(3.5 stars) - Bit of a slow start, but then it gets good
The beginning felt a little stilted with establishing the characters & their 'zinging' attraction. 🙄 At first Levi is inflexible & arrogant - I wasn't sure if I would like him.
Monica was more sympathetic, though still a little flat, & her constant accidents were cringey.
Once Alex entered the picture, then things picked up a little, and the main characters started becoming better rounded & more likeable.
Levi & Monica get past their initial negative impressions, but the path to love in a romance novel is never smooth. Family first is both a truism & a stumbling block for the would be lovers.
It's really sweet the way it resolves & a nice, winking happily-ever-after epilogue.
*Clean romance level: sweet kisses, nothing graphic
