Scott was doing well and things were rolling along. Humanity had never flourished so well, and there were endless possibilities ahead of them. There’s a few internal politics to deal with, as well as the races living in the protected territory, as his build site is compromised bringing up questions. It seems humanity’s time of cooperation may be nearing an end as well, though thankfully war seemed unlikely.
There were endless threats as well, along a new and astonishing path of exploration. More than he ever imagined, thanks to Melody’s latest breakthrough.
That and more will take Scott’s focus, if humanity is to survive.
Author’s note: This is primarily a space opera. The fantasy elements of the book are tangential at best, and I don’t believe that will change through the rest of the series. Oh, there’s mages, shifters, witches, and vampires in these pages, but that’s really not the focus.
I've been an avid book reader since I was a teenager in the 1980's. My preferred genre's are science fiction and fantasy.
I wrote some short stories and was encouraged to try writing and self publishing by some friends. I work in computers and writing is an obsessive hobby I have been trying to hone for a couple of years now. I'll let you judge if I have succeeded or not.
This has always been an over-the-top space opera, with Trillions of ships and technology advancing at unbelievable rates, but it is also fun. I enjoyed the beginning of this book, but I think the Multiple Universes was a step too far for me, the story just went way beyond over-the-top. There were still a few fun moments and the series ended quite well, but it wasn’t one of my favourites. If possible I would have given 2.5 stars.
A bit slow with too much boring, useless, everyday stuff, but still an enjoyable read. The political stuff is every bit as stupid as the current worldwide circumstances, but the whole doing nothing while whole species are exterminated because it's not our problem seems to be finally over. Frankly I found that one of the stupidest, responsibility avoiding things ever and it was the one thing I truly hated about the previous books .
Decent book in a fun series but I think it's reached it's Maximum potential. The numbers are getting ridiculous and thank god you don't have to put zeros On the page or the books would be nothing but numbers.Earth is still full of idiots. That much will never change. Countries vine for political power instead of unifying and face of the universe of Predators.I have enjoyed this series but I'm not sure anymore should be written in it.
An enjoyable end to the series, but is clear the author has come to the end with the main character. Everything for him was getting to easy and what threats come are quickly dealt with. Would possibly enjoy more stories from the same universe if new ideas can be introduced.
It's been quite a long and bumpy road for Scot Akin, but in the end he is happy, his family is safe, his galaxy is ok, his universe is secured, and the neighboring universes flourish. What more could a man need?
This is a great series, and I wish it wasn't over. I liked how the author did his best to wrap everything up, and I genuinely hope he comes back to the universe someday.
Good read! The biggest with are with other people wanting to "leave a legacy" and wizz in the soup to do it. America had a problem like that prior to WW 2 , when a meddling colonel wanted to leave a legacy and almost crippled our main battle rifle.
I’m sad that this part of the series is over this book had great space battles and intrigue between governments. Also you continue to see his growth and his family’s. Enjoy!
Sad for it all to end. Loved the universe... multiverse in the book series. Relationships were great. I hope there is a spin off with more magic in space!
