Memphis Kingland is fully focused on the race track as a new race car driver, until Cafa Atkins catches her eye when he steps out of his cockpit and sheds his jumpsuit. His charming grin and cheeky talk are impossible to resist. Months pass with playful flirting until Cafa extends a serious invitation to Memphis for the season's biggest racing event. Despite some nerves, Memphis's excitement wins out, and she agrees to join him. On race day, Cafa's playful demeanour remains, and he proposes a bet. Memphis isn't surprised until she hears the stakes: if she wins, she gets a ride in Cafa's car, but if Cafa wins... he gets an intimate encounter with Memphis.

This short story is interesting, or as the description says, a "quickie". I like how the story unfolds, the sweet flirting between colleagues, competitors. Their first date quickly becomes intriguing. I recommend reading the whole series, it will be fun, and maybe you'll need something on the side.

Loved it!

This novella provided an engaging and stimulating narrative. The concise format allowed for a captivating experience, and the content was highly compelling. I found myself thoroughly engrossed and wished for a more extended exploration of the subject matter. I wholeheartedly recommend this short story.

2.5 stars. Well written, but such a damn tease. Half the ebook is a sneak peak at another book from the author, so we only get 27 pages of the actual story at the race track. This was a free ebook, so I can’t really complain. I just wish we got more than oral.
