Absolutely wonderful! Ground-breaking, moving and inspiring. I would love to have his abilities to evangelize and bring healing and fire on people. And he says that Christians CAN and DO have these abilities!!! But it would certainly take a leap of faith, and seriously putting yourself out there. (Scary for an introvert.) Could you imagine if all Christians were brave and strong and spoke out so boldly??

A call to evangelize
Joe Oden makes the case that evangelization isn't just for evangelists, but for every Christian. He offers quite radical examples from his own ministry and personal experiences, yet he also encourages believers to do it in a way that suit one's personality. The subject is out of my comfort zone I would say, - but it does prompt me to think.

The simplicity of this book's message is a part of it's power. There is no fluff and no softening of language. We have a mandate, and we are failing miserably. We have a power that we are not using. Hard stop. I suspect that I will come back to this book whenever I feel complacency trying to knock at my door.

There's a lot here that I agree with regarding the Gospel, and more for me to chew on andthink about. Oden comes across as fiery but not crass or in-your-face, which helps get his message across. I saw Oden speak, and this book is a more digestible version of his message that you can process at your own pace.
