About the author

H. Douglas Knust is a teacher, mentor, coach, father and grandfather. He has mentored middle school young men for over 20 years and taught religious education for over 35 years.

Knust started a middle-school boys service club in 2001. "Man Stuff" is a segment at their weekly meetings that deals with life lessons. In 2020, he wrote "Man Stuff: Things a Young Man Needs to Know", which is a collection of some of these topics. He followed up with "More Man Stuff: More Things a Young Man Needs to Know" in 2023.

He was a franchised automobile dealer for over 30 years and currently has several small businesses. Knust graduated from Creighton University with a finance degree in 1982. He loves to hunt, golf, sail and bicycle and is a life-long college basketball fan.

Knust and his wife, Judy, have three grown children, two granddaughters and two grandsons.

He enjoys to hunting, golfing, sailing and bicycling. He's a political junkie and has an interest in all things finance. He subscribes to the idea that most of life is a bit better with a splash of good bourbon!

He loves college basketball and is an avid fan of the Creighton Bluejays, his alma mater.

This is a terrific book and a nice easy read. It gives insights into how to approach regular events that a young teenage person will encounter.

Doug utilizes his experience working with youth, laying out a roadmap and providing helpful insights.

Parents and grandparents, this is a great book (not just for boys) to give to that young person you care about.

A good basic "how to be a man" book for middle school and early high school students. I think a lot of these could be true for both men and women.
