This book was very helpful for me as a new sales leader. The author stresses such things as empathy and emotional intelligence as vital to model and teach. I've seen the need for this recently with the team I lead. I highly recommend this one.
I bought the audiobook after reading so that I could review while driving.
Although designed specifically for sales managers and sales teams - there is a lot of great information in here for small businesses and solopreneurs too! I especially love the emphasis on teaching your team to be empathic, present, and curious. A must read for anyone who wants to sell from the heart - not their bank account.
This book was poorly organized and didn't even bother to attempt to give a working definition of "emotional intelligence" until almost the end. For a full review, consult the one I published through work: Maestro Mastery Book Review, June 2021
Good book although for me it was a big disappointment. I had the impression that mentioning emotional intelligence was just a marketing gimmick because the indications of how to use it in an original way were not so original or practical. It is in the vein of books that promise you the 'how to' but then only tell you the 'what you MUST do'.
I have been running sales teams for a while and I feel this book is an eye opener. This is full of good examples and material which you face everyday, and which help you in your career as sales leader.
