Book 1 - A Mate for the Christmas Dragon
Because of a curse, Jasper has until his 25th Birthday to find his mate. He arrives home on a bus, he didn't drive because he didn't see the point. Without his mate, by the end of the week, he would be either human or a dragon not both as he is now.
Things would change quickly for him, he just has to win his mate before the deadline.
Abigail hates Christmas, working at the toy store for a boss who doesn't appreciate everything his staff does, hardly inspires loyalty. It's as she's retrieving a stuffed kitten from the rooftop Christmas display that we see not only Mr. Bell's nature but also the way she meets Jasper.
Finding his mate was one thing, but there's another issue, Jasper is the Christmas Dragon. He's all about Christmas the giving and the joy. With Abigail not liking Christmas at all he has his work cut out for him.
Abigail isn't sure what it is about Jasper that has her all in knots, but she's definitely falling for him.
The dates are perfect as he slowly knocks down the walls around Abigail's heart.
I loved this story, the Christmas spirit, the laughter, the love, the romance and of course the sizzle.
Book 2 - Christmas Hellhound
Caine Guinness lost everything when he was attacked and turned into a hellhound a year ago. Now all he wants is to get rid of his hellhound and he's heard that the Dragons that reside in Pine Valley may be able to help him do just that. What he doesn't realize is that there are others like him around causing havoc this Christmas. He's rented a cottage far from others, not taking any chances on hurting anyone. He has his recurring nightmare and wakes to hear barking and then a woman screaming.
Meaghan found the stolen sleigh and the dogs from Puppy Express, and the dogs are very excited to see her. She's struggling trying to get them to subside when Caine finds her. While he's relieved, she is furious. After a near disaster with the sleigh, Meaghan gets him locked into her truck with the dogs and drives back to Puppy Express. All very proud of herself.
Instead of appreciation she gets yelled at not only because Caine wasn't one of the thieves but also because of the danger she put herself in. Her punishment is to get Caine clothes from the gift shop and to take him to dinner.
On the way to town Meaghan apologizes and explains what's been going on. She's really determined that Christmas is not ruined by everything that's been happening.
Caine figures the best thing he can do is help her when he realizes that hellhounds are responsible for everything.
After dinner on the drive to his cottage, he gets a lot more information on the damage that has been done and also the tidbit that there are property investors interested in the area. Unfortunately, that sounds way too familiar to him.
I love the way this plays out as Caine not only helps the dragons but also romances his mate Meaghan.
There's laughter, tears, suspense on top of the romance and that touch of sizzle.
Book 3 - Christmas Pegasus
Ever since the Hellhounds stole the sleigh and the dogs, Ollie has been more reclusive and suspicious. She's also missing Jackson. The deputy left Pine Valley right after Christmas and Ollie's rejection of him and hasn't returned.
Jackson has been missing Ollie as well, but if they aren't fated mates, he believes she should have the opportunity to move on from him and find her happiness.
Now Ollie's owl isn't talking but there was something strange the night her and Jackson tried for the mate bond they were both sure was there. Her owl also knows something Ollie doesn't and isn't sharing.
Jackson is returning to Pine Valley to sell the house he bought for him and Ollie. Unfortunately, he arrives when the entire shifter population is celebrating Yule at Puppy Express. His opportunity to talk to Ollie is also interrupted by an unpleasant surprise. It seems his father has tracked him down to talk to him, but arrives drunk and disorderly, collapsing the outdoor party tent.
What makes this book hysterical is that Ollie's Owl thinks that Jackson's father is her mate. When in actuality Jackson is going to go through his fledging as a Pegasus matures far later than most shifters.
There are some interesting developments with the Hellhounds that are hysterical and annoying for some.
I laughed, cried, laughed some more, and rolled my eyes at the Owl's antics in avoidance. This is truly a fun addition to this series.

I found this collection discounted via The Fussy Librarian; total of 4 stars
A bit of mystery, lots of romance and sexy parts, and many problems to solve. Nothing is easy but there is no drama (and sometimes you just have to slap your forehead).
#1 A Mate for the Christmas Dragon {Jasper & Abigail} - I loved how the author showed that it's really important for someone special to accept gifts, and what their hoard meant to a dragon. Jasper's hoard was to the point and no one should have been surprised but I still laughed out loud. I'm not sure if anyone noticed but they forgot Abigail's gifts in her snow-drowned car.
#2 Christmas Hellhound {Caine & Meaghan} - There are triggers all through and that was a bit difficult; apart from all that the story is still great. I loved Caine's hellhound and how it was smug (as an alpha) and confused by Caine's gift of mud water to Meaghan.
#3 Christmas Pegasus {Jackson & Olly} - I really think Jackson should give his Pegasus a name, a glittery name. The whole scene with the first shift and the Pegasus' joy is hilarious. I'm not sure I can believe Olly actually forgot the ring multiple times when she almost lost her life about it.

I'd already read the first one of these. Enjoyed the other two, although couldn't fathom why Jackson didn't think about the possibility that the winged mate his Pegasus was fixed on could be Olly.
I really liked how the hellhounds and the huskies were all super protective of Meaghan since she fell pregnant, that's really sweet.

A mate for Christmas box set of stories set around a few days before Christmas time. Mateship between humans, dragons, hellhouns, owls and Pegasus are created and the bonds between them are intricately formed either quickly or slowly burning. The intimate moments are there but luckily not that detailed.

Loved this collection
I am a huge fan of shifter and paranormal books and this one didn’t disappoint. It was laugh out loud funny at times and the shifters different from the usual bears and wolves. I highly recommend it if you like amusing, well written shifter romances.

Ready for a great read
Once again Zoe Chant has hit the mark, with this crazy story. I am so very glad that Olly came out of her shell and made Jackson the happiest of new Pegasus shifters.

The three stories in Collection 1 of "A Mate for Christmas #1-3" were love stories dealing with different shifters. In all the books the couples had problems to overcome. All the couples were likeable. I found all the stories romantic and light reading. They all had happy endings.

Christmas magic from the heart
This was such a wonderful, mushy, holiday love collection, I just can't even! So great! Each story gripped tight, showing the ups and downs, the sweet and the sorrow, but at the end the happy ending that comes with love! Definitely want more!!
This was such a wonderful, mushy, holiday love collection, I just can't even! So great! Each story gripped tight, showing the ups and downs, the sweet and the sorrow, but at the end the happy ending that comes with love! Definitely want more!!
