Understanding Dreams

Rate this book
Here is Jung’s own method of dream interpretation. Mary Ann Mattoon, the distinguished Minnesota psychoanalyst, gives a clear presentation of this method. She draws on her own practice as well as the theories of analytical psychology to discuss individual and archtypal amplification in dreamwork. Clear, concise, comprehensive, intelligent—the best of its kind.

Years ago, this book was recommended to me by a therapist, who said it was the best overview of Jungian dream psychology he'd ever read. Well...I must admit the book was a bit of a slough for me. So maybe it's not for the general reader interested in Jung. Nonetheless, I think I'd buy it again as a general reference.
