While fantasy isn’t typically my genre of choice, I found The Nameless not the typical fantasy story. Yes, it holds elements of fantasy. Formal speech that feels like it came from the past. Lands that aren’t found on maps. Names and words that feel familiar but aren’t. It has all the marks of a traditional fantasy story. But beyond that there is a hint of romance and enough twists and turns to keep the reader interested. While I felt like I knew exactly where the story was going, I found myself surprised and growing more curious as I read. The main character, Tigress, is interesting and real. She feels like the friend you have that’s been hurt one to many times and don’t want to trust, but just can’t help herself. The other characters are just as intriguing. I was oddly drawn to them, not knowing who to trust and who not to. The Nameless is an easy to read, fast-paced story, that draws you into a world that feel familiar but constantly keeps you guessing as to what’s going to happen next and who the real enemies are. A must read for anyone who loves a great story!
