Reflections about implicit bias, equitable learning outcomes, and the role family engagement plays
Read this as part of a book study for my school district. I really enjoyed the read and the study as there are always parents who are not as engaged as we hope for and this book gives great suggestions and advice to improve that situation and how to make the school/classroom welcoming to all parents. This year parent communication will be key so I enjoyed what this book had to offer.
This was a book recommended during a leadership academy followed by listening to him speak. This was a great read for anyone who wants to try to create more family engagement in their school districts. The book is set up in a way that it guides you through what needs to be done but also helps you create ideas and find simple ways to begin the engagement process.
