When a tragic accident takes the life of seventeen-year-old Raven Roth's foster mom--and Raven's memory--she moves to New Orleans to live with her foster mother's family and finish her senior year of high school.
Starting over isn't easy. Raven remembers how to solve math equations and make pasta, but she can't remember her favorite song or who she was before the accident. When strange things start happening--impossible things--Raven starts to think it might be better not to know who she was in her previous life.
But as she grows closer to her foster sister, Max, her new friends, and Tommy Torres, a guy who accepts her for who she is now, Raven has to decide if she's ready to face what's buried in the past...and the darkness building inside her.

Ok color artwork, a lot of black and white background, to keep emotions low-key? Dc comics freebie.. 16 pages. This would be easier to review if it was 32 pages. This portrayal of ravens teen years is quite depressing. Not suitable for children, not suitable for those with strong religious beliefs.
I liked it and I'm seriously considering reading the full story, I only read two scenes in these sixteen pages and it left me wanting more. I always liked the cartoon, so why not?
Great book. Nice story, really keeps you interested. If you are looking for a good graphic novel check this out. Can't wait to read the next book in the series
Ok. I got a free little snippit of this from my grandma. and I thought it was for kids. you know... my usual genre. but then I saw who it was for. young adults. and I was almost expecting the worse. But I was pleasently suprised! Most young adult graphic novels I've peeked in feture many bad words, sexy images, inuendos, and gore. But this and the 'Squirrel Girl' series are the only YA Graphic novels I have been able to take home and finish reading. Though, it does take a significant level of maturity to read this. I would not give it to my younger brothers. (doesn't mean they did not read them anyway)
It contains: few bad words, refrances to demonic worship (Well... this is Raven, we kinda walked in to that one) LGBTQ. And I think thats it.
As she and her foster mother discuss Raven’s imminent adoption, they are suddenly struck in a fatal car crash.
Her mom doesn’t make it.
Move to New Orleans, to finish her senior year in high school.
Raven has lost her memory.
She goes through a box of her old belongings…
And she’s having nightmares…of a demon-looking dude that haunts her…
Illustration is good. Color work is rather on the bland side. Mostly black and white, with some limited colors. However, the typeface is excellent. Clear and easy to read.
Such a quick and easy read!! I mostly enjoyed this graphic, the only thing I didn't really like was how it talked about one thing one minute and quickly jumped to the next in half a second-so I guess my complaint is it's too fast-paced? Idk. This is the first graphic novel I've read so maybe I'm just not used to it.
This book was really really good and I loved how it ended and I loved the middle part of it. I gave it a 5 star because of how interesting it was. I would let 13 and up read this book.
Lol I just opened this on my kindle, sat ready and all that to read it, only to find out that it’s 16 pages long and just a “preview” , jokes on me 🤣 anyways, good intro tho
