Veering from sexy to heartbreaking and hitting every stop in between, this short novella in verse tells the story of Marcellous and his many trials. Despite the drama, parts of it were quite relatable. (Who hasn’t cried at a publisher’s rejection letter?) I especially appreciated the healing power that writing brought to the main character’s life. I was looking for something different, and this rhyming drama was definitely that.
