Although this is an older biography (early 20th century), it still holds up extremely well. It is written by a Reformation scholar who taught at Cornell for 18 years. Smith tells us a good story of Erasmus' life and includes many judicious quotes throughout his life from his works and from others who knew him. You'll enjoy this book while learning all about the man who contributed to the start of the Reformation. I guarantee it.
