Excellent Western
A real page turner. Lots of action and great character development. I truly enjoyed this novel, and look forward to others by Alfred Dennis. I highly recommend this Western.

Great book.
Reed Sliced was sent to find his Uncle in Colorado to lead the cattle to market. After meeting his uncle he convinced him to help save the ranch.

Reeds quest
I liked the characters, the plot and the fast pace of the story. Hope for a sequel and to see how this family grows and intermingles.

One of the best
I have read hundreds of westerns by many great writers but this story was one of the very best of them all.

Another good western by Alfred Dennis. When his uncle is about to lose their ranch Reed Slocum has to ride from Texas to Colorado to find the uncle he didn't know he had. He has to convince the uncle to take a herd to Sedalia Missouri to sell to save the ranch. Believe me a lot of things happened in between. Great book.
