweet, clean romance, that will fill your heart with joy.
I received a copy of this ARC and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

(3.5 stars) - Riding it Out
Jake is a "free spirit" who doesn't want to be tied down. Beth is a Christian girl who wants to have a family of her own. Both have experienced painful losses in their lives, Beth's drew her closer to God, & Jake’s led to him distancing himself from God and everyone else.
The story is a pretty traditional good girl saves bad boy trope, but it's well written & the dialogue between the two is frequently amusing. Beth is a little too weepy & demure for my taste, but she could be clever & is believably written.
Jake is a good guy at heart & just needs the right motivation. The two of them make an adorable as well as complementary pair. And I'm always up for a conversion story!
*Romance level: sweet kisses, nothing graphic
*Religion: overtly Christian

Jake had a reputation that made him less than favorable. It was difficult to tell if the tales were based in fact, but the possibility almost cost him a real relationship. What in the world was Beth thinking? She used Jake's posse of female fans to create an emotional barrier that was rather flimsy. The friendship that developed between this unlikely pair was deep and abiding. Personal growth was marked but painful due to a universal dilemma: is God still good even when life hurts? This is a sweet clean inspirational romance. I received an advance reader copy of this book and this is my honest opinion

When Beth's truck breaks down it is Jake that offers assistance so she travels to the next rodeo with him until her truck can be fixed. They get along well and she is actually attracted to the popular bronc rider but she is not impressed with all the attention he gets from the ladies and he is also not living a christian life which is important to her. This will be her last season with the rodeo as she needs to get her serious career as a physical therapist going. Jake wants her to like him and the more time he spends with her he realizes that he needs to change and she also encourages him to contact his family that he has not seen since his older brother was killed in the war.

Cheeky and the Cowboy
Aaaah. Jake has been unwilling to commit to any relationship for years since he lost his big brother/best friend shortly before he returned home from the army. He left everything behind including his family for the rodeo circuit. He looks at Beth as his personal Angel and when her truck breaks down he offers her the spare bedroom in his trailer. His confirmed bachelor status is sorely tested as she breaks down his walls. They are both their best selves when together and it shows in the arena.
Jake finally let’s himself be vulnerable, but Beth know it’s not her plan but God’s that important. Clean and wholesome and oh so nice.

Danae did it again. Brilliant
Book 1 in a brand new series but with overlapping characters from her other series.
This is a slow burn, sweet and heartwarming love story. They both have a past that holds them trapped in fear. But with time, patience and love they both learn to drop their guard and let the other in. And when they do they discover something they realise they can no longer live without. Each other.
I love this authors books. I can never get enough. You will love it too

Beth and Jake 💞
Lovely, romantic story of a barrel racer and a bronc rider. Beth is a shy, quiet, believer who broke down on the side of the road. Jake is a devil may care Bronc rider who happens upon her when she is stranded. With no other options, she agrees to "bunk" with him in his two bedroom trailer while she finishes her circuit. As they grow closer and eventually fall in love, can this confirmed bachelor truly give his heart to her?
Loved this story! Looking forward to Cameron and Vic's story next.

I enjoyed this sweet and clean romance about a bronc rider and barrel racer who met on the rodeo circuit. Jake and Beth were likable characters, and it was fun watching their friendship grow until it became more, and also, to see the personal growth that took place in each of them as they worked through their own individual issues. I always love a good happy ending, and Ms. Little did not disappoint me in that regard. I look forward to continuing this series, and highly recommend it to romance lovers everywhere.

Wow what a ride..Danae Little sure knows about cowboys and cowgirls. She know her rodeo to. Her barrel race and bronc rider descriptions are so accurate.
She writes such a perfect blend of the feelings between Jake and Beth it made my heart ache for them.
Being quiet and in the background to me is much nicer than being forward and a bit brassy. Although that is another world of hurt.
I wish I had all 5 stories in this series b ut alas to many books and not enough hours lol.
Hey pick this one up - you won't be sorry. I loved it.

As I started reading, I was afraid the story would lag in the middle, that the conflict wouldn't hold, but it did! I kept flipping those pages!
I do wish we could have seen more of Jake's spiritual growth. The story feels like relationship evangelism, which always makes me nervous, but I think Danae managed to just barely not cross that line. I just wish we could have seen his growth.
Overall, I enjoyed the story. Both characters had challenges to overcome, both had fears to conquer. It was sweet to watch Jake fall for Beth. I would recommend it to others.

Beth and Jake are quite the pair. I loved their friendship and how good they were to each other. It was fun seeing Jake put aside some of those confirmed bachelor habits as he fell more and more for Beth. They had a lot to work out to make things work for them. I enjoyed the story, but felt the Epilogue jumped too much. I wish there had been more between the last chapter and epilogue. How did Jake get from how he was at Ryder's wedding to the Epilogue. I felt I needed a little more.

A Cute Story
This sweet romance tale was a pleasant way to pass time. I liked that the heroine stuck to her principles and was willing to compromise where it was possible. I also liked the hero. He was sweet and attentive but not in an overly sappy way. Both characters had some hurdles to overcome, and it was interesting reading their story. If you enjoy sweet, inspirational, contemporary, cowboy romance, you might enjoy this book.

Beth found comfort in the Lord when she lost her parents. Jake ran from home and the Lord when he lost his parents. She longs for a husband and children but he is only wants now. I loved their friendship and how they brought out the best in each other. Can these two really be together once they confess how they really feel? Loved the ending

When Beth's truck breaks down a good looking bronc rider offers to let her accompany him in his swanky travel trailor so she can continue to perform in barre racing contests.l Despite what people think, both sleep alone but that doesn't keep either from losing their hearts to each other. This is a sweet story that will tug at your heart and clean and wholesome.

Jake is a confirmed bachelor and a bronc rider. When his barrel racing friend Beth’s Truck breaks down mid season he offers to let her bunk in the second bedroom of his rig. As they travel together they fall for each other but he won’t admit it even to himself and it takes her leaving when her truck is finished for him to realize it. Heartwarming story of love and loss and moving forward.

Fun good story
A good read I loved Beth and Jake's story, I think it started as a good friendship to build life on. I was very happy they could put their faith to work to overcome fear.

This was a really cute story!
I loved this story, but would have loved a better description of the trailer\horse trailer! It seems mighty hard to have that much room and still room for two horses. The ending was perfect!

A cheerfully optimistic story of how two highly successful individuals with quite different mindsets in the same field subsequently became friends and fell in love after a chance encounter and assistance!

Priscilla, dealing with fear
I like how Beth and Jake had to deal with their fears. They both leaned on God for help. I like how you used Beth to lead him. God doesn’t work on our time. He works on his time. You helped me to remember that. Thank you
