You would think that person who spent three days reading those 6k pages could give it more than 1 star, but this is me you are talking about - a person who can waste 3 days of their life on a book they don't like...

I absolutely love this 579 chapter long novel and I have reread it about 50 times now. I will say that the pacing in the beginning is a little wonky but I found the lead up to the introduction of the ML to be interesting, even if it took a while. The middle of the story introduces some court and family drama which I normally do not care for but the writing and characters kept me engaged and excited. The romance between Ling Zhang and Yuwen Tong is legendary and a favorite of mine! I would definitely read this on Flying Lines because that has the best edit and translation.
