Three brothers will lose their birthright if they don’t act fast.

Tender Melody
Ezekiel Wagner needs the family ranch to succeed but without money for back taxes, he’ll lose everything. His aunt offers a way out, but is the cost too high? Her dying wish is to give them The Grand Opera House of Rapid City, but there’s one catch. All three brothers must wed first. When he chooses to marry the costume designer out of necessity, will a marriage of convenience ruin the crescendo building between them?
Beloved Duet
Sam Wagner is the forgotten son. He will do whatever he must to take ownership of the Opera House, including send for a mail order bride. When his first plan falls flat, he seeks the hand of the woman who helped him along the way. Except, she’d rather have nothing to do with him or his hand. As time runs short, can he convince her he isn’t the man she believes him to be?
Grand Finale
Caleb Wagner flees his home and his family to escape the pressure of finding a wife. He’s certain if he leaves, his aunt will relent and give his brothers their desires. While away, he meets an opera star in hiding. She convinces him to bring her back to Keystone, the perfect place to escape. Will she be the final piece the family needs or will Caleb’s delay mean silence for them all?

If wives aren’t found before time runs out three brothers will lose their birthright. Don’t miss this sweet, historical romance with perfect pacing and a final curtain you won’t want to miss.

This is a book in three parts. Each part is about a different brother and his finding a wife.

I read part one and would rate it at 3 stars. One thing I didn’t like about part one was that the story had the aunt locked in to her own change of her own will. It doesn’t work like that. Legally, the aunt could change her own will as long as she was alive. Now if it had been the uncle’s will, then everyone would have been locked in. So everyone was acting all locked in to this scenario when it didn’t have to be like that. So it bothered me. I liked Zeke and Martha well enough.

I started part two and just didn’t like Debra. A person doesn’t get arrested for libel. It is a civil action where someone sues for money or an injunction or both. It is not a criminal action where someone would be arrested. Therefore, one does not sit in jail and is not then released to someone else in indentured servitude even in the Wild West. Additionally, some readers like stories where one of the main characters has had hard times and the other character gently helps that person heal. I am not such a reader.

That brings me to Caleb and my not even skipping ahead to part three. He was not very likable and I was not looking forward to his story for the same reason as part two and Debra. I need to like the main characters in a romance.

I would try another book by this author since this is the first one I have read by her unless the plot involved some other erroneous legal issues.

A trilogy of beautiful stories set in the area surrounding Rapid City, SD. Beautifully orchestrated cast of characters, 3 brothers, chaffing against a will condition of their dying Aunt.
Each is against the condition of a forced marriage to save what they consider their birthright! But for different reasons. Can they work their way through this muddled will and each come out of this situation the way they want? Will their lives be forever changed by the conditions of the will? Can they beat the clock and do as their Aunt asks before time runs out? These stories are some of Kari Trumbo's best yet! She has written from her heart once again. I highly recommend this book and the rest of the Regional Romance Series!

I thoroughly enjoyed this set of three books.
Set in the Old West, three brothers must fight for their inheritances. The caveat is they must find a special woman to stand beside them to get it. Can they find the right ones in time?
I appreciated that the author took three woman that needed help, and put the right men in their lives. Knowing that finding the right spouse will give you the help meet you need in tough times. That your past does not define you and your worth!
It's a great read with all the happy endings you would want!

I have received an advanced reader copy from the author, but my thoughts and opinions are my own.

Each novel within the book focuses on each of the Wagner brothers as they strive to fulfill the conditions of their aunt's will before she passes away. They encounter and overcome many obstacles in their attempts to do so. Kari Trumbo does it again with an engaging storyline and believable characters. The character of Debra is my favorite and not only because she has a great name.

To receive an inheritance three brothers need to get married before their aunt dies. All brothers really want, or even need, this but they all don’t want to marry a stranger. But what will happen when they each meet a woman who needs help or a home?
These three stories are full with adventure, care and love. And some villains who they have to stop before it’s too late.
I really enjoyed this great trilogy.

Wonderful characters, each one works their way into your heart! I really enjoyed this story, it’s three romances rolled into one story. Emotional and touching with the treatment of women back then. The authors pulls you into the story and you feel each hardship endured. So many scoundrels throughout the story, there is also that knight in shining armor! This was such a wonderful journey to be taken on that I was really sad for it to end. Sweet clean romances that would have any women falling in love.
Was given a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.

A Dead line!

When the Wagner brothera are called to their Aunt Rosemary's house, none of them are prepared to find her so ill. Their ma and pa had died only two months before followed a month ago by Aunt Rosemary' beloved husband, Uncle Adam. The two had finally settled in Rapid City, buying a theater that would be their first permanent home, having traveled with theater troops all their lives.
Aunt Rosemary had taken ill at the same time as Uncle Adam, but had a much lighter case. With his death and funeral, she had not recovered from by he unknown illness, and had begun to look for guidance from a lawyer who claimed to have been in Uncle Adam's employ for the two weeks prior to his death. Since then, Mr. Piedmont had advised her on changes to her will and been given management of her bank accounts.
Astounded, the nephews learned that the will be changed to give them the theater and their heirs their Aunt and Uncle's money if they were married before her death. None of them even had sweethearts, though Sam was corresponding with a mail order bride. Zeck was worried about being rushed to make such an important decision, but he was willing to try. Caleb, though, had no desire to marry. His brothers thought their parents had the kind of love few couples ever experience. Caleb, unfortunately, had overheard his mother talking to herself about her life, one day, and he'd never been the same since. He thought she hated her life, was sorry she'd married his dad, and had her sons. After that little revelation, Caleb vowed to never marry!
The three book set is the ideal way to get to know the Wagner boys and their Aunt Rosemary, and even the villainous lawyer! Great stories, wonderfully real characters, and most of all, several hours if you're pleasure. Kari Truman is getting to be one of my favorite authors!

This book was divided into three parts each one focusing on one of the Wagner brothers and the women they are considering marrying before their aunt's death to gain her inheritance per the stipulations in her will. Zeke, Sam, and Caleb have different personalities and desires in their lives as do the women they court. Zeke just wants keep and work his family's sheep farm. Sam wants to run his aunt's theater. I don't think Caleb knew what he wanted except not be forced to marry. Maude, Debra, and Star are all working girls who dealt with selfish and cruel bosses. Maude's situation is unfortunately still prevalent today with jealous designers taking credit for their subordinate's work. She thought she could escape that and be her own boss only to be called a thief because of her designs. It shook me up how awful Debra's situation as indentured servant was, locked up with a place on floor to sleep like a dog and only one pitiful meal a day. Singer Star's manager used her for his own gain and wanted to turn her into a prostitute. None of the romances go smoothly with plenty of misunderstandings, stubbornness, and pride between them. There was plenty of suspense in this clean romance with the greedy lawyer, the ladies' situations, and questions about the sudden deaths of the Wagner brother's parents and uncle and why their aunt has also fallen ill.

The narrator has a distinctive deep and clear voice and uses voice changes and inflections in all the right places.

This is the story of three brothers who need to marry to fulfill their dying aunt’s will’s demands to inherit their inheritance of money and a newly remodeled musical theatre. Two brothers will get married, Zeke and Sam, but not Caleb. Also is it strange that their uncle and parents all died in the same week and now their aunt is deathly ill. Cue dastardly lawyer, need to be rescued brides, and can you trust the nurse or the butler? Something is up but what or who?

Good clean read. A little too long for me. 400+ pages. I think it could have been told in fifty less pages and accomplished the same story. The book was divided into three separate sections, for each brothers story, which did help so it could in all fairness of just been me. Also at times, and this could have been the kindle transcription, the conversation between characters was hard to follow. You were never sure who was saying what and even after reading the lines two or three times you just had to move on.

Still like I said a clean enjoyable and if not predictable read. 😊

Black Hills Song

This was a wonderful story, involving three brothers, living on a sheep ranch. Their parents had died quickly and the boys uncle, within two days of each other. Aunt Rosemary’s lawyer was wanting to read the Will quickly after their death. Conditions were stated, requiring all three sons to inherit the theater and aunt Rosemary’s money at her death, would be required to marry each of them before her death. This was one of the best stories, each brother had their on struggles about marrying, and trying to save the sheep ranch, from post due taxes, their father failed to pay. You will enjoy struggling with each brother to enjoy where they meet the conditions or not.

What a wonderful saga! I enjoyed the fast pace of these books yet was sorry as each one seemed to end too quickly. I enjoyed the research the author clearly did into the history of how towns developed in this time period.
I also found it interesting how people don't really change much. The characters in these books were similar in many ways to people I know. Even some of the prejudices the author describes aren't that different today.
The narrator also did a good job matching the pace of the storyline while not making the book feel rushed.
I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook. This is my honest and original review.

The author has penned a great trilogy of three brothers who are charged with the term of their aged aunt to marry before their aged aunt dies and they can gain their inheritance. The three brothers, Ezekiel, Sam and Caleb, all react differently to this stipulation. The character development is excellent and the three stories are outstanding. It is one of those books you will want to keep turning the pages to see what happens next. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. I know you will enjoy it too and will look forward to the other books in the series.

I really enjoyed reading this series! It is a story about a family who owns a sheep ranch and their aunt owns an opera house. She has made her will to read that unless all three brothers are married when she dies then the opera house will go to her lawyer. One of the boys really wants the opera house so they start trying to find wives! I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys western romance books!

Fantastic narration by J Scott Bennett, did a great job with the different characters. The setting, characters, and the problems with the quest to find wives was well done. Taking us back to a different era with old towns and a slower way of life.
Her books draws you in as though you are with each of them.

All of the stories were put together so well, and interacted with each other. The first story was probably my favorite, and I felt like it set the tone for the rest of the books. In the most basic of terms the stories are damsels in distress being saved by strong men, but these women were much more than just damsels in distress... they had depth and their own powerful stories.

Interesting

Book one was a bit clunky. Dialogue felt awkward. Book two had better flow but grossly lacked in faith sharing. Book three was kind of clunky as well but at least there was some action in it. Overall I felt sad that all the three wives were portrayed as basic destitute women that had to be rescued. Seemed we were constantly reminded of their poor situations and not shown more of their strength of character.
