I’m a cop and I know how tough life can be.

Emma seemed like a nice girl when I met her on duty one night. She had a bit of a problem in a bar and one thing led to another.

I had no intentions of seeing her again but when I bumped into her in the hospital where she works I kind of changed my mind.

I’m a doctor at the local hospital but things are tough.

I look after my little sister Charlie and along with a stressful job she can be a handful at times.

Of course I enjoy hooking up with guys, but it can only ever be for a night. I have to try to protect my sister and be a good example to her.

But then there’s Jaxon, the cop who I slept with.

He is just about as perfect as any man I would want, but can I really allow myself and Charlie to get attached to him?

But Charlie being an 8-year-old, she knows how to manipulate a situation and get what she wants.

I’m going to have to break it off with him for Charlie’s sake. I just hope that I can get over him when I do.

Soy policía y sé lo dura que puede ser la vida.
Mi mejor amigo murió en el cumplimiento del deber y mi hermana está ahora sola.

No hay manera de que vaya a desperdiciar un segundo de mi vida cuando todo podría ser tan corto. Tengo la intención de vivirla al máximo.

Bien, hay momentos en los que puedo parecer imprudente, pero eso es sólo una válvula. Necesito desahogarme de alguna manera.

Emma parecía una buena chica cuando la conocí una noche en el trabajo.

Tuvo un pequeño problema en un bar y una cosa llevó a la otra.

No tenía intenciones de volver a verla, pero cuando me encontré con ella en el hospital donde trabaja, cambié de opinión.

Esta fue una lectura rápida como las anteriores de Sarah Taylor pero de nuevo linda para leer y engancha.

Tiene un poco de drama, acción, pasión candente, una pareja con gran química y una niña adorable...

No podía dejar de leer!

Jaxon and Emma

Jaxon met Emma on a call to a disturbance at a bar where he stopped a fight from happening between her and a biker. Then she and Jaxon had a one night stand. Neither one of them knew that they would want more. But they did.

They both had reasons from what happened in their past to not want to commit to their feelings, especially Emma. She was guardian to her sisters kid Charlie. And his best friend died in the line of duty.

So he moved to live near his sister and took a job at the police station where she lives. He got a call that his sister was in the hospital and went to see her and who did he bump into but Emma. She was his sisters doctor.

One day he had to check out a 911 call and it took him right to Emma's address. Her sister Charlie called the police department. She was trying to get information about Jaxon to get the two of them together. She was a quick study for an eight year old, and she wanted her sister to be happy.

A few days later the station got another 911 call that got disconnected and Jaxon was sent to see what was going on. He found the broken glass around the house and that biker in the back yard. So Jaxon knocked him out and arrested him.
After that he went and told Emma how much he cared about her and Charlie and Emma finally gave in. Eight months later they were picking out paint for Charlie's new room in their new house.

I loved this story and the characters in it. Sarah Taylor has a great way of making you feel like they could be your friends and draws you in right from the start. Awesome Sarah. FIVE HUGE STARS.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Jaxon and Emma. Jaxon is a cop and recently moved to be closer to his sister after his partner died in the line of duty. Jaxon's partner was dating his sister and Jaxon felt he needed to take care of her, but she is now in love again and expecting a baby. When Jaxon is given a call about a fight at a bar, he meets Emma, a young woman who was fighting with a biker. Emma and Jaxon had an instant connection and they couldn't control themselves, but Emma left and never told Jaxon how to find her. Jaxon can't stop thinking about Emma and when they meet again, he wants to ask her out, but she made it clear she can't be with him. Emma thinks she can't have a relationship because of a personal commitment and she really wishes things were different. I liked Jaxon. He thought he was okay being alone as long as his sister was cared for, but he was lonely. I like how he was protective of Emma, even if they couldn't be together. Good one.

Este tercer libro de la saga se centra en Jaxon, policía y hermano de Olivia (protagonista del libro anterior), y Emma, una doctora que se encarga de cuidar a su media hermana pequeña. Jaxon y Emma se conocen en un bar y tienen una aventura, él quiere volver a verla, pero ella no quiere tener una relación.

Este libro me gustó más que el anterior, me agradaron bastante los protagonistas, conecté con ellos. Los sentí más real.

Y así como en las historias anteriores, hay spicy, romance, un poco de drama y también la aparición de una niña dulce.

Jaxon, Emma & Charlie

Jaxon is a police officer and recently moved to town to be closer to his sister Olivia, who is expecting. After the loss of his best friend and fellow officer, he too needed a fresh start.

On a call he meets Emma - the minute their eyes meet, their is a connection that neither can explain. After a brief moment together, they are all the other can think of.

Jaxon meets Emma the next day and discovers that she is his sister's doctor. She tells him that they can't see each other any further because she has to take care of her 8 year old sister Charlie.

This was a great short read, that you must add to your library! Read to see how Charlie brings them all to their happily ever after!

When Jaxon gets called to a bar to protect a woman from a biker, one thing leads to another and he and the woman hook up for a one-time fling. But this time is different. Jaxon can’t stop thinking about her. Emma cares for her 8-year-old sister, Charlie, so she is extra careful about getting serious with someone. When they end up meeting again, however, can Jaxon convince Emma that they should take a chance on each other?

This was a good story line and I liked the characters. Grab your copy and see if they can both stop holding their own lives back and allow themselves to fall in love.

Complete with You was a quick read that grabbed you at page one. Jaxon and Emma had chemistry that was off the charts hot. Jaxon is a cop still grieving the loss of his best friend and his sister's fiancee. He meets Emma when he gets called to a disturbance at the local bar. Despite their mutual attraction, Emma is determined to push Jaxon away. Emma has devoted her life to raising her sister Charlie and she refuses to risk Charlie getting attached only to be hurt again. Will Jaxon be able to convince Emma to give them a chance? Oh and its impossible not to love Charlie. She was so adorable.

Wow. What a fantastic story! Emma is a feisty firecracker & Jaxon is a hot police officer who is fairly new to town. This book is expertly crafted with raw and real characters who have off the charts chemistry and burn you to the ground feels. Be sure to read this book (#3 in Sarah’s “Big Hot Heroes” series.) I was given an advanced copy of this book in return for an honest review. I recommend this fast paced short story.

Rookie

Even though he's been a cop for a long time starting out in a new city ,you start over as a newbie...lol shes a Dr and needs to cut loose every once in a while, she's taking care of her 8yrs old sister. They kept running into each other but she kept sending him away. So he gives her space and waits for her.
It takes someone trying to break in her house and wise words from her sister to take a chance.

The author has given us characters we can care about. Both Jaxon and Emma each have issues from their past. However, they also have an instant attraction that they give into once. No matter how much they try to fight it, the memories will not let go.

This is a short story with two people unwilling to have more than one night. But when they cross paths again and they can't stop thinking about each other, it's hard to resist. Emma has reservations but I love the depth of the characters and how they each have their own reasoning. It's up to Jaxon though and that had me swooning.

A great book

Emma and Jaxon made such a good couple. It took Emma long enough to let Jaxon into her life. She's a doctor and cares for her little sister. Sad explanation about her young life, poor kid. Read this story you won't regret it. Written by Cindy :)
