Invincible #19 – Uneasy Alliance
Angstrom Levy’s experiment with the Mauler Twins goes wrong, and the resulting disaster leaves him permanently disfigured — both physically and mentally. His transformation into a multidimensional threat is poetic and terrifying. This issue is fast-paced, emotional, and packed with consequences. It’s also a turning point: from now on, Invincible has a true arch-nemesis.

“Issue #19” starts with the astronauts from Mars back on Earth and partying all night to celebrate. Rus is dropped off at his apartment where he is revealed to actually be a martian after all.

Eve breaks up with William.

Mark gets home and finds his mom has been drinking. Then he goes to lunch with Amber. Until his pager goes off and he ditches her.

He’s called in to deal with Titan. Titan tells Invincible he needs his help. He’s ready to testify against Machine Head. Titan tells Invincible to carry him to Machine Head.

There’s a great conversation where Invincible tries to get Titan to join the Global Guardians and Titan explains that being a hero is a sucker’s game.

When they get to Machine Head he has a gang of super-henchmen in case something like this happens. They fight. They lose.

The Global Guardians show up just in time.

Nice issue. Some good action, some intrigue some hints of things to come. A good 3 though the explanation of super-villainy from Titan makes it 4 stars

Another storyline covered in the adaptation and Titan's plan was well thought out and I loved the action-packed issue poor Mark, he just can't catch a break.

I have always loved comics, and I hope that I will always love them. Even though I grew up reading local Indian comics like Raj Comics or Diamond Comics or even Manoj Comics, now's the time to catch up on the international and classic comics and Graphic novels. I am on my quest to read as many comics as I can. I Love comics to the bits, may the comics never leave my side. I loved reading this and love reading more, you should also read what you love and then just Keep on Reading.

Another martian on earth, Mark's mom is developing a drinking problem Amber and Mark are going to start having problems, Eve broke up with William.

This is the issue for that episode in season 1 where they take down the crime boss. I enjoyed their catchphrases and how they pointed how lame and ridiculous they are in the comic.

They still had the carrying/flying image and using "gay" as a derogatory term though. That's a big thumbs down from me.

4.5 estrellas.
