So, you want to know about Jack Wilson? Here’s some essential 1) He’s a werewolf. 2) He’s a werewolf that plays middle school lacrosse. 3) He’s a werewolf that plays middle school lacrosse and his life is falling apart. Oh yeah, almost forgot one more terrifying fact. Someone or SOMETHING is responsible for all of the above. when the full moon invites dark shadows to come out and play.
A really good read for kids and adults of all ages. The book has humor, relatable life issues and I love the style it was written in; you were even more curious as to what was going to happen next. I like that the main character is strong headed and not afraid to stand up for what he believes in. I think it helps people to understand and embrace the idea that it's ok to be different and that you should be! Definitely a good read and highly recommended!!
What a great middle grade read from a first time author! The main character is a great example of a likable teen with excellent character. Even though the genre is fantasy/supernatural (werewolves, yes!...so tired of vampires!) there are some very real middle school issues that middle grade students will easily relate to - bullying, like (not really love) triangle, standing up for what one believes in. Definitely a worthy addition to the paranormal arsenal.
