An exciting western full of action, adventure, and romance set in the early American West. A young man is challenged and tested not only to save the family ranch but also to save a young woman from the dreaded Comancheros.
Reed Slocum’s uncle, Wes Slocum, had been severely hurt putting the upcoming cattle drive to Sedalia in jeopardy. The future of their ranch depends on the drive. Wes sends Reed to find his brother Watt Slocum.
Follow Reed on his journey where miles of prairie, the Llano Estacado, snakes, killers, Comanches, and Comancheros wait out there for the young Slocum. Will the young man have the nerve and ability to get the job done?

A real page turner. Lots of action and great character development. I truly enjoyed this novel, and look forward to others by Alfred Dennis. I highly recommend this Western.
Another good western by Alfred Dennis. When his uncle is about to lose their ranch Reed Slocum has to ride from Texas to Colorado to find the uncle he didn't know he had. He has to convince the uncle to take a herd to Sedalia Missouri to sell to save the ranch. Believe me a lot of things happened in between. Great book.
