Tracy Brody has written a series of single-title romances featuring the Bad Karma Special Ops team whose love lives are as dangerous as their missions. A SHOT WORTH TAKING and IN THE WRONG SIGHTS won the Golden Heart® for romantic suspense in 2015 and 2016. DEADLY AIM was a four-time finalist in the Golden Heart.
She is now working on a romantic comedy series featuring Army heroes and hopes to make you laugh and cry and fall in love with her characters.
She has a background in banking, retired to become a domestic engineer, and aims to supplement her husband’s retirement using her overactive imagination. Tracy began writing spec movie and TV scripts, however, when two friends gave her the same feedback on a script, saying that they’d love to see it as a book, she didn’t need to be hit over the head with a literal 2” x 4” to get the message. She joined RWA® and developed her craft and is still working on using commas correctly
Tracy and her husband live in North Carolina. She’s the proud mother of a daughter and son and now a mother-in-law. She invokes her sense of humor while volunteering at the USO. You may spot her dancing in the grocery story aisles or talking to herself as she plots books and scenes while walking in her neighborhood, the park, or at the beach on retreats with friends.
This is book three in the Bad Karma Special Ops series. All I can say is Wow! This book was awesome!! This series keeps getting better with each book. I’m officially hooked on Tracy Brody’s books. This book is so well written, and the storyline is great. In this series the females are strong, and the males are alpha but know when to trust their women. I love that they don’t run in to save the day. You can’t help but love the guys from Bad Karma. This book can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend that you stop and grab books one and two. You won’t be disappointed. This book is a full-length novel.
Tony Vincenti is starting to feel that there may be more to life then meaningless hookups with strangers and his career. After watching one of his teammates find love he’s thinking along the same lines. He wants someone to love and come home too and maybe a kid or two. He can’t stop thinking about FBI agent Angela Hoffman. They worked a case awhile back. You can read about it in the novella Undercover Angel but it’s not necessary to read the novella before reading this story. He hasn’t forgotten “Angel” and would love to see her again. Tony lucks out and his team is called in to help agent Hoffman on a case to find a wanted terrorist. Angela and Tony get involved and they both start falling for each other, but Angela has a past that seems to be catching up to her. Can she find a way to stay safe or will she have to leave tony behind?

I love the guys from Bad Karma a special ops group that love to dish out retribution to the bad giys and this latest offering is great It is Tony Vincenti and FBI agent Angela Hoffman's story If you want to read how these two met then join Tracy's newsletter and you will receive Undercover Angel which is that story
Tony has seen two members of his team find the women of their dreams and with the example his large Italian family showing him how love can be he knows he wants more than one night hookups but he can't stop thinking about the woman he met on a undercover sting Angela. When all his hopes come to fruition and he and his team are called into help the FBI on a case to go after a wanted terrorist al-Shehri (the fog)one they have been chasing for years he once again gets to work with Angela. But there is something in Angela's past that is going to come back to her into extreme danger and it will take all of Tony and his teams skills to keep her safe because this danger is much closer than they realise and at the same time they have to track the terrorist down before he releases hell on USA soil.
The author once again brings strong, well developed characters , gives them a combustible chemistry and takes them on an action packed journey filled with danger and suspense that had me glued to the pages. It's a steamy and thrilling story and I loved reading. It was a fast paced book with lots of twists, turns, drama, loads of action, humour, banter between all the characters, and has well written story that didn’t want to put it down at all. I want more from this series please! Happy reading everyone!!
A Shot Worth Taking is the third book in the Bad Karma Special Ops series. This is a must-read romantic suspense series.
I loved Tony and Angela's story. Their characters are intelligent, likable, and have explosive chemistry together. The book is well written and fast-paced, with humour, action, undercover work, secrets from the pasts, a dirty bomb, terrorists, danger. intrigue, and a second chance for romance.
I cannot wait to read the next book in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I have not read the previous books in the series but this works as a standalone. It was a fast paced book with lots of twists and turns, loads of action, humour, banter between teams, well written characters and a love worth fighting for. Both Tony and Angela had been shaped by the experiences of their past relationships and their family life growing up. I enjoyed the book from beginning to end and will definitely be looking out for more from this author.

This series of three books all had Special ops teams and very different story lines. It includes the team members and families. Exciting reading all the way through with Romance lots of emotion intrigue and so well written
Omg love tony. He is adorable and how he is a straight shooter. But has recognized that he wants more from life and someone to come home to. Angela was kick ass and just needed someone to break down the walls that so many in her life, who should have been there for her helped to erect against those who could love her. Loved how the team welcomed her and closed ranks when she needed help. So much craziness between the terrorists and her past with both the CIA and FBI. loved how tony was determined to find a way to get her to stay and build a life. I kind of saw who was going to be apart of betraying her and his team because you can just tell with certain smarmy characters but it didn’t detract from the awesome story. Can’t wait for more.
Tony is Army Special Ops. Angela is FBI but former CIA. He's looking for more in life, a family, after seeing his teammates find their loves. She's only looking for her career, feeling too broken from her horrible childhood. This is the third book in the series, and all I can say is holy cow! It can be read as a standalone, but would be better after reading the earlier books, and it's my favorite so far. Tony is just like the guys on his team - a total alpha, but not overbearing about it. Angela can hold her own, though. Together, just wow!! The story is phenomenal, and timely in this day and age. The suspense kept me on the edge of my seat, and unable to stop reading even to make dinner. (My iPad fits nicely on the counter in my kitchen, tyvm.) I'm looking forward to the next book.

If you want a book that has a great storyline, action, danger, mystery, hot hunky military men, and a slow- building, intense romance, then this is definitely the story you don't want to miss. Tony and Angela not only deserve a second chance, they deserve a future.
Tony and Angela met once before when they had to partner up in an undercover operation. The attraction was there but no time to act on it except for the roles they were playing. Now, two years later he turned up unexpectedly during another assignment of hers. Which means that something more was going on because very seldom would a Special Ops team be part of an FIB operation. Tony could not believe it when he recognized her, the woman who haunted his thoughts for months. And this time he is not letting her get away. But before long Angela is in real danger which ended with her getting shot and Tony keeping vigil beside her bed. On her release from the hospital she found that someone tampered with her security at home and having a bounty on her head as well as the involvement of a well known terrorist in her last job, she had only Tony to trust and went with him to his hometown., knowing that he would protect her. Before long Tony knew that he could not let her go once she is healed but first he has to make sure that she is safe and his team also has a terrorist to catch. This was the first time I've read this author's books but definitely not the last. The book had me hooked from the first page with a lot of action intertwined with emotions and the start of a beautiful love story.

This is my first time reading something by Ms. Brody. This is the third book in the Bad Karma Special Ops series, and boy what a book! After reading this, I definitely want to go back and read the first two books in the series. The storyline caught my attention right from the start and I became immersed in the story and had a hard time putting it down. The characters were well-developed and interesting and they had great personalities which gave them an authentic quality. I felt myself really drawn to them and became invested in their story. I loved that this had both a strong male and female lead and that Tony knew when to trust Angela and back off. But when Angela was in danger and needed help, Tony was right there to help and protect her. This is one action-packed journey filled with suspense and danger, it will have you on the edge of your seat turning the pages anxious to see how things turn out. A fantastic read that I highly recommend! I will definitely be looking for more to read from this author!

Two years ago, linguist Angela Hoffman worked with Tony Vincent and was surprised to run into him in a NY restaurant while on her latest undercover assignment where they’re both looking for a terrorist. Tony’s able to wrangle an agreement for Bad Karma to partner with the FBI on the case and made plans with Angela when the case wraps.
As the team digs, they find basic information on an upcoming bombing while Angela’s co-worker/Tony’s ex-teammate drops hints about his past with Angela angering Tony and Angela continues her assignment. Angela gets what the team needs but at a terrible cost as Tony and his team kicking Tony’s protective instinct as he and his team follow her lead to the bomb.
Tony and Angela note suspicious activities leading Angela to confess an early assignment left her vulnerable to a drug cartel that could still be looking for revenge which doesn’t sit well with the team. That said, this outing had two intriguing threads warring for primary giving the read a more ‘separated’ feel than I’d like. I like but don’t love the outing or the series. Rating: 4stars
Tony Vincenti is starting to feel that there may be more to life then meaningless hookups with strangers. After he sees one of his teammates find love he’s thinking along the same lines. He wants someone to love and come home too and maybe a kid or two. He can’t stop thinking about FBI agent Angela Hoffman. When his team is called in to help agent Hoffman on a case to find a wanted terrorist, he feels its a sign of what his future could be. It's a fast paced book with lots of twists and turns, drama, loads of action and banter between the characters. Tony and Angela have both experienced past relationships but Angela has a past that seems to be catching up to her. Can she find a way to stay safe or will she have to leave tony behind? I really enjoyed this book, and recommend you read it too....it's part of a great series.
I really liked how you don't have to have read every book as I haven't read the second but it didn't interfere with reading this one. I love how Angela has sass and determination and boy is she one smart cookie so look out guys, then there is Tony who is cool under pressure, hawt and starting to see he wants more to life than just his job. The banter between Angela and Tony is great and I love that they also respect each other and their jobs, your rooting for them to get together right from the get go and when things get really dangerous yikes it all becomes a lip biting page turning tense time to see what will happen to them!!

This book was about Tony, who is a soldier in Afghanistan as the story begins, and Angela, who is an FBI special agent who used to be in the CIA. They have some big missions to accomplish: to stop the use of a bomb with radioactive material (a dirty bomb) being used in the United States and to find and capture the terrorists responsible for this and other past crimes while watching out for traitors. There is lots of action and adventure as they work to accomplish these missions, and lots of romance between Tony and Angela as they do. It's a great book and I highly recommend it!

Fast paced story with lots of action. Main story line started with Tony Vincenti and his Bad Karma Special Ops team working with other government teams to capture al-Shehri. He recognized FBI Linguist Angela Hoffman at a special meeting and couldn’t understand why they were using her undercover to track a dangerous terrorist. When things go south, he stays by her side to help her recover and when she is targeted by a death threat, can she trust him with her past. Will keep you enthralled to the end. Just happen to catch this one having read this author before and delighted in the reads. Each one keeps getting better also. When Angela goes undercover she will soon have a obstacle. This also is a second chance romance if following this story line. Even though it was a op realism at the time had not been a option but this time it is crossing the minds more than once. Tony is the one whom seems to think trust has to be earned. The many elements that are in this combined make for again another explosive one to fall into and get burned.
Angela is a FBI Linguist and is on an undercover mission when she sees Tony. She recognizes him from a previous mission they worked together on. Tony sees her and wonders what a linguist is doing on an uncover mission. He doesn't blow her cover and they have a quick meeting at the restrooms in order to see what the other is doing. Tony decides that his team and the FBI needs to join cases to catch the terrorist. A fast paced action packed story with betrayal and love. A fantastic story. A must read.

The Bad Karma teams joins the FBI in the hunt for a terrorist. Tony isn't expecting Angela - Special Agent Hoffman - whom he worked with on a prior undercover assignment. They had a connection but nothing happened while on assignment and then they parted ways. He'd like to explore their feelings but she's a woman of many secrets. When her case ties into a past mission and former teammate, if he can't save her they won't have time to explore their feelings. Plenty of action, heat and justice Bad Karma style.
Angela and Tony have worked together in the past and a case has brought them together again. This time Tony wants a date with Angela after they solve the case. Will they get to have that date?
This read was full of nail biting angst. There were things that happened that I kept reading to find out the results. Loved Angela and Tony as characters and all of the team, while there was one that made me wonder.
Great read filled with angst, love, steaminess, suspense, and just the right amount of twists.
This is a well written book with strong characters and an intriguing story line. The author does a great job developing the story and pulled me in with all the action and danger. I was glued to the pages reading from start to finish. She moves the story fluidly with her detailed and descriptive scenes , bringing the story to life. I enjoyed and would recommend this book. Well done!!

A wonderful addition to this series, with tons of excitement and suspense. Tracy Brody certainly didn't disappoint! The speed at which you will fly through this novel will surprise you and I wish that there was a new book already out to read next. Tony and Angela were a fantastic couple and the chemistry between them was very fun to see develop.

*****A Shot Worth Taking by Tracy Brody: I loved the writing style! This story pulled me in immediately and I couldn’t put it down. It was fraught with danger, and kept a fine tension throughout. Action packed, suspenseful, and a building romance that ends with a nice HFN. What I liked most about this story: it is a suspenseful romance that doesn’t sacrifice the story and suspense, for the romance. Really good! —PTators
This is the 3rd book in the Bad Karma Special Ops series And all I can say is wow!! This is Tony (Army Special Ops.) and Angela (FBI former CIA agent). Both wanting more out of life but has baggage that is preventing total trust. So, if you love Alpha men who can and do everything for their feisty women, this one is definitely for you! The story is well written and timely in this day and age.

Wow!! It's no wonder Tracy Brody won the Golden Heart Award! This is another fantastic read that kept me up again. I fell in love with Tony in her first book of this Series, Desperate Choices. When he meets up again with Angela, the sparks fly in the best of ways. The action of this Spec Ops Team will keep this as one of your most favorite Military Series written. I'm really looking forward to the next story. Thank you Tracy Brody for such enjoyable reading!
