Kurosawa is now temporarily living at Adachi's place for the flimsiest of reasons. They get a grand total of one evening and morning alone together before Adachi freaks out and turns it into a sleepover party by inviting Rokkaku over. In general, Adachi is struggling with a lot of confusing feelings. He really wants to be loved as he is, and he knows Kurosawa would do that, but at the same time he's still not sure how he feels about being in a relationship with another guy. If he came across a woman who was as into him as Kurosawa was, would he prefer her simply because of the gender issue? Plus, Kurosawa has a pretty significant jealous streak that could quickly become a problem.
This was not nearly as much fun as the previous couple volumes, barely contained any content, and reminded me about some aspects of this series that initially made me uncomfortable.
Only two thirds of this was devoted to the primary story, and some of it was taken up by a twist that dissolved into nothing almost as soon as it appeared. Overall, this volume really was more of a bridge to whatever the next volume holds. Considering how short each volume of this series is, this irked me. I really wish Square Enix would do 2-volume (or even 3-volume) omnibus editions instead.
I share Adachi's concerns about Kurosawa's tendency towards jealousy. I'm crossing my fingers that once he and Adachi are officially a couple, Kurosawa doesn't give those tendencies free rein, or this series may quickly become unpleasant.
I wasn't pleased about the addition of a fujoshi character, either. Are there really people who watch people in their lives and fantasize about them pairing up? Do people actually do that? Because it's super gross. I keep seeing stuff like this played for laughs in anime and manga, and I don't get it.
In the last third of the volume, readers got to see a bit from Rokkaku's POV (he's not secretly in love with Adachi or Kurosawa, thank goodness, but he is a bit of an idiot), plus more of Tsuge's crush on the postal delivery guy, who I'm guessing will turn out to be a former friend and classmate of Rokkaku's. It was all okay, but I'm still not terribly invested in Tsuge's potential romance with Minato.
After winning me over in volume 2, the series lost a few points with me in this volume. I plan to continue on for now, but I wish it were a more consistent reading experience.
There is still no explicit content in this series, and yet Square Enix Manga continues to put a "Parental Advisory - Explicit Content" stamp on the cover. It annoys me. I know for a fact that that stamp is one of the reasons why the library I work for hasn't purchased the series, despite at least one patron request for it on Overdrive (no, it wasn't me, and in fact I was surprised to see it in the list).
Extras:
One strange full-color illustration in which Kurosawa and Adachi are inside a giant martini glass, a one-page bonus manga celebrating the release of the drama CD, a couple pages of translation notes, and a 12-page excerpt from the next volume.

A sleepover?!
Adachi is slowly falling for Kurosawa too and it's so wholesome to see it happen. This is the volume where I thought "I think I'm going to stop for the night and continue on tomorrow" but it ends in such a high note that GUESS WHAT? I COULDN'T STOP. And so I ended up reading volume 4 soon after I finished this one.

I keep coming back to this sweet manga. Loved it the first time, second time and so on and so forth. There's something about reading about a couple that communicates in a healthy manner, share their wins and failures that makes you want to root all over for your own love story as well.

At this point I’m just going to say that I fully relate to that meme NOW KISS. I just need these two to kiss already.
The story is cute and adorable, but I’m used to them at least kissing at this point. I love that they want to take it slow, but with the amount of almost kisses they should have at least done it accidentally.
The bonus chapters with Tsuge at the and are so hilarious, but the one of Rokkaku just made me want to slap him even more.

This volume wasn’t as good as the previous two but still very enjoyable. In it out mc Adachi (a virgin turned wizard who can read people’s minds) and his hot coworker who’s attracted to him are ‘forced’ to be in close contact. It’s lovely and fun following them both and seeing how he’s navigating these feelings that haven’t been finalised yet. We get some more information about the younger employee Rokkaku which was good, I really like his character and what he adds to the mix. In this volume I did feel the slow pace was maybe a little bit annoying as I’m wanting to push the story and possible relationship forward more but still very eager to check out more in the series.

This series has its moments but very slow burn (so far)
Adachi and Kurosawa’s relationship is very sweet and has its moments, but it moves very slowly so far (slow burn). Wouldn’t mind if it picked up a bit. It says explicit content but this series so far is no where near what some of the others show. They have finally reciprocated their love for each other so where to next?! Nice artwork, and good character development. Looking forward to the next volume.

YESSS! Confessionsss (finally and I was just so proud of Adachi to finally figure out his feeling and not drag it on and on because I was definitely worried it wouldn't be until volume 5 for this to happen)! More romance (or well very cute moments that just had me screaming for them to get together, because they are such a cute and good fit)! More sexy/oh my thoughts (OH! Kurosawa! Oh my! And those possessive thoughts, you don't expect it given how chill and zen he looks, but get close to Adachi and oh my). And also POVs of the best friend (who is in deep and I just want him to confess) + Rokkaku (which gave me new insights on Rokkaku and so I was very happy it was added as I still am not 100% convinced about this character and find him mostly annoying at points). YASSS!
Oh, and that girl at the office whose thoughts Adachi only half could figure out. If only he knew that someone at the office is shipping him and Kurosawa HARD! Fujoshi go!

This series continues to be a bright spot in my day! It's just so cute!
Again, it's super refreshing to read romance mangas that star older characters. A lot of what gets popular is about high schoolers. This series shows the awkwardness of trying to navigate romance when you've never dated anyone and I love that.
In this volume, Adachi learns more about how jealous Kurosawa can get when Adachi gives attention to others. Adachi tries to figure out if he truly likes Kurosawa, or if the affection is a product of knowing Kurosawa likes him after years of no one liking him romantically. He debates about the difficulties that would arise from dating a man and decides it'd be better to just go with the status quo.
The ending of this volume is very sweet! My Barnes & Noble only had volumes 1-3, so I'll have to wait on the next ones. I've seen the live action show and I can't wait to read them!

Ugh the cuteness. I can't. Watching the MMC slowly fall and realize his feelings? Please.
I remember finishing this book and immediately cursing myself for not having Volume 4 readily available to read right after. I'm excited to see how those around them react to their slowly forming love. I also love seeing the jealousy and how intense the love interest is with the MMC.
Also, something I noticed is that the volumes have a content advisory but these are pretty clean (so far). Gay manga must equal parental advisory, I guess LOL. Please.

Still loving the story overall but this volume was a little strange, more so Kurosawa was strange and Adachi inviting somebody else to sleepover so he doesn’t have to admit his feelings yet, be so fr. But it was cool to see the connection there with somebody else in the manga. I am so happy the confession finally came, though it felt anticlimactic. Still cannot wait to read the next volume though. 🩷

It's really hard for me to rate this manga because I've seen the LA version first and, to be perfectly honest, I like the drama much better. Mainly because there are no fujoshis there, I guess? Also, I like the drama "bridge" confession better than the manga "airport" one, it feels more intimate.
