An alien assassin. A forgotten human. A planet determined to claim them both.
Since being kidnapped from Earth, Hanna has been treated as little more than a performing animal. Her latest indignity is being displayed in a cage in a seedy bar. When a massive alien warrior stops to examine her, she expects the worst.
To her shock, the warrior frees her instead. Scared and alone, she doesn't hesitate to turn to him. But there are more surprises to come...
Aidon is running out of time. Although eliminating galactic scum is a profitable occupation, it takes a toll on his unique skills. He needs to return to his planet immediately. Acquiring a human female, no matter how tempting, was not in his plans. Yet now that he has her, how can he let her go?
She looks at him so trustingly – but his planet is a dangerous place, and she's about to find out he's the biggest predator of them all.
Each book in the Alien Abduction series can be read as a standalone romance. This sweet and steamy romance is intended for a mature audience only.
I liked it for the most part I guess...but there were some problems.
In this sci-fi romance we have--Aidon, our alien hitman, who has just completed his mission on a freezing back world and needs to get off planet fast. However, when something catches his eye (and nose) he finds himself face to face with a caged human named Hanna. Not able to walk away with out helping her- he buys her, but then turns around and declares her free.
Not knowing what to do on this inhospitable planet, Hanna makes the decision to stick to this big alien like glue. Because despite her pervious encounters- she unwittingly trusts her alien savior, and will do whatever it takes to stay by his side.
×----------------------------------------×
So I guess my problem was that the main couple kind of fell for one another and were getting in on in literally one day...and Hanna's unwavering trust and clingyness from jump was just something you had to roll with even if it didn't make a whole lot of sense.
“Then it’s fine,” she said immediately. “I know Aidon would never let anything happen to me.”
My notes were like: Damn girl you've known him for legit an hour or two. But that may be because I like a little bit of a slow build in my romances?
Also, I don't know if it's just me but
So recommend? I dunno. Its short and relatively sexy so if you have KU then maybe?
But will say I did like the shape shifting abilities the H had. So kudos for a cool concept.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
Another human female was abducted and destined for slavery when a considerate and compassionate alien male saved her. And while we've all heard this story before, this one felt different. I love how this author gives her own unique take on every book I've read. Aidon was magnificent and Hanna was a peach. I loved the idea of this shapeshifter alien who felt exiled from his own planet only to need his planet in order to survive. I loved how Hanna was able to adapt to her new life and put her trust in the perfect alien for her. I even loved the family dynamic between the characters. I enjoyed it all and this story was more evidence of why I'm still reading this series.
Found heroine too accepting of everything in the beginning. Almost dnf. She willingly dressed in skimpy/barely there clothes.. went to an alien party/orgy and then gave guy she just met bj in front of everyone?!? Wtf.. hero allowed/enjoyed it - supposedly caring about her?!? Then he is shocked when enemy demands her sexually... duh... Plus, who would want to be intimate for the first time - especially with someone u care about- in public -among rapists, slaves, and horrible beings.. nothing like watching helpless women being violently assaulted to make u want to have oral...wtf.... just didn't fly with me..

I skipped the last few books but I was curious after reading this blurb if it would work for me. Glad to say it did. The romance was more focused on the emotional than sexual (but don’t get me wrong lots o’ sex abounds). Yes there’s still a dependence on sex to fill some lulls but overall I liked their relationship and it is truly standalone, no need to read earlier books to enjoy this one. If you’re into alien sci-fi rom, you may enjoy this.
Seeing as how humans are an exotic commodity in this section of the universe and aren't treated all that well overall, Hanna makes a solid choice when she goes with her gut and asks Aidon for help. For all he's a hitman and comes from a pretty secretive race of people, he's a good guy underneath and he's not willing to let her suffer when he can do something about it.
For his part, Aidon takes his own risk in bringing Hanna with him. The secrets his people keep coupled with his need to go back to his planet to recharge (or however you want to put it) leads to some interesting developments while traveling. Interesting, sexy developments. Yesssssss.
Considering Hanna's all in with helping him take the edge off and she just generally likes the guy (not to mention she finally found a place she feels safe), things work out nicely for both parties. Sure, sure, Aidon's playing a few cards close to the vest when it comes to mating and all that, but he has his reasons. And once things get straightened out, they're all systems go!
Abducted humans, snarly aliens, dangerous planets, and family. Good stuff all around!
Aidon is an assassin. A hitman for hire. On his way to his ship, he passes a shop and smells the most luscious scent. When the owner of the establishment pokes a hairy animal in the cage hanging in the front of the door, Aidon sees that it's a human female. He purchases her and tries to set her free. Hanna then begs to go with him. She only feels safe with him. Follow their adventures. This story has laughs, adventure, and true love. Beautiful love scenes. Guaranteed HEA. "I love this book!"

I enjoyed this book. The hero was unique and I liked how she also tried to help him and save him from his illness.
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER S P O I L E R S.................. Hero can shapeshift his entire body. So he is a hitman and can imitate anyone and look like any other alien race. But he has to return home every few years and eat a particular fruit or he gets really sick and could die.
Hero is sick for days and heroine has to help him survive. It helps if she is close to him.
I really enjoyed this book. I got it as a deal from Amazon. Now I want to read the rest of the series. There were a few typos but not enough to drive me nuts. The story was engaging. I liked the world where our hero came from. There was one weird part where the author went back in time a few hours and shared the other character's POV. It didn't flow correctly but this was a one time thing I was able to get past.
Every book so far in this series has been a hit (pun only slightly intended) and this one did not in anyway disappoint. I love the way that Phillips creates worlds and builds characters so uniquely and yet in a way that is so easily identifiable. An absolute joy to read.
Loved it! A sci-fi romance with plenty of heat. Aidon has a really cool ability. He is able to change his appearance into several different alien species. This comes in handy as he is an assassin. Hanna is a florist. She never would of guess it would lead to her being a slave on an alien planet. The story has plenty of adventure. From one dangerous adventure to the next. And things do heat up quite a bit. I loved Hanna’s character. She never gives up and doesn’t break down.
Brilliant story. I loved Aidon and Hanna. I adored Aidon’s protectiveness and his alpha yet attentive nature. Hanna was a strong and good to the core. Recommend
Fan-freaking-tastic! My favorite trope is female lead in a desperate situation and the alpha male saves her. Aidon does a good deed, but has no designs on keeping Hanna. Right off the bat this book starts with action. I just love it when stuff blows up and the bad guys get their due. (Honey rocked that in this book!!) I had a running commentary on my names for each of the chapters of this book. See if you can figure out which one was "Sexy Times and the Advantages of Shifting 101." I have loved this series by Honey and this story is one of my TOP favorites!
Hanna, in the book, seemed a bit timid, but that was her personality. She flourished when someone believed in her. I wouldn't call her weak. We all can't be Liz from Ice Planet Barbarians! Hanna was one to count her blessings, though they be few, and she had a quiet strength. Also, Aidon was a strong, but flawed hero in this story. This book has a complex plot with a strong male that has a weakness, a hurt from his youth, that keeps him from seeing the truth. I really liked seeing that because it's very relatable!
A little side note - in the beginning Hanna meets a character named Khuda. She says Khuda reminds her of a prairie dog. I'm already wondering what happens to Khuda and Khira and thinking of a novella featuring them. If only I wrote!
If you're a fan of Ruby Dixon and the Ice Planet Barbarians, you will find several references. Plus if you love Ruby, you will LOVE Honey Phillips if you haven't read her before. There's really so much more I could say about this story. (I was very fortunate to beta read it.) I will reiterate that Hanna and the Hitman is FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC!! 5 million stars!
Quick Summary While out picking flowers, Hanna is kidnapped by alien slavers and sold as an exotic pet. She’s alone in a new world, scared and confused. But a chance encounter with mercenary killer for hire, Aidon, changes her fate.
Aidon knows to keep his head down and only care for himself. His work is solitary and too dangerous for anything else. But one look at the little red-headed human and he can’t ignore his protective instincts. Freeing her was supposed to be the one and only interaction between them but Hanna easily burrows into his hardened heart with her guilelessness and trust.
He agrees to take her with him but only so far as to find her a safe human friendly place to stay. Aidon knows his profession and the ties to his home planet would break someone as fragile as Hanna but Hanna isn’t so convinced. Aidon makes her feel safe and like she matters. She sees past Aidon’s gruff exterior to the strong protector he really is.
Their battle of wills will determine who breaks first.
🖤 ~ My Thoughts ~ 🖤 Sci-Fi alien romance is my guilty pleasure and Hanna and the Hitman is a perfect example of the crazy I like so much when I read this genre.
I love the outlandish over the top imagination that the authors explore when writing about unique worlds, people, species and cultures.
That alone is entertaining but throw in a cute romance? Yup, I’m done for.
Hanna was a cute heroine, she was sweet and trusting and brought out the softer side of Aidon. While he was always protective and super sweet with his heroine, Aidon grew up being bullied and treated differently for his own half breed status. His parents failed mating and long held resentment of his reserved grandfather come into play as he and Hanna grew closer and closer together.
This was a cute fast paced romance with some action, plenty of romance and two MCs that I really really liked :) There is some angst but it wasn’t drawn out or blown out of proportion. I would recommend if you love gruff alien heroes and sweet likable heroines.
Heat Level: 4/5
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
One not my favorite series is back and better than ever!💖 so freaking delicious!
Aidon is a human who can change his appearance at will. It he!ps him do his job and makes him more than a little bit deadly. He's on Hothrest to finish a job and he has to get home before the changing sickness takes hold. It's something that happens to every Pardorian he hates and resents the chains his home world has on him. On his way back to his ship he walks by a bar and smells something floral that reminds him of more pleasant experiences of home and he sees a woman hanging in a cage. He knows he need to get out but he can't leave her there so he buys her freedom with the intention of letting her go. Hanna, beautiful, compassionate and although doesn't seem to brave she is. She's willing to do what ever it takes to help herself and anyone else she cares about. When the huge alien warrior buys her freedom she's grateful. She just wants to get off the planet. One minute she's a florist on Earth the next she wakes up in a cage and is sold into a life of slavery. This stranger is the first to show her any kindness and his fierce defence of her earns her trust. Before they can leave the planet they are force to help a few of the elders of Hothrest and it a very dangerous mission. This mission draws both Hanna and Aidon closer, passion ignites and destinies unite. Just when one adventure seems to end another begins. The changing sickness become unbearable, Aidon not only needs Hanna but wants her as well. He just doesn't want to condemn her to a life chained to his planet. But he just return of die . Hanna has no intention of leaving him and no matter the dangers falls as much in love with his planet and she does him. This story is soooooo good. Both characters have off the charts chemistry form the very start. They bring out the best in each other and help each other heal from old wounds. Well worth the wait but I'm so happy for her I won't have too wait long for another return trip to my favorite series. Thank you Honey Phillips for giving me a few hours to lose myself in fantastic world building, compelling characters and passionate stories that always end to soon.💖💖💖💖💖
𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐑𝐓 𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐖/𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒: Super excited for a deeper look into Pardor! We know Precious from previous books, a Pardorian War Beast. And I was so excited to see the world where she comes from, it's people, everything! They're all so similar in their features and abilities, I loved it! And we got a new War Beast addition to the series - Trouble! I really enjoyed this one and I loved how Aidon finally could finally be himself, and finally be happy. I love the dynamic of Aidon and Hanna. How his true self was hidden, how he hated who he was, and lived this life of disguises away from his home-world. And Hanna loved him for himself, and didn't want those disguises, and really helped him to accept and love himself as well as his planet and his grandfather and people. I found it very special! I loved how Hanna was brave at times yet admittedly scared and understanding of her limits at other times. It was very realistic. I really enjoyed this story! Also, totally love the whole animalistic bit with Aidon and their mating, and his biting Hanna to mark and bond with her. It was super sexy!
I loved this book. Aidon is on a mission when he spurs Hanna a human female who's been abducted from earth naked in a cage. Reluctantly he buys her and sets her free but Hanna has no skills or ability to care for herself on this alien planet. Trusting her guy she chooses to cling to Aidon so he takes her along on his mission. Now yrs it might be unrealistic that Hanna trusted him implicitly right away and was willing to do whatever it took to stay with him, however in her circumstances she had very little option and sometimes u just get that instant connection with someone which I like to believe happened here. Once in his ship he suffers a sickness needing to get back to his planet while having exiled himself from it years ago due to childhood trauma. Hanna Durant know what to do to help so upon landing and exiting ship inadvertently finds help. Many things ensue with this well developed plot that deals with childhood issues, forgiveness, acceptance, belonging, feeling different and so much more. Brilliantly handled Hanna growing ever closer to Aidon might just be the bridge needed to heal everyone but Aidon keeps trying to protect her tries pushing her away. Beautifully described world's, richly developed characters, plenty of heat and danger to make this a wonderful read.

Thank you for this book, Honey! I really enjoyed it, primarily because it wasn't quite as somber and heavy as some of her previous titles (Cyborgs, Cire, etc.). I really wish more sci-fi romance authors would give us 1) heroines who haven't endured years of abuse, and 2) stories with overall a bit less violence.
Hanna was so likable, kind and gentle, and she immediately knew Aidon wouldn't hurt her. She stuck to him pretty tenaciously even though he wasn't planning to take her with him at the beginning. Aidon, poor misguided but protective guy. I just wanted to hug him, shake him, then hug him some more. His misunderstanding of some life events in his past really hurt him. And he was so stubbornly self-sacrificing of his own happiness, but Hanna hung with him through everything.
This story had a slightly different feel than the others in the Alien Abduction series, a little more intimate, maybe because there were fewer characters except for the beginning and end chapters, and also the hero goes through a real emotional journey. It's going in my re-read collection on my kindle. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Hanna had been abducted from Earth and then treated as if she were some kind of performing animal. Her latest home is to be on display in a cage outside of a seedy bar. When the massive alien warrior stops to see her she imagines the worst. To her shock, the warrior frees her but alone and scared she turns to him as her only refuge. Aidon is a hitman who eliminated galactic scum but he is running out of time and needs to return to his planet immediately. Certainly, acquiring Hanna was not in his plans but now he has her can he let her go especially when his home planet is so very dangerous?
I enjoyed this story with the jeopardy of his need to return home, the dangerous flora and fauna there as well as ancient misunderstandings that needed to be resolved. I thought that she was exactly what and who he needed he just needed to have a clear head and do the right thing. I loved some of the drama and danger as well as a few of the friendships that were formed in dangerous circumstances. Easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.
This was a wonderful story. Still in the same world but a couple of new planets and new people. I love the story when she saves him as much as he saves her. Our hitman was a quite a guy. This story has lots of action. He finds Hanna on the planet he just made a hit on. Its a cold icy crappie planet. Poor thing is naked in a cage hanging in front of a bar. He finds her by scent. You know he's a goner even though he fights it. He ends up picking up another job that he was blackmailed into doing. They find the den of iniquity where the girl they search for is being held. There are horrors in every room. He is actually asked to meet the guy they are looking for. Needless to say the story just takes off there. There are fights, fires, explosions and narrow escapes. All ends at his home world of a jungle planet. There starts more deeply into the story. It was great. Kept my attention glued. Finished the book in one day. Can't wait to start the next. Enjoy! Kathy
I always enjoy a trip to these worlds ! In this book Hannah, is a human abducted and sold to a barkeep on a cold planet. She is kept in a cage to entice customers , but how is she supposed to do that when she is freezing ??? One day , a stranger wanders by, and she feels her curiosity piqued. Aidon, is just finishing up a mission when he wanders down the street . Not knowing that his life is about to change. He doesn't even know Why he is there... He REALLY needs to go back to his home planet , before something terrible happens to him . The , ' sickness ' might take him over , and he needs to avoid that as much as possible . But he doesn't. And that is how their story begins . This was a lovely read, and I didn't think that you needed to read the previous books. I enjoyed the descriptions of the cold planet as well as the jungle planet and how the book comes together. As Always , I enjoy this Author !!
**No Spoiler Review** Aidon the Hitman is a Paradorian assassin who moves from planet meeting justice. He's one of the best there is. While on an assignment he comes across an exotic little creature in a cage with amazing blue eyes and as much as he isn't in the business of saving slaves he is drawn to her. Hanna is a florist from earth, one day whilst picking wild flowers she suddenly wakes up on an alien ship and before she knows it she's naked in a cage. She locks eyes with Aidon and pleads for his help. They return to Aidons home world but danger follows them. Honey Phillips does it again, she creates a fully imersive and believable alien universe. The sex varies from sweet and romantic to hot and naughty.

I really love this series. The women aren't simpering indecisive damsels in distress, nor are the men unfeeling overbearing cavemen. Oh they may still need rescuing and he's still so masculine his dick size is definitely fictional BUT the leading man does have feelings and insecurities too. The leading lady isn't "too stupid to live", and they don't spend the entire story making stupid decisions so the plot can move on. It what makes even the most fantastical sci-fi story by this author so much more relatable. Honey Phillips can drop me in any crazy scenario and I can atill understand the lead couple and jump into the experience with them. I hate reading for escape and having to overlook inconsistent or irritating behaviour. I never get that with this series. Can't wait to get stuck into the next one!
Hanna and the Hitman: Alien Abduction Book 8 By Honey Phillips Aidon an assassin. On his way, he sees a human female in a cage and for some reason, he decided to buy her. One minute Hannah was gathering wild roses by the lakeshore, and the next, she had woken up naked and confined in a small cage. I liked this couple. I recommend the series be read in order even though there isn't a big crossover with characters. But evens happen in other books that are mentioned in later books so to understand what they are talking about or how it affects the books later on I would read the books in order. Alien Abduction romance: Beth and the Barbarian Cam and the Conqueror Deb and the Demon Ella and the Emperor: Faith and the Fighter Greta and the Gargoyle Hanna and the Hitman Izzie and the Icebeast Joan and the Juggernaut - Sep 24, 2020.
I liked the beginning. Unlike other readers, I didn't find her clingy behavior annoying because she was like in survivor mode, I think. However, I didn't enjoy the orgy club descriptions, too depressing a place to become intimate. I like my SFR a little on the dark side sometimes, but not gratuitously, it has to have emotional impact - here it only serves to indulge some readers' (and maybe the author's?) kinks, not to show any character development.
Finally, insta-lust is not usually my thing but it doesn't ruin a story for me, however, here it's pretty weird and absurd since she's aware that she doesn't even know how he really looks like! LMAO. The guy changes his appearance a couple of times and she still gives him a bj after knowing him for a couple of hours?! 😳 Girl, you don't even know if his true self looks like Jabba the Hutt...
Top notch entertainment! I adore Hanna! She may appear a bit weak and clingy at first, but she is drawn to an apex predator (others may try to take him down. They don’t succeed). THAT is living dangerously. Also, she is able to overcome her fears and act to protect herself (and others) in spite of it. Bravery and strength of purpose; she has them both. Aidon, her dangerous male, is very stubborn and determined not to fall for Hanna. He has conflicts / issues. I love watching their relationship change dramatically. It’s a super hot romance filled with thrilling adventures. There are a number of side characters that I’ve become very fond of - I’d love to see more of them in the future. Such good reading!
Series: Alien Abduction #8 Rating: 3 stars - I liked it
Hanna was abducted from Earth and sold as a slave. She is caged in a seedy bar until an alien assassin rescues her. Aidon and Hanna had a very fast past, fated mates, instant-love relationship. She falls for him almost as soon as he rescues her. I liked that Hanna pushed Aidon to make peace with his grandfather and try to see things from his POV, not with his childhood feelings. Aidon was a very interesting alien because he could change shape, which made him a very good assassin. I liked learning about his world and species a lot. Overall, this was a fast paced and good alien abduction romance. I probably will continue reading this series.
