Ruby Langford, a Bunjalung aborigine, was born at the Box Ridge Mission, Coraki on the NSW north coast, grew up at Bonalbo and went to high school in Casino.
My second time around for this book. The author is hilarious, she has a way of writing that is down to earth and true. Ruby tells it like it is from her point of view, the hardships and problems she faced growing up and bringing up her family. The book is written in a matter of fact way, direct from the author. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it is a reflection of Australian society. A quick and easy read that is sad and fun!
