Marie Curie was born in Warsaw, Polandd on the 7th November 1867. Apparently her birthday is today. Marie had two children, Irène and Eve. Her last child died in 2007. She is married to a phsycist named Pierre. After getting married, she moved to France. Marie went to the University of Paris and became the first female teacher.
In U.N. Marie taught physics and chemistry. She then created the X-ray. She won many awards, for example; Nobel Prize in Physics in 1903, Davy Medal in 1903, Matteucci Medal in 1904, Elliott Cresson Medal in 1909, Albert Medal in 1910, Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1911 and Willard Gibbs Award in 1921. She is known for radioactivity, polonium and radium. On the 4th July of 1934 Marie Curie died with Aplastic Amenia in France. Rest In Peace Marie Curie.

It's concise in length hence concise in amount of background to the key facts from the life of Maria Skłodowska Curie. Nevertheless, it makes pretty successful attempts on showing her core character traits, motives and drivers, as well as objectively assesses myths around her. For a French author, also gives very decent attention to the fact that Marie was actually Polish. Perfect book for those who want to know more, but don't need hundreds of pages of details.
