This is a workbook to accompany the book 'Spiritual Intelligence: The Art of Thinking Like God'. I haven't read the original book, but decided to get the workbook because it does include a summary of the main information for each module and I was already familiar with some of the topics.

Overall, I found it helpful and did get some good things from it. There's a very strong emphasis on applying what you learn. It was a good reminder that we should be looking to God for solutions to our problems and those of the world. The idea is to build new neural pathways so that our default is to look for God's word on a situation.

However, there are a lot of buzz words and a bit of hype, which I'm not crazy about. There were also a few places where the author drew conclusions that I wasn't sure about. For example, the first, second and third heaven hierarchy. He also used John 17:22 to argue that 'you and Christ are one'. The scripture says, 'The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one.' However, in context, that verse is part of Jesus' prayer for his disciples, that they will be in complete unity so that the world will know God. So I'm not sure you can draw the conclusion from that verse that 'you and Christ are one'. I know he's talking about the Holy Spirit in us, but statements like that did make me wonder.

Again, I haven't read the book that this is based on, so I assume there is more information there and perhaps these issues I had trouble with are explained more fully there. I'm still deciding whether I'll go and read the whole book.

If these concepts are new to you, I'd recommend reading the book first. However, there is still much to be gleaned from the workbook and I found it helpful overall.
