Series keeps getting better and better!
I loved the first book, and I didnt know I could, but I loved this one even more. Can't wait for the next one!

4.5 stars…and it just keeps getting better!
Gwyneira once again binds us in one of her story-spells with Victoria and her men at Wildeward. The plot deepens, the characters become more complex, and the world of Wildeward continue to enchants the reader. I loved meeting each of these characters in the first book, and as Victoria is immersed further in the world of magic, discovering new (and perhaps scary) things about herself, we also get to see how each of the guys step up to the plate (or maybe run scared with their tails between their legs…*ahem* ). This isn’t one of those “wham-bam” harem books. Nor is it a formulaic academy-style plot. No. Blythe goes above and beyond, keeping us guessing and driving us deeper into these relationships that (in spite of their magical nature) also feel very organic. I appreciate that Victoria is allowed to be complex—at times confused, angry, surly, or wanting to be alone. She is allowed to be horny (hello, this is a romance), brave in the face of trials (which she at times also fails), but she isn’t stupid in her risk-taking behavior. Rather, she’s confident, assessing, and moves forward with faith in herself to overcome. It’s so damned refreshing.
Bravo on this fabulous series, which I cannot wait to finish! A true gem in the RH genre.

Book two was just as good as book one but had much more going on as Victoria gains more knowledge of her magic and it’s capabilities and her harem grows in strength within her and amongst themselves. I could not put this book down! The combo of romance, sexy times, action, mystery and humour is THE best, and I cannot believe that this is really Gwyn’s only second book ? Crazy talent 👏🏻
My spoiler above does not contain plot giveaways but I talk about one of my favourite characters that came more to light in book two. I really am loving this story and am heading straight into book three👍🏻.

Ice Cold Moon is the second book in the Wildeward Academy series and we continue with Victoria's story, although I would recommend reading it as a series due to the overall story arc. Oh my, where to start?
Okay, the first thing I will say is how much I LOVE that Victoria's coterie are taking it slow. Now, I know you're probably shaking your heads but this is a SERIES and the courting, the taking time to get know each other? I love it. And that also means that when steamy times do happen, I love them even more!
Right then, so onto the story. There is a new kid in town who appears to be nice and friendly but also looks like he could be trouble with a capital T. Nik Frost certainly has his own agenda and links, it seems, with our very own Doyle. I said in my last review that I wanted to know more about Doyle's past and Gwyneira Blythe certainly delivered. I also love how Victoria is not a know-it-all and, instead, is wary of her own powers. She is growing in strength but still careful. Love it!
Having the Wild Hunt turn up was the cherry on the icing on the cake for me. So many aspects I am loving about this book and I really, REALLY, can't wait for the next one. Unfortunately, it appears I have to wait until Spring for that. 😭 Oh well, trust me when I say I will be waiting very patiently! 😉
A fantastic addition to the series and definitely recommended by me.

A lot steamier than the first book. It's exam time at Wildeward, and there is a new student to contend with in addition to figuring out their bonds. I couldn't put it down!

Heating Up, But I want More Spice
Book 1 did a lot of world building and character development that made going into book 2 much more enjoyable. While book 1 was a little low on my spice level, book 2 did deliver more, but not as much as I was hoping. I mean she has five men... I expect at least five types of scenes to be written, plus some extras.

Solid 5 stars from me, I liked book 2 better than the first one. One, I felt that Frost as a villain in this one had more nuance than Mr Skelton in book 1. Still evil but not 2D.
Two, it helps that Doyle and Frost in this book together reminded me of Merry Gentry's men from Laurell Hamilton's A Kiss of Shadows, especially Doyle. Before I discovered that there was an entire genre of RH out there, I would read one or both of LHK's most popular series at least once a year. (Frost's personalities in comparing both series is not at all similar, but if you've read the Merry Gentry series and also read this 2nd book by Gwyneira please let me know if you see it 🙂)
I liked how Victoria finally claimed Doyle. Only took 2 books for her to claim one of her 5 men lol. I'm rooting for Frankie. I hope he gets out of the evil doctor's clutches. I'm rooting for Gemma and Evetta. I'm curious about the rider in Victoria's head, and also about what it takes to bring Achoris back. I'm already over the evil stepmother trope, and Gwyneira hasn't even really started on it.
I'm excited to read book 3 in the series to see what's next!
At the time of my rating, this book has 60 ratings i.e. under 100 ratings so it's getting tagged to the RHR reading challenge 🙂

Interesting developments: new characters!
This book picks up about a month later than where book 1 ended. We meet a new potential love interest, get a lot more secrets, learn more about the deeper threat agains Victoria, and can see the potential trouble we will need to overcome in book 3. My only slightly SPOLIER-like complaint after finishing this installment (and it could no longer be a complaint depending on later books) is the relationship progress only seemed to evolve around Doyle. Granted some of this is plot related and we did still grow closer and have issues come up with the others, but Doyle seems to be the one that real true progress happened with. I just want the relationship development good all around, so this "complaint" will disappear if this is addressed in future books. So, we shall see! I'm definitely committed and excited for the next one!

Un libro incredibilmente noioso, non succede niente, non c'è uno straccio di trama, è solo lo scorrere delle giornate in un accademia magica.
Tra l'altro i famigli/compagni di Victoria sono inutili in maniera imbarazzante, i licantropi sono sempre a limite della trasformazione e quindi spesso indisponibili.
L'oracolo sta sempre a dormire, non scherzo, dorme sempre e quindi anche lui indisponibile.
Frankye, che non so ancora che razza è, è sempre impegnato in infermeria o a fare da cavia agli studenti o a farsi torturare dallo scienziato pazzo, ed è se è possibile il più indisponibile di tutti.
E poi abbiamo il vampiro, che da una parte è quello forse più presente, ma dall'altra non vuole far parte di questo harem.
Non voglio neanche parlare di tutto quello che ruota attorno alle mestruazioni della protagonista.

Pretty similar feelings to this as with the first book—leans on some tropes but the characters are strong and the mysteries genuinely intriguing. I didn't much care for Nik's character or role in the story, though (I found him a bit inconsistent). There's also some of the magical jargon thrown around without much actual explanation of what they mean in this world and/or its context. Regardless, the ending definitely piqued my interest, so here's to the next one!

This is book 2 of the Wildeward Academy series. I really loved the storyline and characters. The story kept me engaged throughout. I loved the book cover and thought it was very appealing. I would recommend reading.

Ice Cold Moon by Gwyneira Blythe is an awesome story to read. This is book number two in this awesome series that I have loved reading since book number one. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about witches, historical and paranormal romance.

What a convoluted mess her relationships are. You think you're catching a break and grasp on things only to get smacked with something out of left field. Such world building, the likes of Diana Gabaldon, Sherrilyn Kenyon and Auryn Hadley this author brings this world to life! Absolutely love it!

Loved it as much as book 1
Victoria and coterie are quite intriguing, I am waiting with barely contained excitement for book 3. I highly recommend this series.
