Este libro me emociono muchas veces durante su lectura. Cuenta la historia de un hombre y su viaje hacia otro país con la intención de construirse un futuro durante su juventud hasta su vida como padre de familia. Durante el relato se van intercalando líneas temporales; retazos de la vida al llegar al país, viviendo duras situaciones, desafíos propios de estar en un país ajeno; otra, con una familia ya constituida y 2 hijos adolescentes. Esta última línea temporal le da voz a su hija, quien vive la dualidad de transitar entre dos culturas.

Un libro recomendado para ahondar en lo complejo de ser migrante, sobretodo cuando las diferencias culturales son tan grandes. En tiempos de discursos xenofobos, en los cuales se busca anular al otro, libros como este pueden abrir mentes y corazones.
