We are introduced to Ran parents and finally, her past is revealed to Akira. Even though she always was a brilliant student, she wasn’t always solitary as she was at the beginning of the series. She seemed to be the center of attention but eventually, people turned their backs on her. She ended up feeling lonely and never had someone to talk to, but she acted like everything was okay and never talk about it to anyone which made her depressed. I’m a tiny bit confused because after Ran’s dad said that something already happened to Ran because of a boy, I thought the said boy, which we learn later on is called Mochizuki, would be much more involved than he was. But I still loved learning about her background, even though it is a little bit cliché, Ran is one of my favorite shojo character and I was never annoyed by her which is surprising since cliché things tend to annoy me.
As usual, Akira is the cutest. Like the perfect MC, he showed that he wasn’t like other guys, he was seeing her like a normal girl and not like this perfect person that everyone seems to portray.
This volume started off strong, it was almost, almost perfect. Why, out of the blue, introduce another girl who, of course is in love with Akira in order to stir their relationship? Whyyyy?! And of course she knows Akira way before Ran met him and she, like her, knows he is the son of florists and she helped him at the shop. Ran thought she was the only that shared this kind of things with him and yet. That’s the kind of thing I hate so bad in manga. Nanami is actually the one going on my nerves, she is pointless, doesn’t add anything to the manga whatsoever, it creates more drama and tension for nothing.
