Sometimes opposites do way more than attract …

Noodles has it all. As keyboardist for Angel Fire, he’s been living the rockstar lifestyle since he was sixteen. Parties, groupies, plenty of free time to surf … everything is perfect. But lately, he’s been feeling out of sorts. Aimless. Bored. Maybe his band manager’s quirky, gorgeous, and obnoxiously smart friend can help him figure it all out …

Mitzy is exactly where she needs to be. Her career as a computer specialist is flourishing, and she’s making a real difference in the world. Sure, her love life is nonexistent, but that’s OK. She has everything she’s ever wanted. Then a sexy and infuriatingly zen-like rocker saves her from a rogue wave and somehow manages to worm his way into her life. Now she’s not sure of anything anymore …

Can the rockstar and the computer nerd find enough common ground to fall in love? Or is their happily ever after destined for an epic wipeout?

Hearts Entwined is a Steamy, Contemporary Rock Romance, book 5 in the Angel Fire series of cocky rock stars. Noodles will tug at your heartstrings and have your heart racing. I want to be completely honest with you guys.... lean in.... get close..... I am not usually a rock band reader. However, I took a chance with this series because I love this authors words like I love champagne and I'M SO GLAD I DID. I have been introduced to the most intriguing characters. They are multifaceted, individual and as different as each snowflake that falls in winter.

Noodles is the laid back, surfer dude who appears to not have a care in the world, but ocean water always runs deep and he has some depths to explore. Mitzy is little miss geeky go getter and when she is all up in her mind.... swoosh.... out to sea she goes. Calling the resident merman!

I love this series. I have loved every book. I was curious about Noodle from the beginning and this book DID NOT disappoint. It was fabulous. Start with book one and dive into the concert of your life. I highly recommend.

Noodles & Mitzy Have Incredible Chemistry In This Beautiful And Patient Romance! Their Push/Pull Dynamic Echoes Throughout The Story.

About the series:

Angel Fire is a world-renowned rock band that remains at the height of success. Bandmates Ash, Bash, Bent, Spike, and Noodles have led the rock star lifestyle for years. Drugs, notably, are strictly forbidden, but that hasn’t hampered the fun. Parties around the clock with scores of willing women. Dirty contests and bets amongst the bachelors. But things have changed over time. Ash has Skye in his life now – and their son Zach toddles around Insanity, which is the oceanside home that the band shares. Piper entered Bent’s life after his injury during the band’s first USO tour. Holly made Bash believe in love again. Angel, his seventeen year old daughter, has recently added to the activity in the home, and the couple’s dogs add to the mix as well. Skye’s brother Forest is the band’s biggest fan as well as their manager, but he recently found love himself and vacated his suite in Insanity in favor of something more private. Forest may not relate well to people, but he is a genius. He runs a rescue operation that is headquartered in a large facility just across the way. That leaves Spike and Noodles as the sole remaining bachelors of the bunch. The days of non-stop parties at Insanity have been replaced with a mix of family meals and quiet interludes, so the two bandmates often go off together at night rather than invite strange women into the home.

In this book:

Noodles, thirty, is a classically trained pianist and the mysterious keyboardist for Angel Fire. He is stubborn, confident, and fearless in a Zen sort of way. Despite his bad boy persona, it isn’t unusual for him to sneak away for some peace and quiet. He knows that things are changing now. Ash, Bent, and Bash are moving in a new direction in their lives, no longer the carefree bachelors without a care in the world. Spike, his wingman, is stressed out. Angel Fire is back at Insanity for some scheduled and well-deserved down time. That translates to relaxing and songwriting, but neither is going very well. The energy in Insanity is unbalanced. Noodles works diligently to find and maintain his inner peace. Some call him a free spirit – always going on about auras, energy, medication and such. Those concepts are real to him, even if others don’t give them credence. He learned all about mediation from his mother. His love of the ocean and surfing came from his father. He loves his parents and was raised in a loving home, but he hasn’t ever considered settling down. For Noodles women have been an addiction, a physical release, yet he has never had a relationship. But witnessing what his friends have found has him reexamining the direction of his life.

Mitzy, a nerdy computer girl, is feisty and fiercely independent. She hates being indebted to anyone. She is now the lead technical engineer for Guardian Hostage Rescue Services. Forest has taken her under his wing since snapping her up from Xavier. The two share an intellectual bond. Both brilliant-minded, they can communicate on a level hard to match, and each gets lost in their work. Mitzy runs the technical aspect of the operation. She is immersed in perfecting their virtual reality applications which allow the hostage rescue crew members to train in a simulated environment prior to embarking on a mission. Her own accommodations were not ready, so Forest moved her into his unused Insanity suite, where she now lives with the legendary rock band. She works with Skye, of course, so they know one another. But Mitzy, like Forest, isn’t great in social situations. She has no family of her own and feels like an intruder in the home. She also hates being around jerks. Though she cannot help but have a small crush on Noodles, the arrogant womanizer has managed to avoid saying a single word to her. She has no illusions that Noodles would find her attractive, but she had at least expected civility.

Noodles and Mitzy have incredible chemistry in this beautiful and patient romance. Their push/pull dynamic echoes throughout the story. The waves of the ocean, the energy in the household, and the swings reflect the rhythm of ebb and flow, push and pull. The ocean in which Noodles seeks peace contrasts starkly to its incredibly destructive power. Old Joe, the Great White that Noodles has long conversations with, is another interesting contrast. Beauty and comfort are found in these despite the contrast of the opposing forces. The same is true of Noodles and Mitzy. Her chaotic mind is materialized in her multi-colored hair. Noodles feels her state of disorder and does all he can to avoid her. Dire circumstances force them together briefly. He feels their connection, but still refuses to accept it. He sees her as Forest’s annoying and eclectic assistant, and wants to steer clear of the sharp-tongued firecracker. Her energy is a threat to his inner peace. Mitzy is repulsed by jerks, and Noodles happens to be ruder than she could have imagined. Once they actually speak, though, they are surprised by how comfortable they feel with one another and the energy they create is electric. Noodles finds her feisty attitude fun instead of annoying. With his help, Mitzy’s frenzied and unsettled mind finds peace. Their love and their story is tender and delicate, yet it allows a dark primal outlet for their shared energy. The couple earns a happy ending. The story hints to Spike’s story, which is the final book of the series.

Noodles and Mitzy’s beautiful romance is a contrast between peace and chaos. It is beautifully written. Mitzy’s song echoes her trauma, and the description brings to mind a gorgeous and powerful song that is felt, though not heard. The characters are complex and carefully crafted. Both are beautiful souls. The story is written in first person. The POV alternates between Noodles and Mitzy. I rate this book five stars.

POIGNANT.
Not a word generally associated with Rock Star Romance, but it is the only word that can describe HEARTS ENTWINED by Ellie Masters.
HEARTS ENTWINED, the fifth installment in the Heart’s Insanity series is the story of Noodles, the band’s keyboard artist. Through the series we have been given glimpses of the Band’s Zen-following, Classically-trained music prodigy. We also know that the California Surfer is the band’s resident man-whore. That is, until a life-altering event entwines his soul with Mitzi.
We’ve also previously met Mitzi. Originally, the disagreeable, foul-mouthed assistant to a questionably successful Private Investigator who is actually a computer genius. In previous novels, Mitzi joined Forest’s team and is now an integral member of the Guardian HRS team. The others have long accepted that, despite their very different personalities, as a computer genius, Mitzi is Forest’s equal. Mitzi and Forest think on the same super-human plane.
A more unlikely couple would be hard to find. His Zen calm versus her volatility. Her happiness in the world of virtual reality versus his need to spend time in the ocean and commune with a shark. Mitzi and Noodles are the embodiment of Yin and Yang. Two people who had taken lengths to avoid one another brought together by a life-altering experience.
Ellie Masters tells us the story of an unlikely couple drawn together by lustful chemistry in a gentle, imaginative manner. We have been guided to use our own imaginations this time. Hot and steamy scenes are sweet and endearing, not written in the blatant graphic manner most writers in this genre present. The inherent goodness of both characters is always present in the story, making us want the best for them. I haven’t wanted a Happily Ever After for a book couple this badly since Pride and Prejudice!
As a committed fan of the Heart’s Insanity series, I find only one outstanding issue. Why did we not learn Noodles given name? Hopefully, this means there will be a future story that solves this mystery!

Noodles in the wild, up-close-and-personal, is such a different character than what I expected. He definitely leaves the rock star on stage when the performance is over. He is in touch with his inner self, nature, and everything surrounding him. He's sweet, caring, and considerate, especially where Mitzy is concerned. Noodles is more than what meets the eye, and what does meet the eye, is pretty eye-catching and sculpted as well.

When Mitzy enters his serene life outside of Angel Fire, she brings a little psychedelic chaos into his calmness. A chaos he can’t seem to ignore and soon finds he craves it.

These two make a perfect opposites-attract match. With hardly anything in common, they forge a bond that makes each of them stronger. They defend their relationship to any who balk, especially her new boss Forest. Turns out, Forest is no match for Forest, and she knows how to leave him speechless. If you know Forest, then you know, this is epic!

Hearts Entwined is another awesome story of an Angel Fire band member. Noodles is so talented and multi-faceted. You can’t help but be drawn to him and believe in his connection with Mitzy. Even though Mitzy kind of resists most of the way, she soon realizes Noodles' strengths and starts to believe her own worth.

When it comes time for reality to test them and they have to leave their little bubble of Insanity, Mitzy has to face some lifelong fears and insecurities. With Noodles by her side, anything is possible—or is it? Not everyone is ready to see Noodles off the market.

Hearts Entwined and Noodles and Mitzy captured my heart. I loved the path the story took, I loved the ‘true love’ that they develop for each other. Of course, Angel Fire stories always have a little angst, so author Ellie Masters throws that in there too. And like all the other books, we get to see the rest of the band along with their families, Forest, and a few others. This is really a special story and addition to The Angel Fire Series.

"Danger signs stand guard, warning adventurous swimmers to stay away, but this is where I commune with the universe and sync my energy with the rhythms of life." - Noodles

Noodles has it all: more money than he could ever spend, a different, beautiful woman in his bed every night, and is a member of the hottest rock band on the planet. What more could he want? What is this...sense... Of dissatisfaction, this discontent that seems to envelope him 24 hours a day?

“You’re safe, Mitzy. I’ve got you.” - Noodles

Rescuing a cluless, albeit, pretty, woman from drowning is NOT how Noodles intended to spend his morning... Having Old Joe nosing around isn't helping matters either...

"She has the most amazing eyes— deep soul-searching eyes. One of the reasons I run from her is because I’m afraid of what I’ll see reflected in her hazel eyes. I won’t like the shallow bastard I’ll see." - Noodles

"Noodles ignores my existence. What do I have to do for a little attention?" - Mitzy Mitzy is torn; she owes Noodles her life, but he won't even LOOK at her. What's a girl gotta do to get a guy to pay attention long enough for her to say thanks?

"I don’t want Noodles. Not like that. The low ache in my belly and the steady throb between my legs says otherwise. Noodles is going to destroy me, and he’s going to do it by doing nothing at all. " - Mitzy

If you like a romance story that's full of sweetness and light, loving and giving characters that know each other's hearts and skip happily into the sunset together... This ain't it! Gritty, intense and raw, Hearts Entwined will take you on a journey, one that will leave you forever changed... Highly recommend this story!!!

I'm a huge fan of the Angels Fire series these stories always Rock My World when I read them. Keyboard player Noodles has always fascinated me, so I was excited to read his story.

I love his chilled out Zen AF approach to life. I like how he uses meditation to unwind along with surfing. He's the ultimate beach bum Rock Star and an all round really cool guy. I fuxking love him.

Noodles has never been shy of female attention and has taken full advantage of what's on offer but it's not enough for him anymore he's missing something and he's feeling a little off balance. I loved his little talks with Joe, even if they slightly terrified me.

Mitzy crashes into Noodles life and it's like catching the ultimate wave. Only this little pixie is one wave Noodles couldn't have predicted and definitely wasn't expecting.

I absolutely love Mitzy she's a little spitfire, A crazy chaotic computer genius. She's the messed up stressed out opposite of Noodles, but opposites attract and all that. They are perfect for each other.

I loved every minute of Mitzy and Noodles story. Their journey was unpredictable. It was funny, heart pounding and addictive. There's just the right amount of heat to set your pulse racing. Noodles knows how to play Mitzy like the perfect instrument. GAH!!! They are smoking Hott together.

If you've not read the Angels Fire series then get on it. These Rock Stars will get under your skin and leave a lasting impression. I'm really excited for the last book in the series, Spikes story. That's gonna be explosive. 👏

OMG --- This story --- EXCELLENT!!!! We were first introduced to Mitzie in the Changing Roles Series -- Ummm Interesting character. Logical, Analytical, a Geek, Talented -- and saved the day!!!! (no spoilers here --- just enough) We saw her again in the Captive Hearts Series --- Ummmmm We will see her again in the last Captive Hearts Series.. But that hasn't happened in the timeline yet... But she will be back!!!!!

Noodles, we met him in the Angel Fire Series (yes this is a hint to go read these first....) Zen, calm, quiet but of so delightful --- now it's his turn.

Somewhere in a conversation with Ellie Masters, I whispered Mitzie and Noodles.....Not sure if she planned this or listened to me --- doesn't matter --- this is the best match up!!!

Noodles (what a name) (My next book boy friend password right there) --- is so opposite of our feisty Mitzie. They work so well together. Each balancing the other out. I think Noodles gives more grounding to Mitzie and she needs him. But Mitzie wakens Noodles heart to his one and only after a lifetime of no meaningless hookups. She teaches him what it is to be with the one that completes you. And he grabs it with both hands!!!!

Excellent read. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. HIGHLY RECOMMEND you start with the beginning of the Rock Star - Angel Fire Series. You will not regret it!!!!

Keep up the great job Ellie!!!!!

One of my Favorite Series!!

I keep thinking it can’t get better, then it does!! The Angel Fire band has lots of personalities. As we’ve read through these stories all but two members of the band are married of in serious relationships.

Noodles plays keyboards (actually many instruments) for their performances, and is a gnarly surfer and Zen seeker in- between times. When one of Forests’ tech wizards Mitzy is caught by a “sneaker” wave, he is also a life-saver.

Mitzy is high-strung and working to save lives. Noodles can see the stress in her aura. He finagles a bet with her that forces her to meditate and find her center. He also discovers he no longer has any interest in the band groupies – just this one brilliant, driven, sexy pixie. Another hit song, and more immersion into this fascinating group of people. It’s like visiting friends you have not seen for a while. Brilliantly written and executed.

OMG Only Ellie could write a story like this, it really packs a punch and surprisingly tip toes around the hot sex you expect until a lot later in the book, when it explodes . This is Noodles and Misty's story, the 5th in the series. Quite how they didn't spontaniously combust at the first opportunity I just don't know. There's no slow burn with these guys, and I loved how Noodles struggled to hold himself back, not wanting to treat Misty as yet another groupie of the band, yet Misty taunts him, even encourages his fantasys. There's more of Forrest, who thinks Misty needs to be protected from Noodles, and the rest of the band. There are also delicious links into The Guardian series. I would definatly recommend reading the series in order, along side the Captive Hearts series to get the full benefit of Ellies writing. I can promise you, one book of Ellies and you will become an Ellie addict !!

Ellie has done it again. I fell in love with Mitzy and Noodles.
I so enjoy the opposites attract couples and this one gave me all the feels.
Noodles is a rock star since he hit the stage at 16 and yes it is a crazy sexy life but sometimes it gets overwhelming. He has played keyboard and many other instruments in the band. He is beyond talented but has a quirky calming Zen and a suburb surfing talent. He may have woman throwing themselves at him but it can really get old quick. He wants real and special
Mitzy is a computer and internet wiz . She is an independent young woman that is driven, brilliant, strong and so not a groupie.
When a swimming accident finds her in the arms of the handsome rocker their new friendship begins to blossom! This was a wonderful slow burn. Sweet, romantic, unexpected and a beautiful friendship .
Loved them !

I am generally not a rockstar romance reader but for Ellie Masters' Angel Fire series I happily made an exception. Every single book has been stellar and Hearts Entwined is certainly not an exception.

I adored Noodles. His laid-back, Zen, go with the flow demeanor was perfect. Mitzy, his little pixie, couldn't be more opposite if she tried. She's brash, intense, driven and as far from "chill" as she can get. Their relationship has an unexpected beginning especially since he'd been avoiding her like crazy. For Noodles sex is his drug of choice and he makes no apologies for it. But, now he finds that with Mitzy he wants so much more. He wants what his best friends have. Love and family. Convincing her of that maybe an uphill battle but he's up for it.

What a beautiful love story. Two of the unlikeliest people, one a rock star and one a brilliant computer specialist who don’t like each other come together in the most unlikely circumstances.  There is something about Noodles that made me as a reader feel the calm coming through Ellie Master’s words.  Yes he does yoga and meditation, neither of which appeal to me but his words have the effect he is trying to persuade Mitzi they will have on her busy mind.  They are drawn to each other like moths to flames and fall in love so quickly but of course there is a hiccup, but love overcomes and there is a lovely ending.

This is an amazing book. Mitzy is wrapped very tight and needs help shutting up her brain. Noodles is a very zen kind of guy. He can see auras and he is very in touch with his inner man. The two are going to clash! When Noodles rescues Mitzy from drowning (or being eaten by sharks!) he starts to feel a connection with her. He challenges her and Mitzy both wants to and does not want to respond. The 'respond' part of her wins and the two of them start a relationship, something Noodles has never done before. This is a well written story that really gets into the nitty gritty of both characters. Of course, there is mention of characters from previous books and I enjoyed the glimpses into their lives. I am eagerly awaiting the last story, Spike.

This is the fifth book in the Angel Fire series and it’s absolutely amazing! Noodles is a rockstar, loves the ladies, loves to surf, and yet he’s laid back and a zen type of guy. Mitzy is a computer nerd and works to save lives. When Noodles saves Mitzy’s life things take a turn. Noodles gives her a challenge, she reluctantly agrees, and they start a relationship. The connection and attraction between these two is intense! I loved watching both these characters navigate their relationship and they were so perfect together. This book was incredible from start to finish and I definitely recommend this book to any book lover.

Ellie Masters has brought us back to Insanity with the next Angel Fire story, Hearts Entwined. And what a beautiful love story it is with the crazy relationship of Noodles and Mitzy. Noodles is the surfer rockstar that all the women love while Mitzy is the computer guru that doesn't like the crowds. These two seem like exact opposites but in reality are two halves to the same whole that fit together perfectly and to watch them as they both learn this truth is fun and very sexy. This is a must read book in this series and can't wait for more from Angel Fire.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review. This is another amazing installment in the Angel Fire series. I was drawn into the story from the first page. Noodles goes out of his way to avoid Mitzi, but that's hard to do when she is living at Insanity with him and his band mates and and their wives and kids. Mitzi feels invisible and like she is intruding in the band's lives. All of that takes a startling and terrifying turn when Noodles saves Mitzi's life. Noodles is all about being chill and living in the moment. Mitzi doesn't believe in what she can't see, feel or touch. He just wants one month to change her perspective on things. She reluctantly agrees, and the sparks fly from there. Their road to their HEA is definitely not easy, but it's absolutely worth the journey to get there. Get this book ASAP. I promise you won't regret it. Sorry, no spoilers.

Little Pixie, that's Mitzy's name as Noodles see's her. It fits her and she doesn't fight it. From the first chapter you can see that Noodles is different than all the other guys, he even gives "a dissertation on wind and waves", which makes Mitzy really mad as she has now lost a bet and Noodles is collecting. It's the process of collecting that is widely entertaining for the reader. Mitzy is a tough nut to crack, but Noodles is up for the challenge. He's the one that wants to hold back, but when it comes time to dating, he's all in. He even say's "we're dating", and that throws Mitzy for a loop. "But I'm yours now, just as you're mine." I loved this story and it was a definite page turner, what could go wrong, well, one little misrepresented event, and it all explodes, standing up to Forest is cute too.

When the Angel Fire Series first started coming out, I fell in love with it. Ellie Masters always surprises me with her stories and how she brings the characters to life. If you love rockstars you will love this series. Noodles proves to be amazing, you can't help but love him even more with his own story being told. Mitzy is quite the opposite and you will love the back and forth they have and the chemistry they share is off the charts. Their adventure is a page turner and sucks you in from start to finish. Another great story from one of my favorite authors.

Noodles is not your typical rockstar, yes he likes the attention and the ladies, but underneath it all is a calm zen, yoga, meditating man. He’s one with nature, and he talks to sharks!

Mitzy is a computer nerd, she writes programs and helps find missing people. But one careless mistake leaves her fighting for her life and the only one around to save her is Noodles?

The attraction between the two is intense, but she is insecure and doesn’t believe he can change his ways. Afterall, she is a normal boring girl and he is a famous rockstar. Can the two make it work or will someone or something rip them apart?

I really enjoyed this book, it was more based on their relationship rather than tours and the band.

You got to love this couple, opposites attract but in such a nice way. Our rockstar Noodles is so calm, compared to our Mitzy who’s so colorful. You’ll love how he goes out to surf and talk to Joe. Which I love how Joe swam fast toward Noodles then went under him! Thought he was a goner! But you’ll love more the banter and chemistry between Mitzy and Noodles. He’s looking to change his stalemate situation. Can he find it with Mitzy! Can he even convince her he’s the one. The fun just begun! You must read this! I just love Ellie Master’s writing!

Noodles & Mitzy
Complete opposites, Noodles with his Rock God Personality, man-whore reputation, offstage surfer/hippie laidback attitude, and Mitzy with her super intellectual mind, gaming, coding and in your face and mouthy attitude. I would have never thought to put these two together, but apparently I’d be wrong, because they are absolutely positively perfect together. Sigh......

Another fabulous Angel Fire book!
Noodles is so laid back and zen, it was wonderful to go along for the ride!
Mitzy is quite high stung, with a brain that goes and goes when she gets an idea.
It was magical to see these two together, figuring out their path at each step. Learning how to unwind, and live in the moment. Letting walls come down, building bridges instead. Its the perfect mix.
Wonderful job Ellie Masters! 😊

Mitzy poses a challenge to Noodles due to her insecurities. Those same insecurities also pose a challenge to Mitzy to get out of her own way. I enjoyed Mitzy's snarky attitude. She and Noodles blend well. I was excited about Siren's Song and wished I could hear it!

The Angel Fire Rock Romance is one of my favorite series and I was so excited for Noodles story. His in-depth, mellow outlook was completely different than what I expected him to be. His insights and calm is perfect for Mitzy’s insecure and frazzled mentality. These two are sizzling and I loved watching them maneuver the unchartered waters for both of them. Not to mention catching up with the rest of the band and their significant others. If you haven’t read this series by now get on it because you don’t want to miss out!!

This story is a bout Mitzi and Noodles. I love them both. They both tug at my heart. Their story is one I enjoyed very much. Noodles is playing in a rock band and Mitzi is a firecracker and a computer nerd. Their friendship is an explosive one. Will they stay together? It is hot and and passionate.
