The Anarchist: Book 3 of the Godsfall Chronicles

Rate this book
After undergoing the most brutal training regime which the Elysian city of Skycloud had to offer, Cloudhawk had finally found a semblance of peace for perhaps the first time in his life. Now a respected junior demon hunter, it seemed as though Cloudhawk was going to enjoy the good life, albeit under the watchful eyes of the many who distrusted this jumped-up wastelander. Unfortunately, man proposes while fate disposes. All is not well, in either Skycloud or in the wastelands. Cults have arisen throughout the lands, while the hidden powers of the wastes have begun to stir. The Dark Atom, the Crimson Church, the agents of demons; all of them are hungrily eyeing the wealth which Skycloud has so jealously monopolized for centuries. Anarchy is brewing, and as usual the unlucky Cloudhawk has been sent straight into the heart of it. Will he stand by the Elysian lands he has come to call home, even though many still hate and fear him? Or shall he support the anarchists who hail from the wastes that birthed him?

Great storytelling

The author begins to unfold the secrets of this post apocalyptic world. There are very few truly happy moments in this novel, and each moment of sorrow seems to lead to another. Ultimately cloudhawk finally begins to make decisions instead of just reacting to his circumstances. Can’t want to read the next one.

Good Book

This series since book 1 has kept me enraptured, there might be some parts where the author over explains things but it is small details, overall the quality and plot is good.

Good Read, Discrepancies

The translator struggled to keep names of characters from previous books straight in this volume which was distracting. Otherwise a good read
