While I enjoyed the storyline, as I do with all of Katie Dowe's books, I was extremely disappointed with the lack of attention to the details. The title of the book is Jamie but for the majority of the story, he's called Jaime. There are other syntax errors and character switches mid conversation which made this a more difficult read than usual. For me, the most annoying error however, was the switch of one of the key character's name.
Jaime reeling from a public humiliation by a woman he trusted allowed his uncle to convince him to try online dating. Abigail a plus sized Flight Attendant love shy based on the relationships she was previously involved in that did not end well was persuaded by her cousin to join an online dating site. Both Jaime and Abigail ended up joining the same dating site and both chose the other to start a chat with. Their chats immediately went to attraction. Yet withholding facts about themselves and Jaime buying the airline where Abigail worked had Jaime running scared. He cut himself off from Abigail without a word of explanation. Somewhere in the midst of his sealing himself off from Abigail he realized he loved her. Jaime began a campaign to get her back. Getting Abigail to give him another chance was tough and he had to face her father. Abigail's father did not care for rich White people because of what happened to her mother years earlier yet after a face to face meeting between he and Jaime gave them his blessings. Now the two are on their way to their happily ever after!!!! I am always amazed by the beautiful love stories of these Members from Money men! Another truly great story Katie, thank you much!!!!!
Pleasant surprise. I didn't have high expectations because of the online part. I'm not a fan. But I loved the development of the relationship of Jamie & Janine which was more mental and emotional first. I totally got her Dad. The life experiences of Jamie, Janine & her parents were heart wrenching and so realistic. Betrayal, trauma, abuse, racial mistrust, loss and of course crime...all real world issues happening daily. Navigating through that but still managing to find love and a lasting wonderful relationship is no small feat. Kudos!🤗👍
This book was very interesting,Abigail was very surprised that someone like Jamie was interested in her. Abigail is straight talk love that about her. Jamie could not believe he had a second chance. Glad Jamie went and had a word with her father,he mean business. But I was disappointed that her two male friends was not mention in the wedding or the end of the book. And look what Abigail end up with the air line as CEO Great reading.
Sweet story. Strong, smart characters. Ironically, I envisioned her father being played by Ernie Hudson if this was ever turned into a movie. I love that they took a chance with a dating app and each other to even begin with. I also love the fact that this story didn't have her continuously dwelling on being a size 18. All around a sweet HEA with their love emulating off the pages.
Incredible love story! When two different worlds collide in more ways than one. There were so many stereotypes in this story that included great but serious conversations. Such as different races, body types, rich and middle class (money vs power), love vs abuse. The twists and turns had me on the edge of my seat. My only grievance is that I wanted more from the couple. Highly recommend reading this book!!!
Abigail and Jamie are both looking for people who will see them for who they are on the inside. They meet through an online program and hit it off but real life for them comes with its own issues. They are meant to be together and have to find ways to overcome the challenges that pop up along the way, enjoyed.
I always pounce on the latest Katie Dowe novel, and this one is eminently satisfying! It’s like beyond-your-wildest-dreams outcome for using dating apps. The transition of Jaime and Abby’s relationship from texting to phone to in person dating is deftly written. Well done!
WOW what a fabulous story that's full of emotions and drama with unmistakable love. The characters are vivacious, emotional and enjoyable with such amazing sizzling hot passionate relationship. Their chemistry is absolutely captivating and romantic. This is definitely another magnificent story by Katie Dowe which I have absolutely enjoyed reading.
The racism from Abigail’s family past ran deep. When not dealing with past hurt causing it to fester at an all consuming rate. K. Dowe shows that one must be willing to not give up and outline any pertinent information. Racism from Abigail’s father was unexpected, but made for an outstanding read. Jamie being determined without flinching stayed the course to love.
This book was as captivating as all the others I have read by this author. Jamie and Abby Found the kind of love that most, if not all people search for when they go online to find their special someone. Good read can’t wait to read the next.
Another great romance novel Katie Dowe!I I enjoyed reading the love story of Jamie and Abigail. This book contains drama, dreams, hope, betrayal, deception, determination, persistence, and finding true love. I will be recommending this series to everyone I know!Another😊
I enjoyed the characters, but they both seemed off like the rushing into the relationship and getting angry like a kid then the catfish behavior on her part....but I got over it all and did enjoy the read .
This was one of my favorites because Abigail was really giving Jamie the blues and made him work for it she definitely didn't make persuing her easy for him I love the fact he made her father look past his prejudices
I still hate the overuse word of "darling"...I'll never be on board with that. However, this was cuteness overload! Minor grammar mistakes, didn't take away from the story. Jamie and Abigail is a instant love story with all the butterfly feels.
Jaime and Abigail's story was really good. The fact that they both lied on the dating app profile and had the nerve to be mad at each other was funny and rang true. I felt like it was a complete story. I highly recommend it.
I am hooked on your writing. I hope you might write a mystery. This was as good as the rest so I look forward to the next book again thank you for your passionate writing.
Jamie: BWWM, Plus Size, BBW,Online Dating, Billionaire Romance ( Members From Money) by Katie Dowe, BWWM Club
This book was quite entertaining . I'm not convinced that online dating is safe but it's a story and it worked for Jamie and Abigail. They both had trust issues Jamie because of his money, Abigail because she was Plus size and black. Society issues that a lot us is encounter today. It worked out and I. The end everyone survive and was happy. For mature readers 18 and above.
