Sierra Guthrie has been on the run for years. She’ll do anything to keep her daughter safe, including give up a winning lottery ticket and the chance to have more money than she’s ever dreamed of. Unless she can figure out how to get the money without giving the lottery commision her name, she’s going to have to pass on the chance of a lifetime.
Rowdy Lincoln needs a dose of luck. The past is coming back, and without some help he might lose what he loves more than anything. His daughter.
A chance meeting gives Rowdy the chance to swoop in and help Sierra, and together they might be able to make their luck last forever.
I’m thankful this book wasn’t very long. There are quite a lot of errors and lost plots. Also, there is a baby boy in the bunker, then two paragraphs later they say it’s a girl baby?
Another amazing book by Cee!! Floved this book. I've read all of this author's books and they get butterscotch each one. Loved Sierra and Rowdys story. You've got hot sex scenes, quick storyline, angsty parts and most of all family that sticks together. And I got to mention hot 🔥AF bikers! Keep them coming and I'll keep one-clicking. I highly recommend this series. Thanks Jamie Nibarger Ellis
Rowdy Lincoln's sole focus is his daughter, he has dated a few times over the years but has never found anyone that he would want in their life. He has noticed Sierra Guthrie and her daughter at gymnastic class but he figured he was not good enough for her, however Sierra surprises him at every turn. Finding that she has a problem that he can help fix he suggests they marry. He knows they are rushing into a relationship with two girls the same age but something about Sierra feels right. Both Sierra and Rowdy have problems in their past but together they maybe able to find a new future filled with love.
This was a really fast paced book that had me wondering where the story would lead. I liked all the characters in the book and thought Sierra was a woman who had been through hell but kept her held high throughout. Highly entertaining.
There is very little mention about Rowdy in her Texas Knights MC, he's more in John and Mattie's story but not by much. This felt like a filler book, you don't really know the characters. If this had been a stand alone book I would have enjoyed it more, instead its just confusing....like when did Nicole move out of her house ? When did Rowdy move in?
Safe, liked both mc's, whirlwind connection, they both had their children young. He was a victim of a pedophile, his teacher, and ended up having a baby at 13. She is a victim of abuse. Both subjects are talked about
Sweet story of young parents making a life for them and their blended family. I love second chance love in whatever form it comes. Even those these two met after they both had a daughter it was an amazing heart pounding true love story. Beautiful story, great writing.
I love Rowdy and his daughter. There story is one that kind of makes you cringe. But I'm so happy that everyone got there happily ever after. Can't wait to read the last book!
This is the third in the series but does stand alone if wanted. It’s a really sweet story about Rowdy a 25 year old single Dad with a 12 year old daughter. He pretty much raised his daughter along with himself. He’s kind, loving and gentle. He has a great relationship with his daughter.
Sierra also had her daughter young, aged 15. She’s living in Kari’s apartments for abused spouses and is on the run from her ex-husband.
Their daughters are in gymnastics together and are great friends and the night Sierra and Rowdy meet, Sierra has the biggest stroke of luck a broke single mother could get, only she’s scared to cash in on it because it might lead to her abusive husband finding her. This leads to some surprising suggestions from Rowdy.
This is a marriage of convenience story/insta-like turns to love story. It’s sweet and fuzzy and I enjoyed it tremendously as an escape from the real world. Sadly, once again their were character names mixed up. I hope that some of the later works have better proof readers, though I know I’ll probably read the books anyway because they make me smile.
This is my 2nd time reading it and I changed my mind. This wasn't insta-love but a necessity at the time. It was funny to read about a younger Leia as I've read her and Waylon's story and she's in her late 30's. She hasn't changed much....lol. Rowdy is a special man. What he went through at 13 and becoming such an exceptional father to Leia is inspiring.
1st reading - I loved the characters but this was beyond insta-love and therefore extremely unbelievable.
I like this. It's different but the characters are really likable. It's a bit of a fairy tale but it flows good. I feel like I need to read the Texas Kings series as characters from it pop up. It doesn't hurt this story but there are a lot of secondary characters from that series. A good read.
While this could be read as a stand-alone, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that the series be read in publication date order, in combination with the other stories / series about Rojo, Texas. These series contains multiple reoccurring characters, details that cannot be adequately recapped within the scope of another story that contributes to the story universe / world building, overlapping / concurrent timelines and overarching themes.
** There are some scenes that will be a trigger for sensitive readers. I have included examples below. Also, if you have not read the previous stories in this series, the following may contain SPOILERS **
Another great story by Cee Bowerman. The MC genre contains several different branches from sweet to outlaw to one percenters. This one is right in the middle in my opinion. It is about love, brotherhood, families and support, but also contains characters that have, and will, get their hands dirty, cut and broken to protect those they love, regardless of gender.
This story features Rowdy, a member of the Texas Knights MC, and Sierra, who moved to Rojo, Texas on the run from her ex. The two meet at school where their two daughters attend training cheerleading / gymnastics classes, but haven’t really interacted. Then a chance meeting at a convenience store after class changes everything.
Sierra decides to check a lottery ticket given to her as a tip a few nights before. She faints and hits her head when she gets the results. Rowdy was in line beside her and took her to get medical attention. This highlights a problem that the two of them might be able to help the other.
Can the two of them find love in an arrangement? What happens if either of their respective exes finds them?
⛔️ The series contains references to, or scenes detailing, subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some, including: adult language; derogatory terms; mental health challenges; steamy adult intimate scenes; violence such as kidnapping, abduction, murder, death, torture, assault, fighting, betrayal, coercion, blackmail, rape, statutory rape, threats, subterfuge, as well as the mental, physical and sexual abuse of females and children, polygamy, etc.
** Caution: Contains scenes with reference to, or detailed graphic violence against females and children that fit into the storyline, but may be a trigger for some **
There are very few grammatical issues primarily comprised of incorrect word choice, typos, punctuation errors (extra periods, commas, missing quotation marks), missed words and extra inserted words.
There are also a few things that were not addressed after being mentioned, such as what kind of trauma Sierra and her daughter went through that required stitches and procedures after their last run in with her ex. Also, the mention of this would indicate some type of scarring, but no further mention of anything for either of them. I am mentioning these for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow.
This is a thoughtful story with sensitive situations that happen to the main two characters. I couldn’t believe Rowdy’s history. It was unbelievable that he was taken advantage of as a child. Sierra poor thing, she was just ignored and forced to marry by her own parents. Rowdy and Sierra meet at the perfect time to help each other from dangers on the horizon. The daughters of Rowdy and Sierra are entertaining and certainly add to the storyline and plot. I did not understand the last chapter and epilogue or what significance it has on the story and characters. It was a scene where Sierra was hormonal and irritated with Rowdy and their daughters. However she wasn’t pregnant and they were disappointed. So now instead of the giving a good glimpse into the future with these characters, we got left a question, did Rowdy and Sierra ever have another child. Not pleased with the ending in a question. Read On!
This one drew me in pretty quickly, but it became really hard for me to stop turning the page so fast when Rowdy and Sierra started to share how each of them became a parent at such a young age. Both stories were horrible, yet they did a great job with the girls. I thought the marriage of convivence was a good idea and you could tell it would be a convivence for very long. The chemistry was there between them and both of them were willing to explore that. I also really loved how both Rowdy and Sierra were smitten enough at the start to be so thoughtful in what they gave each other as wedding gifts.
The drama at the end was crazy in so many ways! I was glad that the girls were able to keep a level head and do what they needed to, to keep safe. Sierra also did a great job of keeping a level head, her solution of how to deal with the problem was fine by me. It gave everyone time to get there and help in the aftermath.
Sierra, a single mother fresh out of luck and on the run... Rowdy, a single dad who is in an MC club.... a chance meeting, would they find the luck and love they deserve??
I love Cee Bowerman's MC series and anything she writes I buy.
I find her writing style relevant, storyline, plot, characters all fascinating and how believable they are. The way Rowdy has had a hard life, surrounded by friends who supported and loved him and have always had his back and how Sierra is welcomed intro the fold, with her daughter.
The MC brotherhood have core values, many strengths, compassion for those they love and NOONE messes with theirs. I think the strong morals it portrays definately make it a great read that I could not put down.
There isn't anything I felt lacking or would have liked to have seen written differently.
Ms Bowerman is my new favourite author! I LOVE these books. There isn’t a character that I don’t absolutely love.
The story development is fantastic and character development is wonderful! Editing needs to tighten up for accuracy and consistency ie: wrong names or details from previous books. But minor and likely due to my eye for detail and the rate at which I am consuming her books! I read the Texas Kings series first, but best if your read the Texas Knights first. Although reading this series made me go back and re-read some of the Kinds. The author has created a world in Rojo, Texas, that I can’t get enough of. I can’t wait for the next book!
This story is so amazing. Sierra and her daughter Lexi on the run from an abusive ex are staying in Kari's apartments. Rowdy is single raising his daughter Leia. Sierra wins the lottery but can't cash in due to ex. So Rowdy put to her the idea of them together. My goodness Rowdy while an alpha but with a heart of gold. These two are sweet but cautious. Rowdy's story of how Leia came about and his troubles now make you want to cut a b****. You'll love this story it's not all hearts and flowers, but you will love it just the same.

One topic in the story, might cause some issues with some people. But sadly, it does happen.
Rowdy had to grow up extremely fast and deal with a child. Something that many young parents can't do. Sierra also had to grow up extremely fast. Her path was filled with more pain, tears, and blood, then anyone should have to deal with.
This is their story. Their story showing that love can heal wounds, that we don't even know are there.
I chose this rating because this was actually a really great book. I really enjoyed all of the characters, well most all of the characters. Because there was that one point where I was not happy with the crazy lady. I really enjoyed Rowdy and Sierra story. This was a book of compassion, kindness, protecting yourself, and being the best parents you can be. I really loved the way Leia and Lexi were great friends and then became awesome sisters. Great read! I recommend this book to all romance readers and MC lovers.
If you prefer hard core MC books and all that is related to them, this is not for you. It is a feel good story and the only mention of clubs is when the characters each claim others as 'brothers'. Rowdy became a father at 14 years old and he has brought his daughter Leia up single handedly. He meets Sierra at his daughter's gym club where she is watching her daughter Lexi. Their story continues together, but I do not want to give any spoilers.
This one had so many different facets to it! I will say almost all the events in this book took place BEFORE Bears book. However, since it mainly covers strictly Rowdy you don’t need to worry about that.
Action ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Believable storyline & overall plot ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Entertainment 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Spicy 🌶️ 🌶️ Triggers 🚩 Writing style & written format ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Overall a solid non spicy 4/5
Note the lower the 🚩 the better, meaning not many triggers & defines it as a romantic read not dark romance.🥰
Every time I think I have favorite characters in Rojo, I find a new set. I just loved Rowdy and Sierra, and watching them find their HEA. There were laugh out loud moments, and parts that pulled at the heart strings. The author does a great job of dreaming up fresh plot ideas for each book in this series. There are lots of references to previous characters, but she gives enough back story to keep it from being confusing.
Oh my! I have to be honest, I didn't really pay attention to Rowdy in previous books and I do regret it, having read this one. It was such a great story. It had it's moments and glad that some terrible ends were met by messed up people...but thays the way it goes! Leia and Lexi were loving spoonfuls so I'm looking forward to their stories once the boys (Jace, Fain, Daughtry and all the rest) and Kari are done... Another beautiful read Cee xxx
I liked this book, especially the two girls, they brought a hilarity to the story. Both Rowdy and Sierra had sad backstories and it was nice to see them find each other. Parts of the story seemed a little off for me towards the end, like the whole dishwasher argument, I understood where the author was going with it but it sorta took the shine out of their love story for me. Made me wonder if they are going to last.
When I read Cee Bowerman' s books originally, this book hadn't been released yet. I was searching for a book to get me our of a reading funk and came across this gem. Thank goodness because it's another book of genius.
I loved reading about two parents who became parents young and found a unique way to meet, marry and fall in love. And it had the added bonus of cameos of our many book friends floating throughout. I liked to see a bit of the relationship between Marcus and Reagan as well.

An interesting twist to have 2 characters become parents at such young ages. Rowdy really did grow up with his daughter. Sierra is situation, getting pregnant young with a first love not too unrealistic for sure - but whew! Crazy family on both sides. Story went fine until the author threw Beverly into the mix and then the hormonal craziness never really gets explained, just seems to hang there. The epilogue wasn't very helpful either.
A little too neatly worked out for me. And there was waaaaay too much chucked in there for convenience once again.
I quite like the epilogues set in the future... but, for me, there needs to be more. I mean, in honesty it felt like all of the lead characters were dead with the epilogue in this one. Truthfully, it wasn't really an epilogue at all. An epilogue should be a reflection on what has happened with some insight into the lead's future... we didn't get that.
I loved Rowdy and Sierra's story. Just when I think I've picked my favorite Knight or King, Cee gives us a new character to fall in love with. I loved the family and all that Rowdy was willing to do for his. As always Cee leaves us wanting more, and wanting to see even more adventures from her cast of characters.
I have been waiting for this book. It did not disappoint. I love how all of Cee's books show how families can be blended and the acceptance of people's differences and quirks. How loyalty and friendship can overcome most of life's challenges. Thank you Cee for another amazing story.
I just finished reading the next book in the series and I can't wait for more books from this series and you didn't disappoint me on this series I hope you have more about these people who were in the series and I hope I don't have to wait almost for ever and ever to read it
