Finding her father had been all she had ever wanted, but can he truly live up to her childhood daydreams?

Going to the Underworld was the best way Freya could see to stop Lord Uther, but that would also mean finally meeting her father.

Something she had been avoiding for years.

Now with the man finally in front of her, will she regret her wasted time? With Lord Uther out for blood, Freya's not sure that she'll even get the chance to know...

QUEEN is the eleventh book in the Freya Snow urban fantasy series.

Some say she's an ancient creature of nightmare that was unleashed from beneath the ocean, come to devour the souls of men. Others say that she's a cosmic being from the beyond the stars that has taken corporeal form to learn our ways for some unknown end...

In truth, L.C. Mawson lives in a tower in the middle of a haunted forest, far from civilisation and is definitely not a witch who curses those who trespass upon her land. And she definitely cannot turn into a dragon that flies over cities in the dead of night and whose cries are often mistaken for an approaching storm. Where did you hear that? That's absurd...

The only contact she has with humanity is publishing books every so often, which is definitely just for fun and not part of an ancient contract with a trickster god.

Freya Snow traveled to the underworld to stop Lord Uther, but then she found out that she was the daughter of the King. She wants to continue to hide from her father, but it is becoming increasingly difficult to do so when they keep running into each other due to Uther causing trouble. Also, Damon decides that he is going to marry Freya. When she marries him, he is given the tattoo of a Demon without a house. Freya wants him to have a house, but he cannot do that until she and her father meet face to face.

This series continues to get more and more detailed as the books go on, and I absolutely love the world expansion in this novel! Freya and Damon also become closer in this novel as they are married. Freya feels like she is no longer alone when she has both her father, her friends, and Damon's family. This was something that she had struggled with since the beginning of the series, so I truly felt as if I had seen her grow. Damon is also learning more about his past, and what his father did to his mother and what happened to her. It is sad to learn, but it is important for his character, and it adds a new layer to Mawson's storyline.

Even though things are going well for her, she still has to struggle between deciding to become a Light Angel or a Dark Angel. It is easier for her to be Dark, but she doesn't want to be known as a Dark Angel.

The pacing of this novel was still as fast as I like, but the novel itself was longer so it took me a little longer to get through it. The worldbuilding was exciting as Freya has finally gone from spending her time in the regular world to spending her time in the Underworld! There were no editing errors, and it was just an overall smooth story.

I would recommend this series to anyone looking for a new fantasy YA/NA story!

I received an advanced copy of this book and this is my voluntary review.

I have adored every single book in LC Mawson’s marvelous Freya Snow, and Queen - it’s 11th book - is no exception This is a wonderful story and easily worth five stars. It had just what I wanted, was well written, with excellent world building and a great plot. It’s lead Freya continues to astound as she grows in knowledge and understanding of the Underworld. At the same time it’s cast of supporting characters (wonderful Damon, almost equally great characters like Caroline and Gregor) are simply superb. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises - the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, with the caveat that while you could read this standalone you’re much better starting off from book 1 of the series.

This book is easy to highly recommend.

This latest book in the Freya Snow series tells the story of Freya's trip to the Underworld to meet her father, King Edric. It's a good book, and if you're reading the series you'll be interested to see what happens. And with only two books left in the series, I'm looking forward to seeing what happens to Freya and her friends and family, both in the real world (on Earth and in the Underworld) and the Shadow Realm.
NB I received a complimentary copy of this book, but I always give an HONEST review based wholly on my own opinions

Another great installment of the Freya Snow series! There’s always more of the world to discover with every new book, which I love. Seeing Freya explore this new environment, both physically and socially, was very enjoyable, and I loved the interpersonal tension. This had a lot of what I’ve come to expect from Mawson at this point: wonderful worldbuilding, rich character interactions, intriguing tension, and more. Absolutely would recommend.

I’ve received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

By far the best Snowverse tale to date. Freya grows in knowledge and understanding of the Underworld. Damon is willing to do whatever she wants.. Caroline and Gregor are her staunch supporters.
