Gripping from start to finish

This has been one of the most talked about books in the last month on a gangland forum I'm on. Decided to see what all the fuss was about and I was not disappointed. This is brilliant writing especially for a debut novel. Slow build up but explodes into life Then an ending that does not disappoint. . Its a awesome read. I think we are going to hear a lot more of Daniel Glennon in the near future. My only concern is that the author may support Sunderland but hell you can't have it all!!

The story itself is okay, if a bit predictable. However, the standard of writing really hurt my eyes and head - goodness me it was painful. Dire, and in dire need of editing. I’d avoid this.

Really enjoyed this book and was looking for more books by this author only too see it’s his debut book which makes it even more wow as this really was a great read.Jack has a family that are living on the edge day to day they don’t have money for expensive presents or the best clothes so jack finds himself learning to make money his own way and slipping into the wrong world when a massive opportunity comes him way but will jack take it or will his other life get in the way????
I would definitely recommend this book and can’t wait to read more by this author.

I did enjoy this book and it is a great first book for development of characters. Jack could have had a different life with a lot of guidance. The absolute cruelty and betrayal he endured at an early age that nearly ended his young life was heartbreaking. Jealousy is a destructive trait. The only bit I struggled with was when Bram and Jack moved to progress Tommy’s drug empire . The speed in which he made relationships with Sophie Marty and her mum baffled and confused me a bit to begin with but then I loved how he and Sophie progressed . I didn’t see the plot twist then another ! So great ending not saying more than that ! Persevere like I did and you will be rewarded.

Absolutely fantastic!

This is the best book I have read this year by far, I was literally sat on the edge of my seat reading it! The story just flows and grips the reader. There's just so many things I want to say about this book but don't want to spoil it for others. All I can say is if you don't read it your missing out! Can't wait to read the follow up, a very very easy five stars!

It took me a while to settle into this book and it wasn't anything to do with how the book was written. After a slow start, the story picked up and we see two sides to Jack, the tough criminal and the softer caring which are a combination of his parents. It's a great debut by Daniel Glennon and I certainly would read his next book.

Interesting high pack read!

This book keeps you guessing! I love the mystery as many chapters leave you wanting to know what happens next especially with The main character. It shows what a person will do for love and their family. I enjoyed the genre and topic.

Great read

Young man, growing up poor, on a counsel estate, has an interesting life. He was really good at football, but was beaten up so badly, he could never play again. He and his so called best buddy, get in the drug business. Makes a lot of money, but can trust no one.
