4.5 stars - Patiently I waited for this book and it was everything I expected it to be. Brilliant! It's devastating, heartbreaking, and hopeful. Oh the feels (and the skeletons), they have come out to play and they don't always make nice. Lola and Anthony are fighting an uphill battle as they navigate their future and reconcile their pasts. 💙🔥
UPDATED 3/2021: (My updates added yesterday disappeared so I am trying again. 😢 )
We're gonna make that 5 full stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
It's been awhile between installments to this series so I decided to go back to Lola and Ant before picking up Provoke. I'm so glad I did as I really LOVE these two! It didn't matter that I'd already read it, I couldn't put it down! The heat, the drama, the romance, and, at the end of the day, the playfulness. Welcome to the land of crazy town where up is down and down spins you all around! I 💙 every moment!
B.A.D is back and the Bait is ready to be snapped up. If you like strong alpha males with a naughty side you’ll love this series.
Ant has a daughter and he intends to find her. He also has a new assistant who’s about her age. When playing house his guy likes to do it his own way. Can he overcome his demons, save the girl and reel in his daughter?
There are a few twists to this book and it isn’t for the faint hearted. It’s gritty and does cover some trigger topics.
This is the story of finding your way back to the light even if it’s not everyone’s kind of paradise.
*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
These books by these authors in this series B.A.D. Inc Series #3 is absolutely fantastic and I've really enjoyed reading them and this book really knocks it out of the park. This book is a dark/ bully romance read that I couldn't put down for even one minute its totally captivating, powerful read and I was gripped throughout.
Lola has and still is going through so much and my heart ached for her and I really felt for everything that she's going though. She has endured so much in her life and so much trauma that your heart will break for her. Ant is a man that is very particular and likes everything done in a very specific way. He is always trying to protect the people he loves for any pain. He himself is also going through so much and in his mind he is struggling too with things from his past that have hurt him tremendously. Can these two people help and heal each other?
This book will really have your emotions on a real roller coaster and the way that these authors talked about the mental health side of things, was awesome they researched that great, they both highlighted this subject especially how it needs to be to make more people award of it and its impact on you. They way that this story flows is fantastic and these characters, oh my were fantastic like they all are in this series. I was rooting for them completely and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. The journey they go on is full of ups and downs and its one that you wont want to miss. I highly recommend this book and these series its awesome.
Oh how I love being in the world of B.A.D. Inc! These characters and stories are so strong and have so much meaning to them! Tracy Lorraine and Angel Devlin always does a fantastic job on creating these books for this series.
This book was captivating and a true page turner! I honestly loved every second of it. I had such a hard time putting it down. The story takes you on an emotional journey of two peoples difficult pasts. What really is the kicker is if they can be together for happiness or if its just to mask the pain they both hold deep down.
Ant has had such a difficult past since he was a little boy. He never speaks on his past and is the one that tries to protect everyone else. I absolutely was swooning over his character. He has definitely been my favorite hero in the B.A.D. Inc series, so far. Lola has not had an easy life either. She has endured a lot with her family and it still isn't finished. The connection between the two are like two puzzle pieces fitting perfectly together. Them together is steamy! I loved seeing these two go on a crazy rollercoaster of all types of emotions.
This book is a definite must read. Such a powerful and impactful story that I think everyone should read. I highly recommend this book. I can't wait for more of this world! I'm excited to see where the other characters go on their journeys.
Bait is the third book in the B.A.D. Inc series by Tracy Lorraine and Angel Devlin, full of secrets and twists which keep you guessing all the way through. It’s an older man, boss romance between Ant, the accountant of B.A.D. Inc and Lola, an accounts intern, who is also Anna’s younger sister. After Ride’s ending, I was so ready for Ant’s story, not only to see more from this group, but to get to know more about the most elusive member of the group. Bait picks up exactly where Ride leaves off, and I feel like this review is going to be super vague because I don’t want to give anything away.
Anthony Warren is the most secretive of the B.A.D. Inc group, keeping his darkest secrets buried deep even with his friends. But nothing could’ve prepared him for his daughter Ellie to waltz into his office one morning, or for Lola, the woman he rescued from a traumatic experience to witness the whole thing. Ellie flees, and Ant is desperate to find her, but also try and keep his past a secret, and so needs a way to channel his pain, and so uses his attraction for Lola as his way to escape. Lola is barely holding it together after the events in Ride, putting a brave face on but underneath she is spiralling. She has many outlets for her pain, but nothing compares to the way that Ant makes her feel. He became a safe space when he rescued her, and he helps her forget. But both of them are broken, so when the truth comes out about Ant’s past, and Ellie’s, it brings back memories for Lola. Will they ever be able to help each other heal, or were doomed from the start?
Bait was such a difficult read at points, my heart broke for both of these characters, but especially Ant. The abuse from such a young age was sickening, but I admired how he overcame it and made a family with his friends. He was so against anything happening with Lola, because he didn’t want to break her any more than she was, but in the end, they became each other’s lifeline. Lola was so worried about people finding out her secret, she used whatever she could to forget. But I think the fact that she was so broken helped her keep strong with Ant and Ellie, because she could be their support system without worrying about herself. Ant and Lola’s chemistry was there, but their relationship felt very rushed, and I didn’t feel any build up of a connection. The initial attraction came out of nowhere, it wasn’t really even hinted at, and then all of a sudden, they were using each other. I think they worked because their broken pieces fit each other’s and they needed each other to calm their own personal storm, but I wish there had been more of a build up to a connection.
Overall, I did enjoy Bait, the suspense, twists and turns made it a page turner. I love Tracy and Angel’s writing, but I think the thing that kept me hooked was the plot, not necessarily Ant and Lola’s relationship. Oh, and Ellie, who I had slight reservations for her motives initially but in the end, I was backing her all the way. This series keeps making me want more and I can’t wait to see what’s next from the B.A.D. Inc group!

'Bait' is the Third book of the B.A.D. Inc series by Tracy Lorraine. Told in dual perspectives , Ant and Lola were on Fire!!
I have been waiting for Ant's story for so long! This book was everything I anticipated and much much more. Tracy Lorraine pretty much has me wrapped around her fingers and I can't help but love everything she writes. It's simply phenomenal.
Lola was such a sweet character that this author has written. She is so innocent and awesome that I couldn't help but want to go and hug her. She was the perfect match for Ant who was a broody dominant man and wanted things done in a specific manner. Lola was now his assistant and he couldn't help but desire her. But there were a lot of issues he had to solve first.
This book was a crossover between a bully romance and a dark Romance. I loved it so much and can't wait for more! It was a standalone , but my advice is that you read the other books of this series before for maximum enjoyment.a definite recommendation to all the dark Romance lovers out there who love themes like secret baby and office Romance!
There is so much I want to say about this incredible story but won’t, simply because I want you to go into this story blind and discover everything that happens for yourself. If you have read the previous two books in this series (and I seriously hope you have) then you will be expecting a story that is worthy of a five-star rating, and I can assure you that after reading Bait you won’t be left disappointed.
I read this book in one day because I simply could not put my kindle down! Bait is Ant’s story and as you will already know he is shielding his family at B.A.D. Inc. from a past that haunts him. I must admit that it absolutely broke my heart when what he endured in his youth was revealed.
We’ve already met Lola in Ride, which is book two in this series, and sadly she also has experienced much trauma in her young life. These two broken souls I felt were so perfect for each other but I feared that this was all for the wrong reasons. Their journey will have you feeling every emotion and desperate for them to lay their ghosts to rest to enable them both to be happy. I am certain that like me, you’ll feel the same way for those who are close to this couple too.
I absolutely love everyone at B.A.D. Inc. and I am hoping that this isn’t the last that we see of them. Together they are family and there is nothing that they wouldn’t do for each other. There is something about these guys that sees me handing over my heart to the protagonist in each and every book, and I can guarantee that I won’t be the only reader who experiences this.
The B.A.D. Inc. series continues to be compulsive reading. Angel Devlin and Tracy Lorraine are creating stories that I highly recommend for you to read. Bait is a gripping and emotional story that I absolutely loved reading, and I am certain that you will too.
I'll admit in both Torment and Ride I struggled through the first half of each book and ended up rating both of them 4 stars.
But Bait? Bait is a solid 5 star read and so far my FAVORITE in the series.
Holy shit, y'all.
Bait by Angel Devlin and Tracy Lorraine is everything I love in a dark romance. Both Ant and Lola were broken souls with traumatic pasts. Ant liked to punish and Lola liked to be punished. And that was pure sexiness.
This story was a mixture of age-gap, office romance, and dark romance. So many truths were flying around, so much heartbreak, so much angst that my heart ached throughout most of this book. I connected so deeply with Lola's pain and how she tried to block it out. As we learned about Ant's past I could understand his choices and emotions. While they both thought coming together was wrong and toxic, they didn't realize that they were each exactly what the other needed.
This story is one to remember. It was so heartwrenching but so beautiful at its completion. It was heavy on mental illness, but it also stressed the importance and benefits of seeking help...which so many authors don't tend to write about. I was swept up in this tragically beautiful and addicting love story.
Oh, and did I mention how much I love Deacon and Tyler now? Watching how they soften, but remain the same B.A.D. guys is so fulfilling.
ARC provided to me in exchange for an honest review.
I absolutely loved Lola and Ant’s story. It’s so much darker than the first two and I am always here for that. :) These two characters have some major things happen to each that they have to figure out how to cope with (or not cope with) and their journey through that was absolutely beautiful. I loved it so much!! It’s hard to pick a favorite, but this may be my favorite of the series so far.
I received an advanced copy of the ebook and am voluntarily leaving a review. My opinions are my own.
B.A.D. Inc. is back and this time it‘s not for the lighthearted!
Bait picks up a couple of weeks after the events of Ride. Lola starts her new job as an intern in Ant‘s department. Her slight crush on Ant turns into something much bigger on her first day! This story is very fast paced. You won‘t get a break and you honestly wouldn‘t want one! I read this book in one go because it was fantastically written and the story of both characters just gripped me so hard.
Both of their pasts have come back to haunt them but they try and make the best of it. It deals alot with childhoodtrauma and mental health. The way those two authors portrayed the mental health side of the books was really good and very interesting. It shows us that even tge strongest person on the outside needs a little help.
Even though this book is a much bigger age gap than I would like to read I honestly enjoyed it alot and due to all those events happening I forgot about the age gap most of the time.
If you have read the previous two B.A.D. books (which I highly recommend that you do, these are standalones but they are all a bit connected in a way so you may miss out if you don’t start with Torment), then you know that Lola recently endured a traumatic experience and she refuses to talk about. In an effort to get her out of her shell, her sister gets her a job interview at B.A.D., Inc. in the accounting department. Anthony aka Ant is the man that rescued her, who she has a crush on and will also be her new boss. Ant has certain darker tastes and always felt that only older women did it for him. Now that his life has been flipped upside down he finds that he can’t keep Lola off his mind or his hands off her. But what happens when their pasts and demons won’t let them be?
So far this is the darkest of the three B.A.D. books. Both Ant and Lola have been through some horrific things that most people can’t cope with. They each have their own coping mechanisms and neither one are entirely healthy. With both of them having mental health issues that they weren’t addressing properly it was bound to blow up on their faces. And boy did it ever. I loved Ant and Lola’s journey. Like I said it is darker, so it isn’t a pretty one, but it is definitely a good one. And while addressing some truly tough topics there was still some heart-warming moments between these two. I think my favorite thing about this book was that their salvation didn’t come from being each other, that the both realized that they needed to take steps to make themselves whole so they could truly be together. Such a tragically beautiful story. Loved it so much. My only gripe is in the first two books we got a taste of what the next book would be. I feel deprived that I didn’t get that this time. I have my theories though. Highly recommend this book and this series.
I would be remiss if I didn't say that this one may also contain triggers for some.
The words use and overall review shouldn’t reflect personally on the author or any other of her series and books.
Twisted, Emotional and steamy 3.5 stars
Lola and Ant reel you in right away. This story isn’t for the faint hearted. In this book you will read the story of Lola, one that wasn’t a fairy tale. Ant has always been this man that wasn’t easy to deal with. But two girls broke the barrier and enter his heart, Lola and his daughter. A book of Broken souls that will heal each other. The author did a good job taking us in this journey. If you love action, taboo topics (be warned), steamy scenes and a book that will move your emotions this book is for you.
B.A.D is back and better than ever, I was completely captivated by this story from page one, I couldn't put it down and I can't stop thinking about this book.
An age gap/forbidden/ dark romance between two broken souls. Ant and Lola's chemistry is consuming, intense and delicious. Pure fire in every page.
Holy smokes Ant stole my heart!!! He is a total alpha with a very dark past, he's strong and successful but with so much weight over his shoulders, when he finds out about his daughter his past comes crashing back and the only person who seems to bring him afloat is Lola.
Lola in the other hand is completely broken, she carries so much guilty inside of her and she wants to be punish for this.
Ant and Lola's story will bring so many emotions, things won't be simply and they will have to fight for what they want. Two broken souls healing each other , What's more beautiful than that?
p.s: you also get to catch up on some of the amazing characters in the BAD series.
Lola has been through a terrible time and is looking for a new start. A friend gets her a job at BAD and her boss is none other than Anthony. Anthony "Ant" rescued Lola from a horrible life and she's always had a crush on him. Ant has been through a terrible time as well and thinks only older women can satisfy his kinky desires. The couple have chemistry and it's unavoidable that they end up together. Can they deal with their demons? Will it keep them apart or help them come together?
This is book 3 in the bad inc series, and the eagerly awaited turn for ant.
I got straight into this book when I started reading it and absolutely loved it. The story between Lola and ant is amazing, it has you gripped and their are so many different twists and turns in this book I did not see coming, but certainly don’t diss a point.
This book is well worth reading and I cant wait for the next in the series.
Thank you to both of the authors for my gifted copy of this arc in exchange for my honest review.
Ant's past is coming back to haunt him. In the form of the daughter, Ellie, he never knew he had, born from a mother who is the person he hates the most in this world for the terrible things she did to him.
Lola is struggling to come back from her own past, one in which Ant had a hand in saving her from. While she is young and a virgin, he is older and has only ever had a taste for older women. But the two cannot manage to stay away from each other. He sees the strength of hers just below the surface, which she can't see yet and she sees him as a safe place for her, though he is anything but...
The two maneuver an incredibly rocky terrain to find happiness, but can they find it in each other? Can they help one another break free from the terrible lives they once lived?
I was so excited to read Ant and Lola’s story and it was worth the wait! Tracy Lorraine and Angel Devlin did an amazing job writing this book. Ant has been through so much that no one has any idea about. His B.A.D. Inc family knows he had a rough past but no one knows the details of what happened until everything comes to halt when his daughter comes walking into his office. Lola has been kidnapped by her own father and was made to do things that she has no idea how to deal with and has no plans to tell anyone about it. They both have to learn to face there past before they can move forward.
His hand trails up the side of my cheek and he whispers. “What did they do to you, little Pandora?”I shake my head. “No. That’s not up for discussion. I’ll never say the words.” “Secrets burn you up inside.” Ant tells me. “I know because my heart is ash.”
You do not want to miss this series it is amazing!
I have received a free copy of this book for an honest review.
Absolutely loved this series..I devoured it in a week. I loved all the characters - the way they would do anything for each other, how they've all suffered in some way in their past but fight through their history to successfully make their way in their business. I love the style of the story telling and the serious amount of heat in all of them. I haven't written separate reviews as i was so eager to get onto the next in the series that they are all one story to me now.
"We're a match made in Hell, Lola." "All I'm asking is for someone to meet me in Hell and let me rest there a while, before it consumes me."
I could NOT put this book down! This is the ultimate page turner from start to finish. Ant and Lola have some insane chemistry. Bait reels you in hook line and sinker! I also really enjoyed seeing Anna, from Ride in this story. It was wonderful to get a little more of her story and see what is happening with her and her own B.A.D. guy. Lola and Ant both have demons to deal with, which makes them perfect for each other. They are possibly the most real of any couple in the series just yet. A pair of broken, messed up, super twisted histories that mesh together. I find that much more believable and true to real life than some perfect never had any issues pair that overcomes a minor drama and then live happily ever after. Lola and Ant are a work in progress, as are we all. They are perfectly imperfect and I wouldn't have their story told any other way!
Can two shattered and damaged souls come together and find a way to become whole again and heal?
He has deep dark secrets about his youth, even his best friends have no idea what he endured and now those secrets are coming to light and his whole life is about to explode. He is ruined for relationships and trusts very few women. He discovers a huge secret and will go to any length to find out if it’s true. If it is, he has a lot to make up for and is determined to do it. He needs the two young women in his life that he has found as they complete his life and make him want to continue on.
She was betrayed by someone that should have protected her, but her life has been a mess for a while now and after she was kidnapped and made to witness something devastating and find out that there are secrets in her family, she is discovering that she has a dark side and a need to be reckless. If she doesn’t come clean about her experience it could destroy her from the inside out and she will shatter, and no one will be able to put her back together.
This story was dark, twisted, deep and steamy. The characters are powerful, dark and loyal to each other. They don’t worry too much about others around them outside of their circle, but those in their circle are tight and will do anything for each other. This story was deep and dark, but it was a story of two people that found their puzzle piece to help them heal and feel whole again. I give it a 5-star review and look forward to more in the B.A.D Inc Series. These characters may have struggled in their youths, but they have found their place in the world and won’t let anyone get in their way of living their lives to the fullest, while taking no prisoners.
Anthony and Lola are damaged souls, traumatized by their upbringing and unable to discuss it with anyone. When Lola faced her darkest hour of her young life, Anthony (Ant) was there to save her. Ant had a horrific upbringing in a home with a mother who can't possibly be in her right mind. They are brought together again by Lola's sister, who is married to one of Ant's best friends and co-owners of B.A.D, a men's magazine. Lola interviews for a position as an intern for the accounts department and will be working directly with Anthony Warren. She is sure that she can trust him since he's the man who rescued her. But Lola is hiding her secrets and, when the darkness and nightmares close in on her, she does what she needs to do in order to feel alive. She knows that cutting isn't the answer and that she needs help. Ant is being harassed by the woman who raised and abused him and was sent to prison for her crimes. She's back, attempting to blackmail him, and gives him the news that he has a daughter. How is that even possible when he's 33 and she's 18? His secrets are soon to surface and it terrifies him. Ellie has her own demons and she doesn't want to be pinned down by anybody, including her father. She continues to run each time he tracks her down, but Lola gains her trust when something tragic happens and, for the first time in her life, Ellie learns to trust. This is a story of dark lives that see a light at the end of the tunnel, but it takes hard work, unimaginable choices and the purging of shocking secrets. Family isn't just blood relatives, it's also the friends who have been with and supported you for decades. This is a tale of redemption, trust and love. Remarkable!
When the authors were advertising this new series, I wasn’t too sure about it. I thought it might be a bit too ‘bad-boyish’ for my liking. The first book in the series was a bit like that but then book two, and now this one has gone to a completely different level of darkness. And I like it! The story is really gritty, well thought out and runs from book to book. This book picks up where the second left off following characters that we had only met on the periphery but were integral to the story. They are now getting a tale all of their own. We get to find out what really happened and why they are so broken. Everything that happens makes sense, they are both so damaged, and this manifests itself in how they treat each other. They aren’t just dominating one another for the sake of it; there is a darker reason behind it all. This was fantastically carried out. I believe this book comes with a bit of a warning because of the dark matter and subjects that it touches on. Even though it was quite hard-hitting, it wasn’t in an overly uncomfortable way. The authors have really done the topics justice. I liked as well that this book wasn’t excessively long, at only 260 pages it felt like the perfect length. It really helps you feel enthralled by everything going on as it needs to be fast-paced and hard-hitting rather than being spread over a longer length book. So, basically, everything about this book was perfect, and much to my delight there wasn’t an overly cheesy ending. I’m looking forward to the next in the series, will it be Oliver’s or Jack’s story next?

I literally CANNOT get enough of these guys from B.A.D Inc!!! These two authors are just taking no prisons with these books and Bait is yet another example of their genius and the absolute magic and power they can wield with words.
Now anyone who knows me is fully aware how much I love the dark reads and especially those with the broken alpha male with some serious naughtiness lurking... The smile I'm sporting right now is huge, dirty and wishing I had more to read haha. I honestly didn't think anyone could beat Tyler to first position but then in came Ant and now they are fighting for first place in my head hahahaha.
Ant and Lola have both had unspeakably horrifying pasts and it definitely shapes them into who they are but however broken they are individually it seems that all their broken pieces separately create the unease and turmoil they both experience inside but yet when they place each others broken pieces together it blazes with something fierce and undeniable. A love forged by a broken strength neither realise they have. Its a beautifully dark read that is powerful and holds a lot of meaning behind the words.
I would strongly recommend this book to everyone. I cannot wait to see what these ladies bring next!
So from reading the other books, Ant was always the mystery. We knew he liked older women, didn't date and had a screwed childhood but man it was so much worse then I thought! Ant was thrown into something that nobody should ever have to experience yet I'm sure it happens more then you think about it. When I saw the characters in this book, I was unsure about how this was going to play out but by the end, I was more then ok with it. Lola was Anna's little sister and if you've read book 2 then you know she went thru something traumatic and has yet to talk about it with anyone.. With Ant being her hero, it was no surprise that there was a bond between them. It started with a job that she was given by her sister but it was more then that. These two broken souls were able to move on from the past and love again for real. There are a lot of twists and turns in this book, dark moments where you just shake your head and can't believe someone would be that evil and do that to a child. I'm so glad we got to know Ant better and find out what really happened with Lola was taken. There's a lot of darkness in this book by the end light is let in and it is beautiful. This is my favorite of the books!

This is the third book in the series and by far it’s my favourite of all. Both have secrets that they hold from everyone which continues to eat at them. When Lola lays her eyes on Ant after being kidnapped she wants to know more about her savior.
Lola is giving an opportunity to get her life in order as an intern at BAD Inc. She is willing to be around the man that she can’t get out of her mind and the only person that makes her feel and forget.
Her boss ends up being her light in the darkness and my god you feel the sexual tension between them. Even though Ant shows this dark side to everyone around him Lola sees another side. I felt every sort of emotion reading this book it had me wanting more about what made them tick. There are tiggers so he advised that this might not be for everyone but i loved how raw these two were and how helpful they were to each other. Revelations are made and it had me in complete and utter shock. This book had everything you need in a dark romance. I fanned myself a lot, I cried and then I smiled, it was literally an emotional rollercoaster with unexpected turns and twists you don’t know what to expect and I loved that.
oh boy i cannot rate these stories less than 5 plus ...phew this is anthony and lola and ooh la la they are both so dysfuntional but bring the best out of each other another bad bad boy but a hunk she gets kidnapped by her bad father and kills a man for him turns out the man mark was annas father and may hav e been hers.....ant rescues her and carries her to jacks...another partner in their company..(female) just as nuts as the boys ......lola can't get ant out of her mind but they both are crazed with violent tendencies and do the crazy shit together.....anthony was abused when he was a kid by a foster mother much older than him...she gets pregnant and has a baby...her name is sharon she does not want baby and starves her ant is only 16 he fleas from her with baby and both go into the system yrs later a girl says ant is her father meanwhile sharon is trying to get money out of him....alot of suspence going on keeps you on the edge of your seat but boy o boy you cannot imagine what happens...you have to read to find out it is chilling but you will love every minute you read......
This series is so amazing that I simply cannot get enough of it. Ant has quite the past, which explains why he is the way he is, and frankly, I really wanted to hug him. My heart broke for Lola, who has gone through & is going through so much, so I desperately needed to hug her. Despite these two being individually broken, somehow they can't seem to stay away from each other so maybe just maybe them being together is just what the doctor ordered. There's so much chemistry it's insane as it shoots sparks everywhere including . However, in order to actually put something serious together, they have to reveal the pasts that are trying to hold them back but will they?! This story was such an emotional roller coaster ride that I'm still not over it. The metal health issues that this dream team wrote about had it feeling so realistic which only added to the emotional chaos I had going on. I hope these two never stop writing together as I'll NEVER EVER get enough of them, and neither will you after you hit those one click buttons! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
