Random Acts of LA
I think I’m beginning to notice a bit of a pattern with this series: the mostly ridiculously funny stories seem to alternate with the deep emotional ones. This book doesn’t have scene after scene of slapstick pratfalls; this story is more the angsty dramatic type. The humor that’s in here is found in little flourishes that lighten the mood and keep us from floundering in the emotional abyss. Maggie and Tyler’s story goes to some dark places. And parts of it made me want to bawl my eyes out. This pair of survivors are perfect together and I loved reading about them.
Random Acts of Christmas
This is Christmas as it can only happen to Darla, Trevor, and Joe. It’s not exactly an accurate comparison, but this felt a little like the Three Stooges do It’s a Wonderful Life. There’s all the zany slapstick humor we’ve come to expect and love from this series. There’s also some beautiful sweet moments showing the power and magic of the season.
Random Acts of Vegas
I spent so much of my time while reading this absolutely howling with laughter. Then there are these tricky little emotional truths that sneak up in the text and bite you in the butt. Things like each of us matters, judgements suck, and negative self talk never helped anyone. The interactions between the band and their 'extended family' was a joy to watch, because they are a family. They tease each other like siblings but they've always, always, got each others' backs. I can't wait to read more about the Random family and everyone who makes up their world.

Good read.
I’m really enjoying this series so I’m on to book 10 after this. At some point they were apparently free on Kindle Unlimited but not anymore. I’ve had to buy all except the first box set but it’s too strange and weird, hot and steamy, and sometimes laugh out loud funny not to keep reading.
