“If you love a well-crafted urban fantasy, then this series is for you.” - Amazon Reviewer

Almost everything was back to normal: governments had been restored, cities rebuilt, and the ancient gods’ existence remained a secret. Mostly. Only one thing was left to do:

Rescue the witches trapped in Hell.

Except Sera discovers the only way in and out of the underworld is to become immortal herself, the one thing in life she most definitely does not want to do. She must make the decision of a lifetime. As in an everlasting lifetime.

Matters only get more complicated when she learns she’ll need to take Danae, the ancient vampire who created this whole mess, with her to Hell. Failing to bring her means the witches will be enslaved forever.

If Sera fails, an even darker future than the one Danae had promised will be unleashed upon the mortal world.

This time it will be Hell on Earth.

If you enjoy books by Anne Rice, Anne Bishop, Annette Marie, or anything paranormal fantasy, then dive in and get ready for a vampire origin story unlike any other, with twists you’ll never see coming. Scroll up and one-click to start this thrilling adventure today!

REVENGE OF THE WITCH is the 3rd book in the IMMORTAL RELICS series, a New Adult Urban Fantasy adventure where Roman mythology and wry humor blend seamlessly with magic, mayhem, and monsters.

Stephanie Mirro writes bold, adventurous fantasy for readers who love a little heat with their heartbreak, and maybe a splash of chaos. As a proudly neurodivergent author, she creates fierce, complex characters—neurodivergent ones included—who tackle impossible odds armed with sharp wit and questionable life choices. When not crafting mythology-rich worlds or morally grey heroes, Stephanie can be found bingeing heist movies, searching for her next caffeine fix, or accidentally setting things on fire in the name of creativity.

A rollicking ride into the underworld brings this series to a very satisfying conclusion! Edit: I have heard the story is not yet finished, which is rather good news!
I've become quite attached to Serafina and her allies in these three books. Mirro has created a believable protagonist with courage, fallibility, new powers and tragic baggage. And a nice, sarcastic sense of humour.
As with the other two books, it feels like a fresh take on various realms of mythology, and for me, it was a long overdue trip back into the vaults of vampires. And I enjoyed the family aspect of it all. Good stories are often about familial bonds and how they move us or give us strength.
Looking forward to more from Stephanie Mirro!

This is the third book in this series, and I dived in with great expectations as the first two were so much fun. Sera is waiting to find a way into to the underworld to rescue someone dear to her, and she find out you have to immortal to take that trip. I love the action, the characters, and especially the unique worldbuilding of this series, and I probably loved this book best of all. I went into this thinking it was the last, but I found out there’s more to come and I’m so glad. All the plot threads were mostly dealt with in this one to leave the reader well-satisfied. If you love a well-crafted urban fantasy, then this series is for you. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

This is book three of the Immortal Relics series and starts after Danae, a witch and an Eternal, and her Bacchae, those vampire like creatures, have destroyed lots of cities around the world as she tried to take over the world. Sera and Theo, the detective and Immortal merged with the God Xolotl, got to the library in Budapest, searching for information on Hungarian deities, just in time to see it burn and crashing down. They return to Paris to question Danae, who is now being held in La Sante prison, in conditions to lessen her abilities, on how to rescue Sera’s mother and the other witches who have been kept in the Underworld for the last twenty years, since Danae captured them whilst on a dig for the Bacchus amulet.

They find out, that to go to the Underworld to rescue her mother and the other witches, she would need to either sacrifice a soul or become Immortal, something she had already said she would never ever do! She would love to get back to a life as before, as a human again, back teaching archaeology and going on digs. But to save her mother’s life, she would do anything and that makes the decision so much easier. Instead of merging with Bacchus only when she is wearing his amulet, she will merged with him permanently, with a tattoo like Theo’s replacing the amulet, and become Immortal, to enable her to reach the Underworld. Once she does this, she will never be able to return to her previous life and will have to live forever, with all the issues that can bring, good and bad.

Another major sticking point, is that she and however goes with her will have to take Danae with them. Even though Danae is responsible for everything that has happened now and twenty years ago. Since Danae created the spell to enslave the witches to Ordog in the Underworld, she is the only one that can break it and release them! They will have to free Danae from the French prison, or on her way to the States for her trial, to be able to take her with them. Sera is joined by Theo and Lasirenn, the siren who she still hasn’t asked if the two have fulfilled their deal yet from requesting her help in the last book. They will be met by Nora, who is currently merged with the God Freyja, her Bacchae boyfriend Solomon, who Sera still doesn’t trust after he killed her boyfriend Hiro, and Renee, a witch who is being temporarily used by the God Eshu.

To reach the Underworld or Hell, they have to summon Hel and her horse again, from the cave location where Danae took all the witches, all those years ago. Hel gives them concise instructions to follow, but also a warning that if Ordog manages to escape his realm whilst they are in Helheim, then hell will rain down on Earth! Feelings of being watched or followed, should have been considered more urgently, as there are still followers of Danae who would be desperate to free her and get their just rewards. Their journey through the Underworld will not be an easy one and will have problems facing it from the very beginning. Each will have to face trials on their journey and will have to overcome them in order to return back to whence they came. Sacrifices will be made by some and not all of them will return alive.

Another great read in this series, as Sera pushes to save her mother and the others from the grips of Ordog, in Hell itself, after some twenty years of torture and agony. But to do so, she has to rely on the Eternal who caused al her problems, Danae. Nothing is every as easy as it seems it will be to begin with and more obstacles will get in the way of what they want. Old enemies will surface and one’s wish for a drastic change will leave everything in limbo and a cliff hanger. A huge battle against the ultimate evil being and the demon dogs of hell. Great witch power and some intriguing behaviour from the Gods and their mortal companions. I can’t wait for more! I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

I received an ARC

I loved it! I've read all three and this one is my favorite. Sera has to learn how to work with Danae without killing her and decide if she's going to accept Bacchus. The last puzzle pieces fall together with Danae and why she decided to become the blood thirsty bacchae she is. Solomon has to face his past, present, and future. Nora learns some interesting tidbits about her heritage. So many things happen, there's no way to describe them. I started reading it and didn't stop until I finished it. If I could give it more stars I would. It ties up all the loose ends but at the same time leaves it open for another book. Decisions, decisions!

I can’t express how much I needed this book! Mirro consistently blows me away with her vivid description and this trip to the underworld was her best imagery yet! I won’t give spoilers...I want to talk about them, but I won’t. What I will say is that I was eating up those breadcrumbs throughout the book and was so happy at the end!

I love how Hel was depicted. She is such a formidable goddess and Mirro portrayed her very well. The Ordog and Danae content was brutal and savage, just as they were meant to be.

This book gave me romance, action, mystery, heartbreak, and humor. I can’t wait for book four!

Amazing conclusion to the trilogy! Danae has been defeated but now Sera and her friends have to travel to Hel to rescue her mother and the other witches trapped there. And Sol has to discover how to get his mortality back.

This final book had me on the edge of my seat as the team ran through Hel. I could not believe the turn of events. There are parts that make you laugh and parts that make you cry but its such a good story that you dont even mind!!

Another great story about Sera and what she must do. This time she has to work with Danae to rescue the witches in hell. The story was great and made me laugh and groan. I loved the action and the story. I was hooked from the beginning and entertained. The characters and plot were a blast. A great addition to the series and hard to put down.

Book 3 continues this exciting fast paced series. As with the previous books I was captivated from the start and had a hard time putting the book down. I am pleased that there will be more to the story since I though this would be the last one. I really like the characters and their interactions - I am completely invested and look forward for more.

Wicked, and Worldly, and every creature in between !

This last book of the series was by far the epitome of fantasy! It took me on a whirlwind ride from the other world to he'll and back to civilization again! Not the ending you'd expect.

Fantastic addition to this series! I originally thought that this was a trilogy but I am very happy to hear that it's actually going to be a series. I was not ready to say goodbye to these great characters yet. I really love all aspects of this world that the author has created. This series is very different from any "vampire" series I have read. While this book does have fantasy elements such as vampire, witches, demons and werewolf's, it's also very rich in history and lore. You can tell that the author has done their research making sure the novels are as accurate as they can be.

I love how with each novel, the pace gets quicker and you get even more caught up in the story line while also not neglecting character development. What a wonderful balance. I am a naturally fast reader and because these novels are so great I find myself finishing them rather quickly. Which is a bit of a bummer cause now I have to wait till the next one is released! I am loving what I read so far and can't wait till the next installment is released.

This is the third installment in the series, but it is my first foray into the universe, and this is likely to colour my impression.

Overall, I really liked the novel. The world-building is well-executed, and is easy to understand. The pacing is good - it kept my interest and the author did a very good job of ensuring the description didn't bog down the action. I found that having multiple pantheons represented did cause a little awkwardness in the sense that it wasn't always clear to me what one God knew of the Deities from other pantheons, and how they related to one another, but these were minor and exist largely owing to my own areas of curiosity rather than colouring my impression of the story.

I thought the characters were very well-developed overall. There is a fairly large cast of characters, so they were, unsurprisingly, a bit unevenly treated, as I would expect in trying to manage so many. One character seemed especially under-served in this novel, in showing an out-of-character (in the context of this novel) choice that was never really explained, and robbing the reader of understanding the true depths of the character. I found that Sera, the primary character, read as a strong lead overall, and I felt her development through the novel largely made sense.

The story was told through several points of view. While this did add some added context and depth to the featured characters, I didn't feel that it was strictly necessary for the progress of the story. However, as this is a series, this choice may prove to be more significant as the series continues to unfold.

There were a couple of elements of research - particularly in the depiction of law enforcement and international relations - that I felt were lacking. (This may be owing to some groundwork laid in previous installments that could not be altered for continuity purposes - as I have stated, I have not read the prior books in the series, so this is purely speculation). While these were small details that didn't really impact the main thrust of the novel, they bothered me enough to take me out of the story.

The author did a really good job of completing the arc of this novel, but clearly laying the groundwork for the next in the series.

This was an enjoyable read, and I will definitely read more from this author.

I received a copy of this novel through the author.

„Revenge of the Witch” the third book in the “Immortal Relics Series” by Stephanie Mirro offers a little reprieve to Sera(fina) before throwing her head-first once more into mayhem. After the events related in the previous book (“Fury of the Gods”) things seem to be going back to normal, the existence of ancient gods has remained secret while the cities are rebuilding with the human authorities once again in charge. But Sera’s reprieve is short: she discovers that free roaming in and out of the underworld is reserved to immortals and that is something she really does not want to become. Nevertheless, Danae has to be taken to hell, otherwise the consequences for mortals and witches would be dreadful and thus Sera has to make a decision that will have repercussion for eternity.

Stephanie Mirro series are a new take of a timeless story, the mix of archeology and UF works well without being overbearing and enables the MC to be in the situation to find the powerful artifact, that is the pivotal elements of the series. While using known tropes and stories the book brings a brand-new twist that also incorporates vampire myths. A well-written story, that interlaces history, mythical lore, and archeological bits with fast-paced action and good developed characters thrown in the middle of unexpected situations. An interesting and entertaining story from start to finish.
