Love For Allah, by Shaykh Zulfiqar Ahmad, intimately explores the importance of having love for Allah (Glorious and Exalted is He), and the effects that love can have on the heart of a believer. Most importantly however, the book delves into how a person can develop a sincere love for their Creator. The remaining chapters of the book explore the signs that mark those believers that truly love Allah and the benefits that are reaped for that love. These themes are explored through the stories of the companions of the Prophet (May Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him) and the successive generations of righteous believers. Interspersed throughout the text are English translations of Arabic and Urdu poems, which highlight the concepts discussed.

One of the best and most inspiring of the books ever which surely moves your heart and open it immensely towards the love of Allah swt and it has been in ages that I read a book straight in one sitting! I love the writings of these respectable shaykhs and have always find great enlightenment and peace especially when they revisit the stories of Prohphets, Sahabas and other great muslim scholars.

Small volume but full of great depth. I meant to read this at a slow pace, in order to really reflect... ended up finishing it in one sitting. Every word speaks directly to the heart, you do feel the love unfolding inside. I thoroughly enjoyed the author's anecdotes, stories, and bits of poetry related to each point; and greatly appreciated the list of supplications at the end. A book that I will definitely try to read on a regular basis.

This book will make your heart light and then heavy. It will make tears run from your eyes with joy and sadness. For someone who reads it with longing for love for the divine, this book is an emotional roller coaster. It being very short is an incentive also as it's not a burden to read and pushes the reader into action.

A beautiful book that introduces a dimension that we are not too accustomed to, into our relationship with God. My only issue was that I expected (and preferred) a greater focus on how to strive for attaining love for the Beloved instead of simply explaining what it means to have love for Him.
