Review of Young Men Shall See “This book is a vivid slice of growing up Southern in a time of racial truce if not yet true peace with honor. It's a fresh, honest look at that life in the 80s.”
— Richard Monaco, Two Time Pulitzer nominated author of the Parsival books
Great clean reading. Described the scenery and people so that they became alive to me as I read. This is a book that lets you see what the world could be if more men were like Robert Ambrose.
I chose a 5 rating because this book is about values that make us human, about good versus bad. The words flowed so easily that it makes the book a joy to read.
This was a good historical fiction. I didn't know ot was the third book in a series. I think I need to read 1 and 2. This may answer some of the questions I have.
It is continuation of a western saga of Robert Adams a former Confederate soldier seeking a peaceful life. It’s is his quest for a quiet life on his ranch is marred by a murder of a close friend. He will have to kill again to protect those he love and the land he loves.
It was alright read for a western. I was not that impress.
I won a copy of this book and enjoyed the story and the characters very much. The early settlers in Colorado faced many challenges. This story focuses on the theft of cattle and Robert Ambrose tracks down the culprits in spite of difficulties with the law.
This is the second book in the Ambrose Western Saga series. I have enjoyed both the first and the second. Both are well written and worthy of your reading time! Excellent author and story teller!
This is an enjoyable, clean western that entails an emotionally charged (post-Civil War) environment, cattle rustling, a corrupt sheriff and frontier justice… Life in Colorado prior to statehood. It’s a good one and RECOMMENDED
